May each of you have the heart to conceive, the understanding to direct, and the hand to execute works that will leave the world a little better for your having been here. -- Ronald Reagan

Marine Gives Voice What They Do and Believe

This is a response to the Dixie Chicks "Not Ready to Make Nice". Sung by active duty Marine Cpl David Thibodeaux, combat vet of both Iraq and Afghanistan.

Communication Breakdown and Control

This appears to be another step for the Obama administration to gain control of the internet. Homeland Security is beginning to shut down websites without notice claiming they are violating copyright laws. The excuse is that the sites are helping visitors download music, vids and other stuff illegally. There are laws and enforcement mechanisms to address this already. Why is ICE involved?

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is the division responsible for the shut downs. Truly? The immigration enforcement people that don’t enforce border law, or round up illegal’s so much, don’t prosecute employers that hire illegals, turn a blind eye to ‘sanctuary cities’ that defy federal law, are enforcing cyber copyright law? Say what?

Can you imagine the hue and cry of  Dems and other Statists if there were a Republican president enforcing this? The same people that objected to the government looking at what some bad guys were checking out of the library or buying at the bookstore, or listening to known terrorists' international calls to the US, or their international bank accounts monitored, have nothing to say or are in support of websites being shut down without due process or even notice. They support or have nothing to say about the violation of the forth amendment against unlawful search and seizures by the Obama administration and its enforcement arm the TSA.

They’ve been failing trying to get the “Fairness Doctrine” reinstated, which would effectively shut down conservative talk radio, and haven’t been able to get “Net Neutrality” passed. So they try other underhanded stuff.
(Net neutrality is not, of course, about neutrality - it’s about having government control and monitor what carriers are allowed to transmit, to whom, and at what rates with specific and immediate benefits to bandwidth hogs like youtube and specific and immediate limitations on premium services contracts like those Apple put in place with AT&T to give their iPhone a performance advantage.) Full article here.
The next election can’t get here fast enough to stop this Stalinist attempt to control communication and free speech.

Time for Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele to Hit the Road

Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele is up for reelection, and his time is up. He rode the TEA Party wave to huge Republican wins nation wide, and acts like he was instrumental in it.  Republicans gained 63 House seats with one race still being counted, six Senate seats, ten governorships, and control of several additional state and local houses, senates, councils, mayors and the rest. It happened in spite of him.

Steele has run up expenses, maxing out the $15 million he was given to work with. He started his term with a $23 million surplus, all if it gone and now the RNC is in the hole. There was $79 million raised between election cycles and that’s gone too. A lot of political donations this past cycle went to TEA Party’s, directly to the candidates themselves and conservative third party groups such as Freedomworks and Prosperity for Americans.

I had no objections to him initially, but when he backed down on Jurassic Press attacks and lies on Rush Limbaugh, and his whining about how tough he has it because of his race, he lost me. There were several interviews where he accepted the Liberal premise of questions. That’s weak. Bash ‘em back, show them for the biased, intolerant, liars they are.

He’s played fast and loose with money raising laws for political campaigns making it look like more money was donated than actually was. In Michigan for example, he got the State GOP to donate to the National GOP but gave the money back to the State GOP. Apparently more money can be given to the National level, but the National folks can put however much they want into to local level, or something like that; all to make it look like more money was raised there than was. I’d try and explain it better, but I can’t get my mind around such deviousness. I want an RNC chairman that is able to raise money without deviousness.

Then there was the sex club scandal. RNC operatives using RNC campaign money to visit a strip club, and had to fire his chief of staff when caught. Then it turns out that his “special assistant for finance”, Neil Alpert, was using the RNC debit card on lots of other stuff too. The Republicans attempt to behave according to a moral compass, and when they don’t it’s glaring, and gives the political opposition, that has no moral compass, to be able to cry “hypocrites!”.

There was his interview on “Good Morning America” where he said he and Obama have it tough because they’re black. This was part of his reasoning for attacks on him regarding the (poor) job he was doing as RNC chair. Even the puffy pasty dough boy, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs, had it right when he said at the time, “I think Michael Steele’s problem isn’t the race card; it’s the credit card.”

Not only have the Republican base reduced their donations to the RNC, but major donors have too. According the Federal Election Commission, eight or more big time donors in the year leading up to this last election have been giving directly to candidates or third party conservative groups.

Blowing a surplus budget plus all donated money to the RNC, staff spending money on stuff they shouldn’t be, him flying around in private jets and being chauffeured in limos, staying at five star hotels, not defending strong conservative voices, weakly accepting the stupid lying alleged reporters attack questions, and more, all speak the reason why this guy most go.

