Our Anti-Israel Administration

It's no secret except to the Jurassic Press and Obama supporters, Obama and the Dems are pro-Palestinian and Muslim Brotherhood, and anti-Israel. A few days ago White House Press Secretary Carney refused to name the capital of Israel.

He could of at least stated the White House position on this. I follow politics very closely, and I have no idea what this administration's position is on the capital of Israel. It's obviously Jerusalem to the rest of us. Of course Obama's support of Islam keeps him from saying anything in support of Israel.

Here's a little history of the issue since Obama has been in office.

Most recently, the first female ex-Speaker of the House said that Republicans are exploiting Jews in this country. Something to do with economics, or something. It's hard to make sense out of anything this woman says. Then again, she believes that the more people on unemployment and getting food stamps is a boost to the economy. Yes, she said that. Really and truly.

Pelosi: "Well, that’s how they’re being exploited. And they’re smart people. They follow these issues. But they have to know the facts. And the fact is that President Obama has been the strongest person in terms of sanctions on Iran, which is important to Israel. He’s been the strongest person on whether it’s Iron Dome, David’s Sling, any of these weapons systems and initiatives that relate to Israel. He has been there over and over again." Article here

Except Obama has never been to Israel.

This is a President that told the Israeli Prime Minister to give up land to their country to 1967 pre-war boundaries.

He's against Israel building in Jerusalem in the Jewish sector.

When Netanyahu visited he was shown in a side door, had dinner by himself and staff, and Obama kept him waiting for about an hour.

Here's a rather long [30min] vid, but is an excellent history of Obama's treatment of Israel.
This president has continually blamed Israel for the problems in the Middle East and supported Islamic countries against the Jewish State. This includes Hamas, Hezbollah and the PLO.

Time to Take the Boot of Gov't Off the Back of Business

This is rousing and true. Mike Kelly on the floor of the House of Reps

It's come to this. Do we want to continue to have the Democrats run business in America, one of the definitions of fascism, or let the free enterprise system do what it has successfully done for a couple centuries. For five thousand years before the founding of this country mankind has lived under tyranny, and suffered and was poor financially and in spirit as a result. The Declaration of Independence and our Constitution freed people and look how we flourished; the freest and most successful civilization in history. Now Obama and the Democrat Party want us to live in pre-Constitution days, and obey them.

Bain, Bane, So Lame

Because Leftists politicize everything, I'm compelled to comment on the new Batman movie. When I say everything, you can't read a movie review, restaurant review, sports commentary, recipe or food review by a Leftist that doesn't include some snarky slimy slam against a Christian, Conservative or Republican. Even Anthony Bourdain, my favorite food and travel writer, often does it on "No Reservations"; isn't necessary or have anything to do with what he's talking about.

Back to Batman. "The Dark Knight Rises" delivered. Good story and action. It is, at the end, just a comic book story and nothing more. Just before its general public release, the Dems came out in ads and talking points connecting the lead evil character Bane, to Bain Capital, to its previous CEO Mitt Romney. A stretch even for Democrats, but they often have a problem distinguishing between reality and fiction.

This, to my great hilarity, was a major backfire. In the movie, Bane was all about destroying the rich, taking all their wealth, then destroying the city. He was doing all this to "liberate" the people of Gotham. There's a "people's court" where the rich are condemned to die. There are scenes where the "poor" break into businesses and homes and take all those possessions.

Politicized like the Left likes to do, Bane represents a composite of Obama, Reid and Pelosi approving and leading the "Occupy" movement. The want to strip the wealth of the most productive and successful, actually steal it and use it for themselves (while denouncing materialism of the rich), then destroy the city. The correlation of destroying the city is because the Left, whether "Occupy" or any other protest, they rampage through downtown areas destroying property.

It's amazing the principles and ideology they subscribe to, Marxism, is all and only about materialism. Marxism is only about supplying material needs, and rejects any notion there are any other human needs to be met.

So Bain haters, Bane lovers, the Black Knight's joke is on you.

Main Stream Media's Criminal Negligence

Whenever there's an act of violence the Jurassic Press is quick to connect conservatives to the act. Gabby Giffords and several others being gunned down, alleged journalists quickly tied the gunman to conservatives, and if I remember correctly, to the TEA Party specifically. "Occupy" movement murders under reported or not reported. But they're Leftists, so get a pass. The gunman was just crazy and had no political affiliations.

Remember the Wall Street bomber?  Leftist New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg said at the time, and the Jurassic Press agreed about the bomber: “a mentally deranged person or somebody with a political agenda that doesn’t like the health care bill or something.” Those violent TEA Partiers and Conservatives. "Occupy" movement women are getting raped. Not reported or under reported by the Jurassic Press. The Time Square bomber actually arrested was Pakistan-born American citizen Faisal Shahzad.  Definitely not a TEA Party member.

Remember that guy that flew his plane into the IRS building in Texas? From the NY Times report on the event, alleged journalist Robert Write: “given the apparent momentum of the Tea Party movement, it would be nice to know if Stack’s kamikaze mission was a not-all-that-shocking emanation from it — whether, as some claim, more than a few Tea Partiers are unhinged.”  The piece was titled “The First Tea-Party Terrorist?” The guy that did it hated the Bush's and was a Marxist. "Occupy" rioters rampage through cities doing $millions in damage to buildings. Not reported or under reported by the Jurassic Press.

The Oklahoma City bombing. The Jurassic Press immediately blamed right wing extremists, which is anyone not on board with the Marxist agenda, and Bill Clinton specifically blamed Rush Limbaugh. Really and truly. It was Limbaugh's fault.

