The Philippines and Indonesia have been pounded by tsunami, earthquakes and hurricanes. Here's Obama's response: “Indonesia’s an extraordinary country that’s known extraordinary hardship from natural disasters.” “I know firsthand that the Indonesian people are strong and resilient and have the spirit to overcome this enormous challenge. As they do, they need to know that America will be their friend and partner.”
Bush's response to the 2004 tsunami? He sent the US Navy with food, water, construction material, leadership and know how. He immediately got disaster relief funds released. Remember how he was excoriated, both nationally and internationally by media and world leaders for being stingy?
What has Obama done?
