May each of you have the heart to conceive, the understanding to direct, and the hand to execute works that will leave the world a little better for your having been here. -- Ronald Reagan

Not Brought To You By The Re-Elect Obama Press

There were some major stories this week the Re-elect Obama Press neglected to cover. The biggest one not reported by what they tout as their biggest news programs, or news oriented programs, "Good Morning America", "Today" and "CBS This Morning" did not report the House vote to repeal of ObamaCare, and the Democrat's refusing to bring it to a vote in the Senate. On "World News Tonight" and the  CBS Evening News", alleged journalists Diane Sawyer and Scott Pelly, respectively, whined about how horrible it was. Back when I learned journalism, a distinction was made between news and views. Straight up reporting by the pretend pseudo "journalists" would to be just saying, this was the vote, this is how it broke down, who voted yea or nay and why, and what Congressmen and Senators had to say. Period.

What is important to these knuckleheads so far this week is them running with the Democrat talking points that Romney is evil because he's rich, and because he doesn't release his tax returns from the dawn of forever, and why does he have overseas investments, and have money in overseas banks, yada yada yada. What they didn't report is DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz has investments in Swiss Banks,  including Julius Baer Group Ltd. and the State Bank of India GDR Ltd. This is from her disclosure forms required by law for politicians. Here's a few more; Fidelity Advisor Overseas Fund, British HSBC Bank, Rakuten (a Japanese shipping business), Hengdeli Holdings (a Hong Kong watch company), Richemont Cie Financiere (a Swiss luxury goods company), Novo Nordisk (a Danish drug company), Volkswagen (German auto company), to name a few. She's demanded Romney release all his financial information for all his adult life, yet refuses to release her own.

The first female ex-Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, demands the same. She's invested heavily in an investment firm specializing in Asia investments, ”Matthews International Capital Management LLC". She's made somewhere between one and five $million. It's hard to say because she refuses to release her financial information like she's demanding of Romney.

The re-elect Obama Press has not reported these investments. Real journalists would report what is being said about Romney and his finances, and balance it with this known info, or lack of it, by his Democrat accusers. He's rich, so it must be dirty and illegal. Well, the alleged journalists are Democrats, so don't color us surprised.

There's no such thing as "insourcing"; alleged journalists and their minders in the Democrat Party made it up. That Romney and Bain sent whatever amount of jobs overseas is just not provable. No one can name specifically what companies sent how many jobs to what country and how many people. Obama with tax payer money, the "stimulus package"  and other Obama policies created jobs or sent money to Finland, New Zealand, Indonesia, India, Mexico, Germany, Australia, Switzerland, China, Denmark, South Korea, the Dominican Republic, Thailand, Vietnam, Italy, Russia, Luxembourg, El Salvador, Great Britain, Spain, Japan, and France. Obama calls this "insourcing". Certainly changes the meaning of the word.

At the end of Romney's speech to the NAACP he got a standing O. Not reported.

Just a couple things not reported in the Re-elect Obama Press this week.

Alleged Journalist Contessa Brewer Gets Schooled by Mo Brooks

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=5mtQyEd-zS4

Mo Brooks (R-AL) has degrees in political science, economics, and law. Alleged journalist and far Left radical Contessa Brewer has a Bachelors in broadcast journalism. At one time interviewers asked questions to get the ideas and viewpoint of the interviewee and were not there to debate and interrogate. They would also know the background of the interviewee; done a little homework. Jurassic Press journalists are just plain lazy. She’s just plain ol’ rude too. Not surprising…Leftists lack in social graces. That’s why all the violent protests, insults and name calling; they can’t win using the rules of debate and argument.

The "JournoList" and the Suppression of News

I didn't find it puzzling that there was full out Media support for Obama during the campaign. There was no coverage in the Jurassic Press of his 20 year connection with anti-Christian racist America hater Jeremiah Wright, how he was mentored by communists, his association with domestic terrorist Bill Ayers and his terrorist wife, and all the rest of his sordid pro-Statist, racist past; understandably with good reason.

We on the Right have generally recognized and accepted, up to now, that Statism was their world view and we just needed to counter it. The "JournoList" shows that they plan and talk about subverting conservatives and Republicans, often in vicious and vile ways.

This was a private chat room, if you will, that has since been closed down. Of course they say it's not big deal, much ado about nothing. Not, of course, like the 'vast right wing conspiracy'. Need I say it? If Conservatives had a similar chat venue, it would lead every Jurassic Press (alleged) newscast for days.