This one is a bit more obscure, taking place in 2009. A census worker hanged himself in Kentucky with the word "fed" on his chest. Reported by the Jurassic Press: “Speculation has run rampant that the Sparkman case may be related to the vitriol” [of TEA partiers] ...“a time when talk media, tea parties and white-hot town-hall meetings have fanned antigovernment sentiment.” In Time ragazine no less.

Now this latest. Leftist alleged journalist Brian Ross, right after the Colorado theater murders yesterday makes a connection of Jim Holmes the murderer to 52 year old Colorado resident of the same name, who, surprise surprise surprise, is a TEA Party member! Even worse, a TEA Party organizer! The horror! Alleged news media outlets without question reported this. Ross later said he got the info from social media and it's Facebook's fault or something. No, Ross is an irresponsible alleged reporter and Leftist hack for the Democrat Party.

It's Leftists that riot, murder, destroy, rampage, clash with the police. The Jurassic Press will always initially claim it was conservatives or TEA (Taxed Enough Already) Party members. Watch for reports blaming Leftist violence being sparked by the TEA party, it's not their fault.

Releasing Barry's Secret Past...Good Enough for Romney, Good Enough for Obama

Barry Sotero in College
The Dems and Obama have been pounding Romney to release all his tax records since the beginning of forever. Some stupid establishment RINO's have asked the same. Of course if he did, the rest of the campaign would be Romney defending every line of every return. Romney knows this, though I wonder why he hasn't done the obvious; tell Obama he wants a release of all his college, tax, and travel records which are sealed by the most transparent presidency ever.

Obama had a single mom with no apparent steady income. He gets dropped off at his grandparents who have a nominal middle class income. He gets loaded and hangs out with his "choom" gang. He takes month long vacations by train and stays in hotels. Where'd that money come from? His single part time employed mom? His middle class grandparents? How could they afford such a thing? He comes to live on the Mainland for the first time when he goes to Occidental College. Where'd he get the money for that? In his second year there, he travels to  Indonesia, Hyderabad, India , Karachi, Pakistan and Africa. He wasn't working, he was getting loaded and partying. Where'd he get the money? We want to see this tax returns and travel receipts.

From his world travels he returns to Columbia University. Where'd he get the money for that?

From there he goes to work as a community organizer, reportedly a $12,000 a year job, and even in the 1980's not a livable income. While there, this unknown low end guy meets Antoin "Tony" Rezko, who subsequently has been convicted of fraud and bribery. A couple years in Chicago doing this fake low paying job shaking down local government, he's off to Harvard Law School, very very expensive stuff. How did he pay for that?

Done with that, in 2005 he buys a $1.65 million house in Chicago. Where'd he get money for that? Rezko got him a sweetheart deal. Where's the contracts for that?

Where'd he get the money to run for the state senate seat? Where'd he get the money to run for the Federal Senate Seat? Where are his purchase contracts? Where are his tax returns for all those years? Where are his grade transcripts for those three colleges? Did he take out student loans? Did he or someone else pay them off? Did someone pay for his education if he didn't take out loans? Where are the papers he wrote? He had to have written some to get the degrees he has.

This is a great summary of Obama's golden effortless path to the Whitehouse.

Obama Says Your Success Isn't Yours, It's Other People's

Plus Obama says he's "made a trillion dollars worth of cuts"... in addition to saying if you're successful, it because of other people's doing. This man\child has gone beyond delusional.

"There are a lot of wealthy, successful Americans who agree with me — because they want to give something back.  They know they didn’t — look, if you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own.  You didn’t get there on your own.  I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart.  There are a lot of smart people out there.  It must be because I worked harder than everybody else.  Let me tell you something — there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there."

and

"If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help.  There was a great teacher somewhere in your life.  Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive.  Somebody invested in roads and bridges.  If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that.  Somebody else made that happen.  The Internet didn’t get invented on its own.  Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet." [emphasis mine]

Just a reminder, the biggest boost to the economy during the Clinton years is he signed off on Welfare Reform, employment went up, with more people working, revenues to the government went up. Not because taxes went up on the wealthiest.

Lots of Dems believe and say the money you earn is the government's, and the government decides what you can keep. That's turning out to be true with ObamaTax, aka ObamaCare and $billions in new regulations on businesses. Only a man\child with no accomplishments of his own would believe such a thing, let alone say it. This is the result of being pampered and coddled and telling him he's wonderful all his life, then promoted by some obviously rich Marxists that pay paved his road to the White House.

From high school student, to college student, to Ivy League college student, to post grad Ivy League, to "community organizer" (how much does that pay?), to State senator, to US Senator, to president. No effort, no set backs, in investments, no papers, no tax returns, no nothing. Yet, he has the temerity to tell those the sacrificed, invested time and money that their success is the results of others. Added to that call his opponent a felon for not releasing all of his tax returns and details of all his business dealings. I'm too disgusted by this pampered lying lazy crybaby.

"The Little Blue Book" Leftists\Democrats Political and Cultural Playbook

Communist (self proclaimed), Racist and Truther Van Jones who served, along with several other Communists and Racists in the Obama Administration, said the following:
"Shouldn’t we have the right and the liberty to be energy producers and not be dictated to twelve times a year by energy companies that dictate how much we’re going to pay for energy, when we’re going to pay it, how many asthma inhalers we’re going to have as a consequence?  Shouldn’t we have the liberty as Americans to power this country in a new way?
If all you care about is individual economic liberty and you don’t give a hoot about justice, you get a different type of tyranny.  You get corporate tyranny.  No, no.  They say, 'Well, Obama is a socialist, you see?  The government is trying to take over the economy.'  BS.  The corporations are trying to take over the government!  That’s what’s happening!"