The RNC needs a spokesman that can generate donations, bash the Jurassic Press and expose them for what they are, control his/her and staff’s spending, and clearly explain conservative principals and programs.

Thanksgiving

George Washington's Proclamation of the First Thanksgiving:

Whereas it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor; and
Whereas both Houses of Congress have, by their joint committee, requested me "to recommend to the people of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer, to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many and signal favors of Almighty God, especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness:"
Now, therefore, I do recommend and assign Thursday, the 26th day of November next, to be devoted by the people of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being who is the beneficent author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be; that we may then all unite in rendering unto Him our sincere and humble thanks for His kind care and protection of the people of this country previous to their becoming a nation; for the signal and manifold mercies and the favorable interpositions of His providence in the course and conclusion of the late war; for the great degree of tranquillity, union, and plenty which we have since enjoyed; for the peaceable and rational manner in which we have been enabled to establish constitutions of government for our safety and happiness, and particularly the national one now lately instituted; for the civil and religious liberty with which we are blessed, and the means we have of acquiring and diffusing useful knowledge; and, in general, for all the great and various favors which He has been pleased to confer upon us.
And also that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations, and beseech Him to pardon our national and other trangressions; to enable us all, whether in public or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctually; to render our National Government a blessing to all the people by constantly being a Government of wise, just, and constitutional laws, discreetly and faithfully executed and obeyed; to protect and guide all sovereigns and nations (especially such as have shown kindness to us), and to bless them with good governments, peace, and concord; to promote the knowledge and practice of true religion and virtue, and the increase of science among them and us; and, generally, to grant unto all mankind such a degree of temporal prosperity as He alone knows to be best.

Another Shut Up and ....... Moment

The fabulously wealthy and famous Angelina Jolie believes Thanksgiving is a tale of murder and oppression, the subjugation of one culture by another.

Jolie is a “B” movie actor, a female version of Tom Cruise that has made a bundle making second rate movies with second rate talent. Yet she uses her platform as a nominal actress to bash the country that has supported her. The idea that Thanksgiving is a tale of murder is ridiculous beyond measure. She’s even made sure she’s going to be out of the country.

Maybe she should stay out of the country; give back whatever percentage of her domestic movie sales since this country is so venal. Any future movies she makes should only be released in foreign markets.

Truly, people in the arts just need to shut up and ply their craft. In Jolie’s case, she can read a little history and find out what really happened in the early years of this country, and perhaps read George Washington’s proclamation about Thanksgiving. Get a clue and be thankful. Good grief.

I’ve only seen a couple of her movies, the “Tomb Raider” ones just because it’s a cartoon of mindless mayhem and kinda fun. I don’t think were she to accidentally make a good movie, I’d be inclined to see it. On this Thanksgiving, on of the things I’m thankful for is that I haven’t wasted much time and money on her movies.

TSA Strip Search's Little Boy

Yet TSA chief John Pistole says:

“I see flying as a privilege. That is public safety issue so the government has a role in providing public safety and we need to do everything we can in partnership with the public to inform them about what their options are.”  “Passengers have a number of options as you go through screening. Bottom line is if someone decides they don’t want to have screening, they don’t have a right to get on the plane.”
Recognize this?
"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

Can you imagine the outrage that would be expressed by the Dems and Jurassic Press if this were going on by a Republican President? Look at the brouhaha created over the library stuff in the Patriot Act, or listening to calls between suspected terrorists overseas and people here, or the tracking of terrorists money in banks. That was with a Republican president. Yet not a word, or support and justification for the sexual harassment for the sick, elderly, disabled and children. But this is under a Democrat president.

I heard a caller on a talk show asking where the men are. Men are allowing the mothers, sisters, daughters, wives and children to be molested. Don't know that anyone can do something at the sites of the harassment; the penalties are prison and up to $11,000 dollar fine. If you go into the groping area, and decide you'd rather not go through with it and not fly, you will be arrested.

I heard another caller, that was in Iraq serving in the military, that said when they screened travelers there, they were much more respectful of them that what's she seeing American citizens being treated like here in their own country. And they were in a war zone!

NY City Mosque of Triumph Developers Apply for American Citizens' Money for the Insult

The New York Mosque of Triumph terrorist supporters, against the wishes of an overwhelming majority of American citizens, are still pushing for the insult to America to be built at ground zero. They have applied for money from the US government, our money, to do so. $5 million. Of your money.

