May each of you have the heart to conceive, the understanding to direct, and the hand to execute works that will leave the world a little better for your having been here. -- Ronald Reagan

Religious Freedom

Though I'm not a Catholic, this vid expresses exactly what Christianity has brought to the world, often through the Catholic Church. Atheists and secularists did not bring us schools, hospitals and charities.

For bringing these good things that have benefited all mankind, Christians are persecuted to death in some places, to being verbally and politically attacked in others.

Here in the US we're told to keep our mouths shut and only speak of religious things in our churches and homes. We are told to keep our religion out of politics. We are told to keep our religion out of the culture. That's because Secularists want power unopposed.

Not going to happen here. I'll witness my Faith wherever I want, whenever I want. I'll bring God into the voting booth. Insult or lie about my religion and I'll go after you as hard as possible.

I know this comment may never actually make it to your blog. But I feel that in all fairness, Christianity also has brought us persecution, Witch Burnings, and their own Terrorist Organizations. Yes, there are Christian Terrorist Organizations. In fact, one of what the FBI lists as the Top Ten Most Active Terrorist Organizations in the World is a Baptist Terrorist Organization in India that has been known to bomb Hindu Orphanages. There is a flip side to every story.

Thanks for your comment. The only reason this blog blocks comments before publishing is because of spam and some that have a different viewpoint had posted profane and personally insulting comments. We're about the free, and respectful, exchange of ideas.
There are indeed some people over the past 2,000 years that claimed to be Christians that have done bad things. Is it fair though to judge the whole of Christianity based on those aberrations? Does the Catholic Church or any legitimate Protestant denomination currently support terrorism or witch burning? Witch burning and the inquisitions happened 200+ years ago. That's a pretty long time to go back to make a point about the current state of Christianity.
Would it be, using your parameters, fair to say Hitler, Mao, Stalin, or Pol Pot be judged fairly, on the flip side, that they did some good things?
I don't see any untruth stated in this vid; it's a clear statement of how billions of people over 2,000 years, have benefited from the teachings of the Christian Faith.