The wording is key. Working for a corporation that you can walk away from, buying from a company you can walk away from is tyranny. Submitting to a government that can fine and jail you if you don't comply with their rules, is liberty.

Notice how Leftists always call a baby in the womb a fetus? Women's right to choose or reproductive rights is the languaging. Bring up there's a baby in there, a human being, they get all in a tizzy. No it's not! Control the language, control the debate. It's why it's so hard to talk to these people. They refuse, by design, to use normal language, but "reframe" it into their own.

The source of this idea of using language to alter reality, put the debate in one's own terms is from "The Little Blue Book". Like Mao's "Little Red Book". Guides to effective totalitarianism.  A character named George Lakoff is the author of this, and it turns out he's as exalted by the Left as much as Saul Alinski.

In an interview with Leftist Charlie Rose a few days ago Obama said: “When I think about what we’ve done well and what we haven’t done well, the mistake of my first term – couple of years – was thinking that this job was just about getting the policy right. And that’s important. But the nature of this office is also to tell a story to the American people that gives them a sense of unity and purpose and optimism, especially during tough times.”…  Ummmm, so it's not so important to have policies that work, but to have a good message?  More of Our Dear Leader: "It's funny - when I ran, everybody said, well he can give a good speech but can he actually manage the job?" ... "And in my first two years, I think the notion was, 'Well, he's been juggling and managing a lot of stuff, but where's the story that tells us where he's going?' And I think that was a legitimate criticism".

Notice whenever a Dem loses and election they never say the issue was the content of their policies, but they didn't get the message out? That idea comes from "The Little Blue Book". You know, the one kinda like the Communist "Little Red Book",  the latter of which several in the Obama Administration openly admire.

This has to do with his concepts of "labeling" and "frames". You just create a frame to fit your message, people will start believing it. One can throw in a lot of false metaphors to give the false impression of  'this is the truth'. Thus, if you fail, it's because you used the wrong frames and labeling, creating the wrong message, so people misunderstand. So you can then label a program as cost reducing when it isn't, and say it still is, we just didn't say it right. Yeah, I know, they actually believe that. Really and truly. If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck and walks like a duck, it's a dog. Labeling. Framing.

Lakoff and his coauthor Elizabeth Wehling view conservatives as stupid and desirous of a controlling father figure government, i.e. totalitarian. This is because Conservative families have strict overbearing fathers, even controlling their submissive wives. Liberal families have co-equal moms and dads, and the result is liberty loving smart kids. Really, he says these things. Leftists live by it, even if they don't know the guy or his book.

That Conservatives are totalitarian and Leftists the liberty lovers gets turned on its head by the evidence noted even by citizens paying little attention to the culture wars or politics. Backfire.

Here's the backfire, noted by Zombie, his full article here. [It's a detailed analysis of the book.]
"There’s a new frame in town: The nanny state. In a masterful maneuver of political aikido, conservatives have taken Lakoff’s antediluvian “strict father conservatism” frame and completely reversed it. Conservatism now stands for freedom from authority, while is it progressivism that seeks to implement the new scolding parent metaphor, now known as the “nanny state.” It’s liberals who want to tell you what to do and what is allowed, not conservatives.
And this frame is widely accepted by the general public not simply because of superior conservative messaging, but because there is evidence backing it up. It is mostly liberal politicians, not conservative politicians, who pass laws and regulations telling citizens what they can and cannot do, what they must and must not buy, what they are and are not allowed to say.
Who seeks to impose the “strict parent” paradigm now? Liberals. And everyone knows it. Yet still there’s George Lakoff off by his lonesome still pounding his fists about “strict father conservatives.” All the rhetoric in the world can’t hide the fact that conservatism now stands for unintrusive small government, and that progressivism stands for intrusive big government. The “nanny state” frame is so powerful and self-evidently true that it can’t be ignored away, and can’t be euphemized away."

As noted earlier, Obama still blames the message. Come November when he looses to Romney, he'll still claim his policies were correct, evidence to the contrary, and his message was flawed. He'll think too, like Leftists do, that the citizens are stupid and just didn't get it, how good they had it under Our Dear Leader's Regime.

Jesus Was A Muslim. Yes, Some Think This

In college I wondered sometimes how the guy\woman standing in front of the class came to be a professor. I see or hear professors on talk shows and wonder the same. Here's certainly a prime example.

One would think Jesus the Christ, the central figure of Christianity, would only be that. But no, an alleged professor, Robert F. Shedinger, professor at Iowa’s Luther College, thinks Jesus might have been a Muslim. Huh? Not that Jesus predated Mohammed by six hundred years or anything.

It's because Islam is a "social justice" movement, you know, for killing people, even other Muslims, because they don't agree with you, beating and stoning women, honor killings, female circumcision, that kind of social justice. Flying planes into buildings and killing thousands of innocent people, calling and working for the extermination of Jews, that kind of social justice. Justice by the way, is about the law, and blind. "Social justice" is a made up Leftist perversion of the concept of "justice" designed to justify violating the law to meet their own totalitarian ends.

Mohammed and the Koran talk about Jesus, not the other way around, just in case there are those out there not tuned into history or are deliberately rewriting it. Some of the YouTube comments also indicate some are buying into this cockamamie idea.  At best Mohammed stole ideas from Jesus and the Apostle Paul for his own ends and Mohammed was a more like a Christian; even that idea is too stupid to contemplate. Shedinger talks about a "Christianized" Jesus, that the emphasis on him as a spiritual savoir is wrong headed. Huh?

The vid has irritating background music, but here's the knucklehead talking about his book. Yes, he actually was able to fill a whole book with this nonsense.

