Cremation has become more acceptable and has increased by 30% in the last couple of decades, and in the next twenty or so years it's expected about half the departed will be cremated. Urns will still be needed, and columbaria, which I've learned are vaults where the urns containing the ashes of the dead are put.
As we baby boomers take our final rest, the issue will intensify; the death rate will double over the next 20 years.
