Need an Operation? Call Your Congressman

Obama has made an appointment to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). There was a big kerfuffle when he announced this character, but the formal announcement wasn't made, so there were no hearings. Usually Obama just hires a 'czar' to run things so he can bypass Senate confirmation hearings. Some have been run out of town after it being noted that they were self identified Communists, racists, or both. This nominee to CMS is Dr. Donald Berwick.

This is why Obama skipped Senate confirmation hearings and made a recess appointment. All presidents have done this, but this one is especially egregious. There needs to be some new rules regulating this practice.

Dr. Berwick:
"I cannot believe that the individual health care consumer can enforce through choice the proper configurations of a system as massive and complex as health care. That is for leaders to do." See people, you are too stupid to make your own health decisions, the government must do it for you.

"You cap your health care budget, and you make the political and economic choices you need to make to keep affordability within reach." Sarah Palin's "Death Beds" anyone?

"A progressive policy regime will control and rationalize financing—control supply."

"Health care is a common good—single payer, speaking and buying for the common good." Obama's goal has always been single payer healthcare, and there's several vids with him saying so. He quit saying it a little before running for the presidency because he knows American Citizens don't want it.

"And it's important also to make health a human right because the main health determinants are not health care but sanitation, nutrition, housing, social justice, employment, and the like." Your health isn't important, Statist political agenda is. What health care you get will be a political decision, not a medical one.

"One over-demanded service is prevention: annual physicals, screening tests, and other measures that supposedly help catch diseases early." Taking care of yourself? Not on the governments dime, which used to be your dime. ObamaCare absolutely will move everyone onto a single payer system.

"Young doctors and nurses should emerge from training understanding the values of standardization and the risks of too great an emphasis on individual autonomy." Are you getting concerned yet?

Are you really ready to have your health decisions turned over to politicians? The Left mocked Sarah Palin's death bed analogy, but here it is being advocated. Need a procedure or operation? Maybe your Congressman can do it.

You will not be able to make your own health decisions; the government will limit what care people get, the government will tell you what you can do regarding any issue. As a side note, Grandma may not get that hip replacement or operation to keep her alive because her being kept healthy or alive with that added "government" expense isn't viable, but abortions paid for by the government are. That's definitely in the ObamaCare bill. ObamaCare is officially the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of March 25, 2010, and State funded abortions are in there. It's couched in legalese, but it's in there.

Ultimately this guy and his successors will be the arbitrators of who lives and who dies, who gets well and who suffers based on partisan political realities. HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius is very much on board with this. CMS by the way, has a bigger budget than the Pentagon. Be afraid, be very afraid.