Checkpoints Here There and Everywhere

We have the TSA groping citizens flying within the country, not coming across borders. From the looks of this we have check points on highways not crossing borders. I understand local checkpoints for drunk drivers. We have a check points going into California checking for produce, which is just a job holder since most of the time we're just waved through without being checked; its just a mini traffic jam in the middle of the desert.

This vid done Westbound I-8 in Southern California

http://youtu.be/fDCXzqgD99o

The comments section on this vid are just amazing. As usual one must cut through the insults, profanity, and profane insults, and more profanity, what's the problem with these people? ....totally missing the point of this exercise. There are many that see not problem with this expansion of government authority, or that it's futile to resist. Amazing.

Our next checkpoints are the "exchanges" to get health care, see a doctor, get treatment because of ObamaCare.

The Left's Hatred of Mormons

The Re-elect Obama Press and the Democrats are trying mightily to convince citizens Conservatives and Evangelicals find Romney's religion a problem. Once again here's some journalistic malpractice. It's them, the Left that has the problem. The Left has a problem with religion in the first place, so have no problem attacking a particular church or religion with the exception of Islam; being Islamophobic they are afraid to criticize.

"Bloomberg Businessweek"  has a cover story mocking Mormons. Of course one would not see such a thing mocking Muslims. Since Leftists can't run on their record of failed banks, high unemployment, a shockingly high fatality rate of soldiers in Afghanistan since Obama took office, a $trillion a year increase in debt, increasing unemployment and homelessness, they have to attack Romney for his wealth and religion, and attack his wife.

Author of the cover story  Caroline Winter describing the church: "...sprawling church-owned corporate empire that the Mormon leadership says is helping spread its message, increasing economic self-reliance, and building the Kingdom of God on earth.” Not a surprising take by an anti-capitalist Leftist. This is a twofer. They can attack the financial success of both Romney and his church at the same time. She even gets an wealth zinger in about the Catholic Church too. No religious bigotry here, nothing to see, move on.

Putting Republicans' religious beliefs front and center is A-okay! Remember their mockery of Bush saying his best adviser is Jesus Christ? During the Republican debates the Re-elect Obama Press made each of the candidates' religion an issue. Especially Santorum; what a nut he was. Of course Obama's attendance for twenty years at the anti-Christian racist church of Jeremiah Wright was, and is, still off limits.

Alleged film maker Spike Lee (most of his films are racist duds):  "I got faith that they won’t. Honestly, though, the big question is, I think there will be a block of people saying, 'I cannot vote for a Mormon'.  When asked about his support of Obama: I support him; my wife and I gave a benefit for him at our house. But I think this election is going to be close. Bottom line, there are many people in America who look at themselves and say, “Am I better now than I was before?” It is going to be tooth and nail, and I think it is going to get nasty. But, in my opinion, if they are trying to bring up Reverend Jeremiah Wright again, they are really reaching. I hope and pray that people are not going to go for the Willie Horton okeydoke."

Willie Horton? For those not around at the time, Horton was a murdering felon, and Gov. Dukakis had an open door policy, weekend furloughs for murderers and rapists and such. It became a campaign issue when George Bush I brought it up as a policy issue during his campaign. The Dems and their propaganda division the Jurassic Press excoriated Bush for bringing it up, but didn't say anything about the policy itself; Bush was a racist for bringing it up [yes, even then]. Horton committed rape and murder on one of his furloughs. I remember Gore or somebody, a Dem anyway, bringing it up before Bush ever did. That was not reported.

Spike Lee, a racist demanding an end to race discrimination has no problem lying about Mormons and a nonexistent issue citizens have with them. No poll shows a significant number of Conservatives or Evangelicals not voting for Romney because of his religion. Looks like he's for racial tolerance and respect, but not religious.

One last note on Mormonism. They are the only group in America to have an extermination order against them. Not even Blacks suffered that.

Dead Soldiers, Failed Banks. More Not Reported by Reported by Re-elect Obama Press

Here's a couple more things the Re-elect Obama Press has neglected to tell us, or keep us updated on. Remember how we got nearly daily casualty reports from Afghanistan when GW Bush was in office? Heard anything much about the deaths of US soldiers since Obama took office? Anything from the anti-war movement?

Under the current Commander in Chief, we have seen 69% of the fatalities in the Afghanistan war. We're looking at the past 39 months of a ten year war. (This is a stat I found from May 2012.) I had stated in a post early about Obama's administration that we needed to get out of there. Not because of any anti war sentiment, but because Obama, like Clinton, loathes the military, had no experience or knowledge of military matters, and was going to get people killed. He has. You won't find this reported in the Re-elect Obama Press.

A second item not being reported is bank failures. One would think this a pretty big story. There have been 484 bank failures since 2000. 428 of them have taken place since failed United States' CEO Barack Obama took office.

Have you seen any reports on the homeless lately? Seems with the economy in the tank, massive unemployment, and companies going out of business, it would be skyrocketing. I hear crickets.

Previous post about the Re-elect Obama Press oversights and journalistic malpractice here.

Not Brought To You By The Re-Elect Obama Press

There were some major stories this week the Re-elect Obama Press neglected to cover. The biggest one not reported by what they tout as their biggest news programs, or news oriented programs, "Good Morning America", "Today" and "CBS This Morning" did not report the House vote to repeal of ObamaCare, and the Democrat's refusing to bring it to a vote in the Senate. On "World News Tonight" and the  CBS Evening News", alleged journalists Diane Sawyer and Scott Pelly, respectively, whined about how horrible it was. Back when I learned journalism, a distinction was made between news and views. Straight up reporting by the pretend pseudo "journalists" would to be just saying, this was the vote, this is how it broke down, who voted yea or nay and why, and what Congressmen and Senators had to say. Period.