There’s a program administered by the Lower Manhattan Redevelopment Corporation (LMDC) than disburses money since 9/11 for community development in the area. It’s been well chronicled that Imam Feisal who is the face of the project and developer Sharif El-Gamal have ties to Islamofacist terrorist organizations.

Feisal goes on and on about his understanding and empathy for the feelings of the American people, but continues on with his plans when the citizens are against this. Now he has applied of the citizens own money to build the monument of triumph over the West.

We find out now why these Islamofacists have been emphasizing the YMCA nature of the structure, not its core religious purpose. To qualify for funding under this program, “… the request is for a facility or portion of a facility that is dedicated to non-religious activities or uses.”

There’s a lot of criteria to be met, such as this grant money is usually used to help existing projects toward completion or several HUD rules and regulations.

These are people who’s primary purpose is the destruction of the West, the subjugation of everyone to Islamic rule, and they are using our freedoms and money to do this. They know that our political correctness and Liberal induced weaknesses are just the way to go, and get their goals accomplished with no sacrifice on their part. Thank you Barack Obama. Thank you Mayor Bloomberg. Thank you Democrats. Thank you all for your PCness, obedience to and promotion of Islamofacism.

Civilian Security Force?

TSA anyone?

Really?
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Crippled Water Foul [sic]

Naming the congressional session or presidential term after crippled water fowl when they are between terms, or headed out of office, goes back to England. A lame duck was originally a businessman that couldn’t pay his debts, and in the 1800’s started being used to identify politicians after elections and in between terms or sessions.

In 1933 the 20th amendment moved the starting of new sessions and terms for congress and president from March to January. This was done to close a power vacuum between administrations and congresses, and to reduce the chance of politicians to do even more harm to the country since they had nothing to lose, having already lost.

Historically lame duck congresses have not met, the thinking being, correctly, that if they had been voted out of power, they shouldn’t be passing legislation. Dems are more likely to do this, as they did in 1980 when pro-PLO and Hamas supporter and anti-Semite Jimmy Carter and the Dem congress passed the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act of 1980 in December before the new congress and Reagan came to power.

The controlling, greedy, power mad current congress, having been tossed out on their tin ears, are going to try and get their rejected agenda through in these last weeks of the year. Not surprised since they passed ObamaCare against the will of the people around midnight on Christmas Eve last year. Stealth legislation in the dead of night. This from the Administration that came to power stating they would drain the swamp, and have open and transparent governance.

The cowardly Dems closed congress before passing any economic legislation before the election. They didn’t even pass a budget as required by law. The rest of their Statist agenda was left pending. Still, the Dems will become a dumb duck session trying to pass all this stuff. “Don’t ask don’t tell” which is just a stupid debate. Who cares who you’re poking, just shut up about, anywhere, in or out of the military, and do your damn job. Then there’s the budget, which should have been done months ago, and related to that is whether to let the Bush tax cuts expire. Truly, it should be called the Obama tax increase. Then there’s the “Dream Act” which is a nightmare. Truly, we want illegal immigrants to pay in state tuition when our own citizens can’t afford college?

Then there’s ratification of the START treaty. I hope at least some of these congress critters have read it (unlike most legislation), and it should be put off anyway until the next session. These guys have been sitting on their collective asses on this, so it can wait. Let’s see, we have environmental legislation, part of which makes the gas you exhale while breathing illegal. These are the same knuckleheads saying we of the great unwashed ignore and are ignorant of science.

What else do they want to pass legislation on? Chinese currency and trade policy, food safety, which they tell us what we can eat and child nutrition policy telling us what we can feed kids, the Elementary and Secondary Education Act reauthorization (after education has received $billions of ‘stimulus’ money), passing a renewable electricity standard and yet more stuff. About twenty bills total they want to address. In less than eight weeks.

Many of these congress critters have been fired. This is like an incompetent employee being fired and still coming to work. We need to amend the 20th amendment to state that congress shall not meet after elections unless it’s a national emergency that requires their attention. Even then it would be better to keep them out of Washington DC. If these dumb ducks cared about the citizens like they say, they should embrace the chance to stay home in their districts with the folks for a couple months. Especially during the holiday season.

Where'd the Stimulus Money Go Anyway?

The Stimulus Package. It stimulated government just fine. There’s been a 20% increase in the size of government since Obama assumed power.

Where’d it go? It was supposed to go to the private sector to create jobs. Seen any new private sector jobs lately?

