Ready for the End of Our Constitutional Republic?

Massachusetts will shortly be sending a bill to their governor to abolish the Electoral College and have the US President elected directly by popular vote. A lot needs to fall into place for this to happen, most importantly enough states have to pass this law for it to be effective. So far only five states [Illinois, New Jersey, Hawaii, Maryland, and Washington] have, with a total of 61 electoral votes.

The Left has always been for getting rid of the electoral college because they think that more people vote for the Democrat nominee. Historically, the popular vote winner has lost 4 times in 56 national elections. Were we to go to 'direct democracy' for presidential directions, New England states, Ohio, Florida and California would decide the president; that's where most of the folks live, and they're mostly Liberals. Good thing for the Dems, explaining their support.

Dems say that candidates ignore "huge swaths" [Senator James B. Eldridge] of the country now, only going to states with a lot of electoral votes. Of course that's not true, the opposite is true; just look at the campaign stops in the past.

Got to wonder, what are the states with this law going to do election night? Wait until the votes are in for the whole country? What if, per usual, Mass votes for the Dem nominee, and the most votes nationally are for the Republican? How do such anti-Constitutional knuckleheads get voted in? I swear, I see some questionable decisions made by corporate managers, but nothing that would destroy the institution of a company like these knuckleheads will destroy the foundation of this Constitutional Republic.

The Electoral College ensures each state, even in the "flyover country" hated by Liberals and inside the beltway knuckleheads, get to have a say who will be president. Leave it alone.

There's a reason the Founding Fathers set up a representative government. It works. Leave it alone.