What is important to these knuckleheads so far this week is them running with the Democrat talking points that Romney is evil because he's rich, and because he doesn't release his tax returns from the dawn of forever, and why does he have overseas investments, and have money in overseas banks, yada yada yada. What they didn't report is DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz has investments in Swiss Banks,  including Julius Baer Group Ltd. and the State Bank of India GDR Ltd. This is from her disclosure forms required by law for politicians. Here's a few more; Fidelity Advisor Overseas Fund, British HSBC Bank, Rakuten (a Japanese shipping business), Hengdeli Holdings (a Hong Kong watch company), Richemont Cie Financiere (a Swiss luxury goods company), Novo Nordisk (a Danish drug company), Volkswagen (German auto company), to name a few. She's demanded Romney release all his financial information for all his adult life, yet refuses to release her own.

The first female ex-Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, demands the same. She's invested heavily in an investment firm specializing in Asia investments, ”Matthews International Capital Management LLC". She's made somewhere between one and five $million. It's hard to say because she refuses to release her financial information like she's demanding of Romney.

The re-elect Obama Press has not reported these investments. Real journalists would report what is being said about Romney and his finances, and balance it with this known info, or lack of it, by his Democrat accusers. He's rich, so it must be dirty and illegal. Well, the alleged journalists are Democrats, so don't color us surprised.

There's no such thing as "insourcing"; alleged journalists and their minders in the Democrat Party made it up. That Romney and Bain sent whatever amount of jobs overseas is just not provable. No one can name specifically what companies sent how many jobs to what country and how many people. Obama with tax payer money, the "stimulus package"  and other Obama policies created jobs or sent money to Finland, New Zealand, Indonesia, India, Mexico, Germany, Australia, Switzerland, China, Denmark, South Korea, the Dominican Republic, Thailand, Vietnam, Italy, Russia, Luxembourg, El Salvador, Great Britain, Spain, Japan, and France. Obama calls this "insourcing". Certainly changes the meaning of the word.

At the end of Romney's speech to the NAACP he got a standing O. Not reported.

Just a couple things not reported in the Re-elect Obama Press this week.

The stimulus and other Obama policies created jobs or sent money to Finland, New Zealand, Indonesia, India, Mexico, Germany, Australia, Switzerland, China, Denmark, South Korea, the Dominican Republic, Thailand, Vietnam, Italy, Russia, Luxembourg, El Salvador, Great Britain, Spain, Japan, and France. Obama calls this "insourcing".

A Good Reason To Keep Bringing the Good News

How many people keep with the religion they were raised with? It looks like Hindu, Jews and Muslims retain the most. The great breakdown in the middle splits Protestants up and the rest are together. Both Greek Orthodox and Catholic are Catholic, so it's a distinction without a distinction. Catholics and Protestants are all Christian, so it would be interesting to see this chart with all that combined. What cheers me though is look at the bottom. Atheists. Not so good about keeping those faithful.

It's true we are spiritual beings in physical bodies. God created us, and Atheists can deny it all day long, but we all yearn for Him. Deny Him and He gets replaced by someone or something else. False religions, false prophets, drugs, things, government, all false idols. It's no wonder that people attending church regularly, in every survey for years, rate themselves happier than those that reject religion and God.

Our natural state is to believe in, and yearn for God. Atheists have to be worked on hard, and as we can see, it doesn't stick.

It's also motivation to keep spreading the Good News. Let's lower those percentages for the other religions, and definitely get Atheists down to a couple percent. Off to the side of this blog are people that need to hear about Jesus, and we can start by praying for them. It changes daily. You can go to the website and get it emailed to you daily.

By the way, what unifies us as Christians is we share One Lord, One Body (the Church), One Purpose, One Father, One Spirit, One Hope, One Faith, One Baptism and One Love, the same salvation, the same life and the same future. (From The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren)

Cardinal Dolan on the Obama Administration's Attempts to Further Divide the Catholic Church

http://youtu.be/kDEsTHCFFVs

"Coriolanus" Known Shakespeare Play, Superb Modern Film Presentation. Surprised.

I usually avert myself from Shakespeare presented in modern times. Happily, I stumbled on this one,  "Coriolanus”. It's the story of Caius Marcius Coriolanus, a war hero returned to Rome. Asked to become Consul, he assents, but has no love for the people. He refuses to lie about his near contempt for them. His political opposition turn the people against him, and he's banished from Rome. He joins with his enemy to sack Rome in revenge.

I was scrolling through some movies, and saw this one, starring Gerard Butler and Ralph Fiennes, directed by Fiennes, and decided to give it a try. I knew this was based on the Shakespeare play, and was surprised to hear them actually speaking Shakespearean English. Love the language. Here's part of the opening scene, Marcius addressing a mob dissatisfied with the state of things. Some of what Marcius says I thought could have been directed at the "Occupy" crowd now. What makes Shakespeare timeless is his understanding and expression of humanity. [Trailer below]