A huge chunk, most, went to education. You know, those union people that don’t teach our kids and whine they don’t get enough money for schools and salaries.  More than two thirds of the 594,754.3 jobs the Dems and RHINO’s take credit for, were in the education sector. There are more public sector union members than there are private sector. A third of those jobs are in education.
Stimulus money got some fat pay raises for government employees too. USA Today: “The number of federal workers earning six-figure salaries has exploded.”  “When the recession started, the Transportation Department had only one person earning a salary of $170,000 or more. Eighteen months later, 1,690 employees had salaries above $170,000.” Just a couple examples.

There was the “Cash for Clunkers” that blew through a billion dollars funding in a week, and then received an additional two billion from Congress. Three $billion spent for old cars by taxpayers, and no more cars were sold for the year than ordinarily. The rest of us couldn’t afford new cars because we’re paying for all that government largess for others to buy new cars. Then there was that issue too of Obama and the Dems closing down all those car dealerships; all but one of them being owned by Republicans.

So the package only benefited government employees, Democrat car dealership owners, unions and the Democrat Party. That money going to the unions by the way, your tax money, was used to finance Democrat politicians running for office in the last election. The circle of Statist life…take money from the citizens and give it to public union supporters to pay for your election so you can raise more taxes to give to the unions to pay off your political campaigns and life styles so you can raise more taxes to give more money to the unions to….

The collective personal wealth of congressional members increased by more than 16 percent between 2008 and 2009. Members of the House saw their median wealth move from $765,010 in 2008, to $645,503 in 2009 and Senators moved from $2.27 million to $2.38 million.

Looks like politicians, some Wall Street fat cats, government bureaucrats, and public sector union members did just fine with the stimulus package. Our Leftist friends think all this is fine and dandy. The citizens don't need none of their stinkin' money they earned. The money you earn belongs to the government in the first place, and they'll tell you how much of it you get to keep.

Draining the Swamp

Obama and his Dems are always confiscating, in increasing amounts, the earnings of citizens to pay off fat cats and give raises to themselves and government employees for little or no (badly done) work. Of course they can’t take care of their own finances as evidenced by our Vice President that is in trouble with the Federal Election Commission. He’s been fined $133,000 and only has $82,000 in his campaign coffers. The Bamster still has a little over $3 million and has asked the FEC to let Barry pay off little Joey’s debt.

No skullduggery in that story, but racist, liar and thief Charlie Rangel has been using tax payer money, and not paying his taxes, to live life writ large. He was found guilty by the House Ethics Committee this week on 11 of 13 ethics violations. The committee voted 9-1 to censure him. That used to mean something, but Dem politicians have the moral values of a goat, so he’ll have Nancy Pelosi tell him he’s been a bad boy. Rangel will keep his seat. Speaks volumes here that he, known to be one of the most corrupt politicians in congress, got reelected; the people in his district apparently approve of racism, lying, corruption and theft.

Like most Dems, they’re a bunch of juvenile crybabies. This FEC hearing was two years in the making. This past spring Rangel was saying he wasn’t guilty of anything, to bring it on. A couple months ago he fired his lawyer. During the hearing he was wah wah wah, I don’t have a lawyer, don’t have money to get a lawyer, and even walked out saying he was being denied due process. Then when the verdict comes down wah wah wah those guys did that and he wasn’t even there! Of course he’s in denial, saying “there’s no evidence of corruption”. Sorry Charlie. I’m sure your corruption runs a lot deeper that what you were caught doing.

Then there’s the corrupt lying racist Maxine Waters. She’s up on corruption charges too. It’s pretty bad when the corrupt Dem politicians can’t cover up for their own people any more; their sleaziness gets so deep and wide. She’s in hot water because she sponsored legislation that got her husband some big bucks. He was on the payroll of a lobbying group that Waters passed the legislation for. This is another sleaze ball that, like the bottom sucking Rangel, got reelected even with all kinds of corruption having been exposed. She’s gotten an extension on her hearing because:
“The Committee voted to recommit the matter regarding Representative Maxine Waters to the investigative subcommittee due to materials discovered that may have had an effect on the investigative subcommittee’s transmittal to the Committee.”
Let’s hope it’s something even worse and she gets some truly bad fine and booted out altogether.

When she came to power, Pelosi said she would drain the swamp. Didn’t happen. Now she could no longer protect these two of dozens of bottom suckers in the swamp she needed to survive. Now she’s out of power (though she thinks she’s still the honcho bottom sucker), so the Dem swamp is getting a little smaller, but done by voters. I don’t think she thought draining the swamp was to be accomplished by being such a loser leader that over sixty of her bottom sucking corrupt friends would be voted out of the swamp.

Sure Glad the US\Mexican Border Is Safe

Both Obama and Napolitano say the Mexican\US border is safer than ever before. Barry says he going to reduce what little military presence is there even further.

Not to mention all the murders and rapes going on.

Worth a re-post. The Who's "See Me, Feel Me" from "Tommy".

Obama and Homeland Security Won't Be Happy Until It Has The Heavy Hand of Government In Everybody's Pants, Literally

Maybe one in millions of travelers may be a terrorist. The government, instead of addressing the issue of terrorism and its source, Muslims and Islamofacism, will submit its citizens to dehumanizing behavior by God knows what kind of people. Even a three year old girl was molested by an employee of the US Government.

Glad We Live in a Post Racial America XV

The uber racist and extortionist Al Sharpton is at it again here trying to close down free speech. Statists are unable to get the Fairness Doctrine reinstated to shut down conservatives free speech, so they're trying here to use the race card. If you're white, conservative, Christian, then you're a racist. If you disagree with Obama you're a racist. If you belong to or agree with the TEA Party movement you're a racist. If you're for lower taxes and limited government you're a racist. Racist Sharpton soldiers on.

I think because of  Sharpton's racism and advocating using the government to shut down free speech, he should be brought up for investigation by the new Republican congress for using speech many whites, conservatives and upholders of the First Amendment find offensive.

Michele Bachmann: Obama's Healthcare Waivers Are Admission Of Failure

This is the Michele we love.

“What an abject failure is this government takeover of health care that fully 111 waivers have been issued? What does this mean? This is an admission of failure by the White House. They may not be admitting it, but their actions are admitting it. Why? Because we see universities and unions and favored companies are getting waivers. What’s a waiver? It’s an exemption. Why do they they need an exemption? Obamacare is a cost driving hiker. It’s a failure.

We were told we had to pass Obamacare. We couldn’t wait. We couldn’t even read the bill. We couldn’t take the time to even debate it. Because why? President Obama promised us, he promised that it would drive down the cost of health care. He promised. He promised.”

The Church, Government High Priests, and the People

I just posted about how the Liberals, Statists, Democrat Party mines the religious field in a most cynical and hypocritical manner possible. All that is part of the secularist movement and within that is the “spiritual but not religious” subculture.

Looking at Leftists disdain for religious people, that they are an ignorant weak stupid backward bunch of hicks, reminds us of Jesus, a hick raised away from the all knowing elites of Jerusalem. All us religious people out here in ‘flyover country’ are viewed the same way. A bunch unscientific, intolerant narrow-minded bigots.
High Priest Obama:
“And so part of the reason that our politics seems so tough right now, and facts and science and argument does not seem to be winning the day all the time, is because we're hard-wired not to always think clearly when we're scared. And the country is scared, and they have good reason to be.”
Secular Priest John Kerry:
“It's absurd. We've lost our minds. We're in a period of know-nothingism in the country, where truth and science and facts don't weigh in. It's all short-order, lowest common denominator, cheap-seat politics.”
The Washington DC crowed is the same as the Sadducees and Pharisees, a bunch of Elitists that know more and better that all the rest and tell us how to live. They think they know the Constitution better than the people, like the Religious elites of Jesus’ time thought they knew Scripture better than the people. Jesus proved he had a better way, and we Christians know we have a better way now.

That demeaning, unflattering view seeps into the Church, Protestant and Catholic. Some within the church buy into that view and use it as an excuse to leave. Many see the Church as backwards and not attended by very smart people. But if you suffer a set back and are hurting, do you go to your pastor or congressman? If you’re sick or injured do you go to a hospital (the idea and development belonging to Christians) or to your congressman or a government bureaucrat? When you have a need to surround yourself with the love of others, do you go to a meeting of the state assembly or church? When you want to help out, contribute, do you go to a charity or church, or a government program? When our country has a national tragedy, such as 9/11,  the churches filled, not government buildings. In the aftermath of Katrina the hard work of caring for the sick and lost and lonely, who provided the most people to help, and which people contributed the most and made the most sacrifice to help…Christians or government bureaucrats? Every week when I attend services I learn and am intellectually challenged.

There’s a lot to commend the Church. It’s under fire from within and without. What will hold it together is Love. I don’t know of Dorothy Day, but just doing a cursory review of her writings, it’s apparent she’s a prophet, and we should listen to her as part of our constant reforming of the church and filling it with even more love. I’ll trust my pastors before I trust my political representatives or bureaucrats. I’ll have a deep and passionate love for my church before any government bureaucracy. We Christians must be forever reminded that within the Church is where we find Love, the kind Christ talks about, and we must remain committed to it. We must be passionately in Love with the Church.