 MARCIUS (General Coriolanus)
Thanks. What's the matter, you dissentious rogues,
That, rubbing the poor itch of your opinion,
Make yourselves scabs?
First Citizen
We have ever your good word.
MARCIUS
He that will give good words to thee will flatter
Beneath abhorring. What would you have, you curs,
That like nor peace nor war? the one affrights you,
The other makes you proud. He that trusts to you,
Where he should find you lions, finds you hares;
Where foxes, geese: you are no surer, no,
Than is the coal of fire upon the ice,
Or hailstone in the sun. Your virtue is
To make him worthy whose offence subdues him
And curse that justice did it.
Who deserves greatness
Deserves your hate; and your affections are
A sick man's appetite, who desires most that
Which would increase his evil. He that depends
Upon your favours swims with fins of lead
And hews down oaks with rushes. Hang ye! Trust Ye?
With every minute you do change a mind,
And call him noble that was now your hate,
Him vile that was your garland. What's the matter,
That in these several places of the city
You cry against the noble senate, who,
Under the gods, keep you in awe, which else
Would feed on one another? What's their seeking?
MENENIUS
For corn at their own rates; whereof, they say,
The city is well stored.
MARCIUS
Hang 'em! They say!
They'll sit by the fire, and presume to know
What's done i' the Capitol; who's like to rise,
Who thrives and who declines; side factions
and give out
Conjectural marriages; making parties strong
And feebling such as stand not in their liking
Below their cobbled shoes. They say there's
grain enough!
Would the nobility lay aside their ruth,
And let me use my sword, I'll make a quarry
With thousands of these quarter'd slaves, as high
As I could pick my lance.
MENENIUS
Nay, these are almost thoroughly persuaded;
For though abundantly they lack discretion,
Yet are they passing cowardly. But, I beseech you,
What says the other troop?
MARCIUS
They are dissolved: hang 'em!
They said they were an-hungry; sigh'd forth proverbs,
That hunger broke stone walls, that dogs must eat,
That meat was made for mouths, that the gods sent not
Corn for the rich men only: with these shreds
They vented their complainings; which being answer'd,
And a petition granted them, a strange one--
To break the heart of generosity,
And make bold power look pale--they threw their caps
As they would hang them on the horns o' the moon,
Shouting their emulation.

This is a great find, and I highly recommend it. Stream or get the DVD. If you like Shakespeare, language, a good story with a timeless theme, this will satisfy.

Religion of the State vs Religion of God

Alleged journalist and Leftist political hack, and anti Christian bigot Chris Matthews, said when the Catholic Church sued against the health care mandate to provide contraception, sterilization and abortion against religious belief and tradition, asked "Do you think they’re all Republican, the bishops?" Matthews himself is a Catholic, or claims to be, and definitely a Democrat. A 2011 Pew study showed 48% of Catholics are Democrats as opposed to 43% Republican.

Leftists\Democrats, are myopically political, so even see religion as politically motivated. They're incapable of knowing, or even seeing it's the other way around. Religious people put God first, in everything we think, say, and do. What we get then are Democrats that claim to be Catholic supporting abortion and gay marriage, even advocating for it. Nancy Pelosi, asked by  Christopher Goins of CNSNews.com,“Many of the people that are opposed to gay marriage cite their religion as the reason why they're opposed. You're a Catholic that supports gay marriage. Do you believe that religion and the idea that you can support gay marriage can be separated? And how do you grapple with the idea that you support gay marriage as a Catholic?” Her answer:  "My religion has, compels me--and I love it for it--to be against discrimination of any kind in our country, and I consider this a form of discrimination. I think it’s unconstitutional on top of that. "  That despite the very clear teaching and position of the Catholic Church to the contrary. Plus her dismissal several times of the Constitution and not being bound by it.

Back to the point of the politics informing Faith, Matthews has said: "I think there are people who have chosen to convert to the Catholic faith because they don't like the liberal positions taken by their sectarian groups. That's a fact. So, you can write that down. No, you can write that down."  Huh? People join the Church because of political reasons? Certainly makes my point. I wonder too why he doesn't quit the Catholic Church since it's against everything he's for. What studies is he referencing?

There have been several Democrats that have held office, claiming to be Catholic, yet passing legislation for abortion, sterilization and contraception against the teachings of the Church they claim to belong to. Plus use taxes to pay for these against the will of citizens that object to these practices.  The rationalization for it is they don't want to enforce their beliefs on others, but they will force obedience to the healthcare mandates,  claim separation of church and state is in the Constitution (it's not), and claim the Establishment Clause is to protect citizens from religion (it doesn't).  I'm sure we can all come up with long lists of things the government forces we citizens to do that are against our beliefs.

If these politicians were true practitioners of their religion, when campaigning would say they cannot vote for certain things because it's against their faith belief, then follow though in practice if elected. Truly religious people put God first, and He informs how we act. Politics trumps religion for Leftists\Democrats, and if a politician put his\her politics before religion, God, and the Church they should quit the Church, and state their religion is the State. If they don't they're immersing themselves in hypocrisy and should stop throwing stones at people that proclaim Faith and make errors in judgment and behavior at odds with their usual behavior and beliefs.

Dire $traits for the Obama Campaign

We're happy to see the Obama campaign both desperate and not getting much money from donations.  Plus his lies and hypocrisy have reached such a level even some in the Re-elect Obama Press have been forced to report it.

It was reported early in the campaign his fundraising was reaching or reached, hard to tell with sloppy reporting, a billion dollars. Turns out Obama is falling way short, despite having about 160 fundraisers, more than all previous five presidents combined. It looks like doing only that and playing golf while the country falls apart around him isn't getting the job done and even non-political citizens are noticing. Here's a reminder from his 2008 campaign. He agreed to use only public financing campaign money running against McCain, but reneged when he saw way more money coming in than he expected. He also accepted illegal foreign donations, which were returned as far as we can tell. He's at it again on his donation website. By turning off the Address Verification System (AVS) anyone can donate. For those not aware, the AVS is the three digit number on the back of your credit card. A couple people donated, as a test, as Adolf Hitler and John Galt, Ayn Rand's protagonist in Atlas Shrugged. The donations were accepted. The same tests were run on Romney's site, and the donations were rejected. The address for John Galt was 1957 Ayn Rand Lane, Galts Gulch, CO 99999, and Hitler's info was Name – Adolph Hitler... Address – 123 Nuremburg Way, Berlin, Germany... Occupation – Dictator... Employer – Nazi Party.