Archbishop Dolan on Loving the Church

Democrats Mining the Religious "Field" for Votes

The poll that shows more Democrats believe in UFO’s than God is one of my favorites. Coupled with the observation that one sees Democrat politicians in church mostly during campaigns, and mostly Black churches at that, is a telling tale.

Percolating in the Leftist media is the idea that part of the reason for the massive loss this past election is the Dems didn’t reach out to faith groups. (Still denying the truth that citizens don’t want the government raising taxes [taking their earnings away] and telling them how to live their lives). They think that they didn’t “target” Faith groups as aggressively this election cycle as they did the last, and this was a major factor in the loss. Truly, they’re thinking this.

They point to polls showing progressive religious people stayed home and didn’t vote. Obama, who is religiously fluent and a committed Christian (truly, they think this) didn’t speak to the Faithful. That Obama is a committed Christian is an amazing observation. This is the guy that early in his administration traveled the Islamofacist countries of the Middle East praising Islam and dismissing Christianity, and even called the US a Muslim nation. On his current Jihad Jaunt in Asia he’s been praising Islam at every stop. He hasn’t said a word about the way Christians are being tortured and murdered in Iraq and significantly ignored the recent violence against Christians, by Muslims, in Indonesia. Good grief, he was right there, and this violence is very recent. Instead he called Islam, once again, a religion of peace and tolerance. Truly?

The Democrat Party has a group, the Eleison Group, a consulting firm, tasked with targeting Faith groups with a political end in mind. If a politician or political party needs a consulting group to create an image of being a religious, or caring about faith based issues, then it’s obviously insincere. True religious people speak of such things from the heart. They don’t need consultants.

The internal discussion of this issue is now about how the Democrats need to increase the funding and staffing of faith based political action organizations, so the Republicans don’t have that “field” to themselves.  Religion as a political field to be mined for votes.

When Republican and Conservative politicians make statements about their faith, they are mercilessly attacked by the Left and Democrat politicians for expressing such a thing. Just ask George Bush and Sarah Palin. Democrats are constantly whining about the separation of church and state (Christine O’Donnell was right, it’s not in the Constitution) and wanting to tax churches (which would destroy most of them).

Democrats, Liberals, Statists continue with their dishonesty in this, as they do with most things. Bash Christians in between elections and go to church during elections. Call Obama a “committed” Christian when all he’s done is be dismissive of Christianity, and having consulting groups advise how to veil their anti-Christian bigotry to trick people into voting for them.

They worship the State, and those damn Christians keep getting in the way with all those biblical values and are keeping everybody from worshipping the State too.

San Francisco Looking to Ban Slicing Little Weenies

Liberalism, Statism, Democrat Party is all about taking things away from the people to gain power for themselves. They deny it of course, but one only needs to look to San Francisco and look at what unopposed Liberalism is taking away, banning, from the citizens. It’s astonishing that millions of people there have no problem with this.

Most recently, a petition is being circulated in San Francisco to ban circumcision. Truly. The author of this is Lloyd Schofield, who wants to "make it a misdemeanor to circumcise, excise, cut or mutilate the foreskin, testicle or penis of another person who has not attained the age of 18.” He wants the penalty to be at least $1000 and up to a year in jail. He needs 7100 signatures and I’m sure he’ll have no problem getting them.

So far San Francisco has banned pets, soda, plastic bags and McDonald’s Happy Meals. I thought too that liberals, especially the San Fran variety, cared about the homeless, but have passed the “sit/lie" ordinance banning people from sitting or lying down on the sidewalks between 7am and 11pm. What are those poor homeless people supposed to do?

The rest of the country this past election has said enough of this government meddling in the lives of the citizens, but California has decided to forge ahead. Leftists want to control everything, if you have pets or not, what kind of shopping bags you can use, what you can eat (Bloomberg in NY dictating how much salt restaurant cooks and chefs can put in their food), and now whether or not you can circumcise your baby.

Suicide Bombers on Strike!

Muslim suicide bombers in Britain are set to begin a three-day strike on Monday in a dispute over the number of virgins they are entitled to in the afterlife. Emergency talks with Al Qaeda have so far failed to produce an agreement. The unrest began last Tuesday when Al Qaeda announced that the number of virgins a suicide bomber would receive after his death will be cut by 25% this December, from 72 to only 54. The rationale for the cut was the increase in recent years of the number of suicide bombings and a subsequent shortage of virgins in the afterlife.