He also said the presidential seal shouldn't be used, this is in 2008, by the sitting president while campaigning. Guess who's using the presidential seal while campaigning this year.

This guy has asked his supporters, instead of giving birthday and wedding gifts to loved ones, give that money to his campaign. Really and truly.

He's already complaining he's going to be outspent by Romney, which when he loses he'll say is the reason. When that happens, the Re-elect Obama Press will need to be reminded he outspent McCain hugely in 2008. Obama raised $779 million.  McCain, raised only $347 million. During his primary against Hillary Clinton Obama raised $237 million, while she raised $229 million. Things are only "fair" if they break his way. Not that he passed legislation with 20 new taxes, legislation more than half the citizens were against, has had the highest unemployment rate of any president for the longest time since FDR, and has attacked freedom of religion and the right to bear arms incessantly. The list is long of things he's done that citizens don't agree with.

Something else that freaked the Dems out, is after the horrid Supreme Court Decision making ObamaCare constitutional, within days Romney's campaign saw $100 million dollars donated.  Small donations from 47,000 donors generated $4 million in just 24 hours.

We must keep donating to Romney, and most importantly vote. Numbers matter. Obama is doing so badly, assuredly a lot of Dems will stay home. When McCain ran, as an indicator, a lot of Republicans stayed home. Let's hope the same principle applies here.

The Strange, Touching Case of Elgin Staples, His Lifebelt, and His Medals

A Chula Vista, CA, real estate agent, was antiquing in Solana Beach, a bit north of San Diego. Her company specializes in helping servicemen and veterans. Linda Ring bought a couple boxes with some military medals, from WWII and Vietnam, both with purple hearts, knowing this didn't belong there, in an antique shop.

They had set up a booth at this year's county fair in Del Mar, and were displaying the medals, and someone recognized them. They belonged to Elgin Staples. Staples was a Signalman on the USS Astoria in WWII.

Here's his story.

The Vietnam medals belonged to his eldest son, who died in Vietnam, age 19.

The second son, Allen Staples, will be flown from Northern California by Linda Ring, to be given the boxes.

Story here.

Democrats\Obama Error Thinking They Can Pit Religious Denominations Against Each Other

Much has been made by the Left, and its propaganda division, the Re-elect Obama Press, about how divisive Romney's Mormonism is among religious people, especially evangelicals. I've always been curious about that term, since Jesus made it clear we are all to evangelize His Testament. I suppose to their narrow, intolerant, uniformed bigoted minds, and evangelical is any person with traditional values and believes Jesus Christ is who He said He is and that makes them right wing extremists.

Very much of how the Left\Democrats and Obama operate is to divide and pit one group against another; Black vs White, Rich vs Poor, Hispanic vs White, Illegals vs Citizens/ legal immigrants, and whatever else they can come up with, Secular vs Religious. They take a very wrong turn thinking they can pit religious denomination against religious denomination. In the religious community, because of God as the centerpiece, an attack on one is an attack on all.

Even an attack on Mormons is seen as an attack on religion, and cannot be tolerated. When Obama attacked the Catholic Church demanding they jettison a couple thousand years of belief and tradition and provide abortion, contraception and sterilization, all Christians perceived this as an attack on freedom of religion. Of course the Left, as it does, denies it's doing what's wrong when caught. Rev. Rick Warren: “I’m not a Catholic but I stand in 100 percent solidarity with my brothers and sisters to practice their belief against government pressure.” ... “I’d go to jail rather than cave in to a government mandate that violates what God commands us to do. Would you? Acts 5:29.” ["But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: "We ought to obey God rather than men"]

In their letter of protest, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops: “We are already joined by our brothers and sisters of all faiths and many others of good will in this important effort to regain our religious freedom.”

There's been lots of religious persecution in this country by government officials. In 17th century New York (then New Amsterdam) government officials tried banning Jewish immigration; couldn't do that so banned synagogues. Ulysses S Grant issued General Order 111,  to expel all Jews from Kentucky, Tennessee and Mississippi. Lincoln overruled the order. Mormon Reed Smoot was appointed Senator to the new state of Utah, and they refused to swear him in; he eventually was. New York banned Mormon missionaries of the time. The main reason Mormons moved as a group was because in the East, it was open season to kill them. Governor Lilburn Boggs in 1838 issued an order that Mormons “must be exterminated or driven from the state if necessary for the public peace.” That wasn't lifted until 1976.

Secularists, Democrats, Leftists, don't get the unity of the religious. They only understand unity when various groups of people they've divided up decide to become subservient to them, the State. That there are people, like in Acts 5:29, that are subservient to God, not men when the occasion warrants, is incomprehensible to them.

Religious people take the 1st Amendment very seriously, even if Leftists and Our Dear Leader don't. By their continual attacks on the religious, they are creating a huge voting block against themselves.

Religion of Peace Attacks Christians in Dearborn

This takes place in Dearborn, MI. Islamists  throwing rocks, garbage, eggs and urine, but the police say the Christians are the cause of the disgusting illegal riotous behavior. This is what happens when laws are selectively enforced. From the top down, Our Dear Leader and his sycophants have made it quite clear they're anti Christian and pro Islam. One of the results. Well worth the 20 to see how it ends.

Note, the Christians did not retaliate. Brought to you by the religion of peace.

On the Incline of Slopes on Miniature Golf Courses

Bet you didn't know miniature horses are guide animals. In addition to the oppressive ObamaTax aka ObamaCare that controls every aspect of our lives, there's some new regulations, through the “Revised ADA Standards for Accessible Design" of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). There was initially a big kerfuffle about allowing wheelchair\disabled access to swimming pools at hotels. It was so cost prohibitive and time consuming to change accesses, that thousands of hotels would have had to close their pools, so the Justice Department granted an extension.