The suicide bomber's union, the British Organization of Occupational Martyrs (BOOM) responded with a statement that this was unacceptable to its members and immediately balloted for strike action. General Secretary Abdullah Amir told the press, "Our members are literally working themselves to death in the cause of Jihad. We don't ask for much in return, and to be treated like this is like a kick in the teeth."

Speaking from his shed in Tipton in the West Midlands, in which he currently resides, Al Qaeda chief executive Osama bin Laden explained, "We sympathize with our workers concerns, but Al Qaeda is simply not in a position to meet their demands. They are simply not accepting the realities of modern-day Jihad in a competitive marketplace. Thanks to Western depravity there is now a chronic shortage of virgins in the afterlife. It's a straight choice between reducing expenditure and laying people off. I don't like cutting wages but I'd hate to have to tell 3,000 of my staff that they won't be able to blow themselves up."

Spokespersons for the Union in the north east of England, Ireland, Wales, and the entire Australian continent stated that the strike would not affect their operations, as "there are no virgins in their areas anyway."

Apparently the drop in the number of suicide bombings has been put down to the emergence of Scottish singing star Susan Boyle - now that Muslims know what an actual virgin looks like they are not so keen on going to paradise.

Driscoll Middle School Trick Play

How fun is this?

Obama's Foreign Policy

Obama is in India with all his planes and automobiles, trying to be impressive and garner adulation there since there's not much left for him here. His foreign policy has pretty much made us a mockery in the world, and especially all his scraping and bowing before Islamofacists have only had the effect of them even being more threatening, I thought this is a pretty good metaphor for his foreign policy.

Empathy and Evolution

Food for thought.

People Doing Some Amazing Things

No Compromise

It's only when there's bipartisanship that Republicans get grief. Afghanistan was bipartisan, TARP was bipartisan, Iraq was bipartisan, "No Child Left Behind" education act was bipartisan, to name the biggies. Then the Republicans get blamed, no Dems mentioned, when things go south.

It's absolutely crucial that Obama's reach across the aisle to "compromise" on reducing the "Bush Tax Cuts" be rejected. These guys really believe that $200,000 a year is a lot of money. After all the fees and taxes from all the Federal, State and local governments are taken, plus all the sales taxes, more than half is gone. That Leftist mantra of "how are we going to pay for it", referring to all the government expenditures, needs to be re-languaged. The question should be, how can any citizen afford to pay for it (having even higher taxes, more reduced income)?

When I was born the income tax rate was 2% so we could pay down the war (WWII) debt. It has gone up ever since then, with a couple breaks along the way. Obama and the Dems, still not backing down on tax increases, keep saying they only want to raise taxes on those making over $200,000 a year. Remember when Obama said he was going to cut taxes for 95% of Americans, and has kinda claimed he did? Well why don't we increase those taxes? You know, the Obama Tax Cuts. He and the Dems still don't get that they were soundly beaten in the last elections partially because the citizens are saying enough to the tax increases already.

Here's a compromise. Only Democrats making over $200,000 a year get their taxes increased if they believe in high taxes so much. I think too the marginal tax rate of 90% that was in place before JFK cut them should be levied against George Soros, Bill Gates and all other Democrats at that level of wealth. The Dems tried to target tax increases to certain businesses and people, but even the Leftist Judaical branch rejected it as unconstitutional. Out of fairness, they should voluntarily give 90% of their wealth to the government. It would be a big help, they'd still be multi millionaires, and they would have a chance to walk the talk, contribute, and be moral and caring too.

Wealthy Dems, Amerika needs you. Give it up...

Seriously, here's the compromise. All the "Bush Tax Cuts" will be permanent, and you Dems get to figure out how to compromise on reducing expenditures. Say no to Obama. Republicans need to take a page from the Dems. "You lost, we do it our way."

Maybe This Will Help the Dems Understand What Happened on Election Day

Akiane Kramarik- Child Artist

Interview with her.

Checking out the comments on YouTube about her, are what one expects. Vile, vicious, profane bigotry. Good grief, could you imagine Christians saying such things about an atheist's work?
This is a girl with an amazing talent.

Statist Judges Booted

Iowa has it right, and we hope that other states take the idea and run with it. We have a major problem in this country, and that’s judges legislating from the Bench when they think the Citizens are too stupid to know what’s right and good for them.

Iowa voters kicked three Statist Supreme Court alleged judges off the bench. They had overturned the will of the people and made same sex marriages legal in that state. If the Citizens through their legislators had created a law for that it would have been an okay thing, but they didn't.