Another part of this misbegotten law, and I'm beginning to think all new laws are misbegotten, in addition to revamping to allow horses and swimming pool access to folks that probably don't swim all the much, is the incline of miniature golf slopes. Truly.  Fifty percent of miniature golf holes must be accessible by providing a ground space “48 inches minimum by 60 inches minimum with slopes not steeper than 1:48 at the start of play.” Huh?

Want more? There has to be "turning space" in saunas. Gun\firing ranges must allow for turning space and all variety of positions a disabled person may need. Golf courses must ensure “an accessible route to connect all accessible elements within the boundary must also “connect golf car rental areas, bag drop areas, teeing grounds, putting greens, and weather shelters". How many wheelchair bound people with service animals are playing golf? Gyms with workout equipment must be modified so at least one of each machine is wheelchair accessible. Rides at amusement parks have to have at least one seat each be wheelchair accessible.

The knuckleheads at Justice see this as a civil rights issue. What? That certainly diminishes the importance of true civil rights issues.

I'm sad that people have to suffer so with their disabilities. It breaks my heart. Driving up costs for millions of people and thousands of businesses for a few that probably never use such facilities, is just stupid.

On the Repeal of ObamaCare aka ObamaTax

Sen. John Barrasso (R-Wyoming), also a doctor, on the reasons why ObamaTax must be repealed.

Obama Working To Raise Military Healthcare Costs

We know Our Dear Leader is against nearly all American institutions. His healthcare bill goes after the Catholic Church. His refusal to enforce the federal law, "Defense of Marriage Act" (he swore to uphold the laws of the United States, not) goes for the destruction of the traditional nuclear family, and now he's gone after the citizens serving in the military.

He's threatened to veto the defense appropriations bill because it doesn't raise health care costs on servicemen and women. The military healthcare system is call "TRICARE", and Our Dear Leader wants to raise fees, to the tune of $billions. By raising those costs on the backs of citizens protecting this country, it'll help his cuts in defense spending. He's trying to get $500 billion cut from Defense.

TRICARE Fees and Co-Payments.  The Administration is disappointed that the Congress did not incorporate the requested TRICARE fee initiatives into either the appropriation or authorization legislation.  The Administration asks the House to reconsider the TRICARE fee proposals, which are essential for DOD to successfully address rising personnel costs.  The $1.8 billion in savings are part of a carefully balanced FY 2013 Budget request. [This is basically a statement of how Our Dear Leader wants to gut the military.]

Anti Christian, anti family, anti military. With his ObamaTax, anti freedom.

ObamaCare to ObamaTax

From ObamaCare to ObamaTax. Here are the taxes being imposed by the Democrat's healthcare law. Only Democrats passed this, and the American people have been against it since the start; polls show at least 57% against as of this posting. The lowest has been 51% against. Some polls show as high as 67%. There's a lot in the law that has absolutely nothing to do with health or medicine. There's twenty or twenty one new taxes, some listed below. Full article here.

Health and Human Services (HHS)  taxes (this is already in effect) charitable hospitals $50,000 if they don't meet new "community health assessment needs," "financial assistance," and "billing and collection" rules. Don't know the number, but my bet is most charitable hospitals are Christian institutions, and we know Obama is an anti-Christian bigot. Obama is against charity; remember one of the first things he did was reduce deductions for charitable giving.

There's a tax increase of $4.5 billion for a specific type of bio fuel. This has what do to with health care?

This was one of the first to be noticed by the public: a 10% tax on tanning bed usage.

If you have a flex account through work to purchase medical stuff, that's off the table now. You can only use it for the purchase of prescription meds, not over the counter except for insulin. For cryin' out loud, prescription meds you get through your health insurance.

Your employer starting this year will be reporting your insurance on the W2. How long before that's used to tax your health benefits? Right now those are pre tax. This is the set up to take that away.

There's a 3.8% surtax on investments. What's this have to do with health insurance?
"Other unearned income includes (for surtax purposes) gross income from interest, annuities, royalties, net rents, and passive income in partnerships and Subchapter-S corporations.  It does not include municipal bond interest or life insurance proceeds, since those do not add to gross income.  It does not include active trade or business income, fair market value sales of ownership in pass-through entities, or distributions from retirement plans.  The 3.8% surtax does not apply to non-resident aliens."

Medical devices will be taxed. Need a wheelchair or prosthetic device? Taxed.

Have a special needs child? Before there was an open ended flexible spending account for them. Now it's capped. It was unlimited.

Then, most famously, the mandate. If you decide not to participate in ObamaTax, you'll pay a penalty, er, tax, on something you don't use. Same for employers, but for them it may be cheaper to pay the tax than carry employee insurance. Look to lose your private health insurance. The ultimate goal of ObamaTax is to force everyone onto a single payer system. Obama stated this several times, it's on vid, that he wanted this; he just stopped saying it when he started to campaign for president.

If you have a health plan with lots of bell and whistles, a "Cadillac" plan, there will be an 40% tax increase on that. Congress has a "Cadillac" plan. They are exempt. Of course, they are exempt from all of this.

This really really really must be repealed. It's the death knell of our constitutional republic if left in place. If the government can manage your health needs, and take even more of your money if you don't comply, you have no freedom.

In the early 1960's Reagan spoke against the very thing that's happening to us now. If you haven't heard this yet, please, listen up.

Senator Harry Reid Says Paying Income Tax Is Voluntary

The amazing stupidity of Harry "Dusty" Reid. This guy also thinks food stamps and unemployment checks is an economic gain for the GDP; as does Nancy Pelosi.