Iowa has a pretty cool system for controlling out of control judges called the “Missouri Plan”. A politically balanced committee nominates the judges and from them the governor appoints. After that they are up for reelection. These three judges, Chief justice Marsha Ternus and justices David Baker and Michael Streit lost their reelection bid. The idea that judges are in that position for life was a good one, but that was when judges knew the Constitution and Law. What was a good idea to avoid political influence has been turned on its head so judges now use their power to overrule the Citizens and impose their own Leftist view of the law. The worst example of this is when a few months ago a California alleged judge, gay by the way, overturned a proposition overwhelmingly approved by over 7 million voters, stating the definition of marriage is something only between a man and a woman.

We commend the Iowa voters for their right decision. There are several states where judges have ruled the will of the people unconstitutional, when in fact the laws were just un-Liberal. We need to see more states with the Missouri Plan. Judges shouldn’t be above the rule of law either.

Joseph Sobran - A Tribute

I learned this past week of the passing of one of my favorite political writers, Joseph Sobran. I read everything he wrote for National Review all during the 1980’s; he was instrumental in educating me about Conservatism. I was so indoctrinated in Marxism and the Leftist cultural mindset that it took about the whole decade to clear my head of it.

He had written a piece that was so clear and succinct about what conservatism was that it became a large part of my foundation of political thought. I wrote him a few years ago asking if he had a copy of it he could forward to me, and he wrote back it was the property of National Review. I’m hoping with Sobran’s passing that his collected works get published.

He was one of the finest political writers ever; a joy to read. Some just put together words in a way that not only are the ideas clear, but the syntax and structure are just lovely.

Here’s a line from “Pensees”, the piece that had such an impact on me.
“There are natural limits to our sympathies, limits liberalism can only condemn, never respect. And there is no reason to credit its attitude with ‘idealism’. A robin that took worms to every nest in the forest would not be an ideal robin; it would only be an odd bird.”
More:
"Nothing is easier than to imagine some notionally ‘ideal’ state. But we give too much credit to this debased kind of imagination, which is so ruthless when it takes itself seriously. To appreciate, on the other hand, is t imagine the real, to discover use, value, beauty, order, purpose in what already exists; and this is the kind of imagination most appropriate to creatures, who shouldn’t confuse themselves with the Creator.
The highest form of appreciation is worship. I don’t insist that there is a correlation between formal religion and conservatism. But there is an attitude prior to any creed, which many make a healthy-minded unbeliever regretful that he has nobody to thank for all the goodness and beauty in his life that he has done nothing to deserve. One might almost say that the crucial thing about a man is not whether he believes in God, but how he imagines God: as infinitely good and adorable, or merely as an authoritarian obstacle to human desire? The opposite of piety is not unbelief, but crassness."
I had rejected Christianity while in my 20’s, opting for all the fluffy headed new ageism. My evolution from Marxism to Conservatism lead to my returning to Christianity. That took longer, about 15 years until I returned to the Faith and the Church and got baptized. Looking back it’s related to the idea Sobran noted about the correlation between religion and conservatism.

Now comes the sad part of the story. William F Buckley fired Sobran in the late 1980’s because it became apparent he was an anti-Semite. The National Review issue right after Sobran’s firing was completely written by Buckley, “In Search of Anti-Semitism”. I read most of it then, and didn’t get much of it, partly because Buckley’s intellectual prowess so outstrips mine, and I was still in the process of intellectual and spiritual transformation.

After the firing and the whole NR issue being written by Buckley, Sobran’s career was pretty much destroyed. He associated more with lesser intellects, and anti-Semitic organizations, he lost his audience, and his health declined. He died alone and broke. He could have changed his thinking, gone to Buckley for help and asked for forgiveness, but was intransigent in his views.

I am saddened that he lost his way. This was a brilliant mind that had such a powerful influence on my political thinking, and I pray that he’ll be remembered for that brilliance and not for the ideas that lead to his personal and professional destruction.

A Minor Triumph for Christian Woman Wanting Christian Roommate

We're glad to hear that an attack from an anti-Christian bigot got stopped. The bigot had filed a complaint with the Michigan Department of Civil Rights because a woman had posted a roommate wanted page on the church bulletin board, stating she wanted a Christian roommate. Posted in church no less! Story originally posted here

The suit was rejected finding no violation of housing law.

The suit was filed through the bigoted hate special interest group Fair Housing Center of West Michigan, which reportedly gets bucks for finding and submitting these kinds of charges.

We are glad to see the State finally applying law correctly, rather than perverting it to meet its own needs for the suppression of Christianity.