Some quotes:
Sarah Spitz, a producer for National Public Radio, commenting what she would do if she saw Rush Limbaugh on the floor dying of a heart attack: “Laugh loudly like a maniac and watch his eyes bug out...” “I never knew I had this much hate in me.” But he deserves it.” She later issued an apology, saying it really wasn't her, she's not really that kind of person. Like Rush pointed out, 'then who was it?' Did somebody take over her body and force her to say those vile things?

Bloomberg’s Ryan Donmoyer at the beginning of the TEA Party movement, when they were showing up at town hall meetings: “You know, at the risk of violating Godwin’s law, is anyone starting to see parallels here between the teabaggers and their tactics and the rise of the Brownshirts?” “Esp. Now that it’s getting violent? Reminds me of the Beer Hall fracases of the 1920s.” Really? They were running through the streets destroying property and beating liberals? They were rounding people up and sending them to prisons?

Richard Yeselson, freelance liberal writer and researcher: “They want a deficit driven militarist/heterosexist/herrenvolk state. “This is core of the Bush/Cheney base transmorgrified into an even more explicitly racialized/anti-cosmopolitan constituency. Why? Um, because the president is a black guy named Barack Hussein Obama. But it’s all the same old nuts in the same old bins with some new labels: the gun nuts, the anti tax nuts, the religious nuts, the homophobes, the anti-feminists, the anti-abortion lunatics, the racist/confederate crackpots, the anti-immigration whackos (who feel Bush betrayed them) the pathological government haters (which subsumes some of the othercategories, like the gun nuts and the anti-tax nuts).”

We expect people like this to be reporters with a foundation of honesty and integrity?

A Blogger Lindsay Beyerstein: “I’m not saying these guys are capital F-fascists, but they don’t want limited government. Their desired end looks more like a corporate state than a rugged individualist paradise. The rank and file wants a state that will reach into the intimate of citizens when it comes to sex, reproductive freedom, censorship, and rampant incarceration in the name of law and order.” This guy talking about a conservative or Republican corporate state. Aren't the Dems the ones engaging in corporate cronyism pumping $billions into corporations and hiring their CEO's into cabinet positions or making them unaccountable czars?

Another blogger, Ed Kilgore, in response to noted military historian Victor Davis Hanson, to an article on immigration, not response to the subject itself, just: “...the kind of Old White Guy cultural reaction that is at the heart of the Tea Party Movement. It’s very close in spirit to the classic 1970s racist tome, The Camp of the Saints, where White Guys struggle to make up their minds whether to go out and murder brown people or just give up.”

Jonathan Zasloff, a law professor at UCLA, when they were doing their standard myopic rant on Fox News: “I hate to open this can of worms, “but is there any reason why the FCC couldn't’t simply pull their broadcasting permit once it expires?” Really? This guy is a law professor. Has he read the Constitution? Does he know about no abridgment of free speech? Freedom of the press? Does he know FNC does not broadcast, it's cable? Good grief.

The Jurassic Press is only for freedom of the press and free speech if what they put out is the only thing being put out, and the free speech is only for them and those that agree with them.

The original article from the "Daily Caller" here, and Fred Barnes take on it here. Fred Barnes was a topic of discussion on the JournoList.

This is also where they hatched the idea to call everyone that disagrees with the Statist agenda and Obama's plans to socialize America was hatched. It appears to be backfiring now. Spencer Ackerman of The Washington Independent: "If the right forces us all to either defend Wright or tear him down, no matter what we choose, we lose the game they've put upon us. Instead, take one of them—Fred Barnes, Karl Rove, who cares—and call them racists. . . . This makes them 'sputter' with rage, which in turn leads to overreaction and self-destruction."

Here's an article that links 106 of the 400 participants to various communist and socialist organizations. All these participants are "progressives". You won't find a Constitutionalist or conservative among them. A couple groups connected to these people are the Democratic Socialists of America and Institute for Policy Studies, which you won't find on this blog site in my "think tank" section because it's no more than a part of this administration's Ministry of Propaganda. This is a fascinating look at who is actually writing for the Jurassic Press and what their connections are. Of course George Soros is wrapped up with these guys. He's a foreigner that has made $billions crumbling the economies of nations, and is now here financing the overthrow of our Constitutional Republic. His Open Society website here.

This is the Jurassic Press. I'm happy to be, in my own small way, part of the new media.

Journalism, Daniel Schorr (RIP), Edward R Murrow

NPR Commentator of 25 years, Daniel Schorr died at the age of 93. He was the last of the crew to pass away that legendary journalist Edward R Murrow had hired. I certainly would have liked to hear what Murrow, a straight news reporter, would have had to say about Schorr, who turned from reporter to Leftist political hack and liar pretending to present the news.

His most egregious reportage happened during Goldwater's run for the presidency in 1964. Goldwater had mentioned during his campaign that he might take some vacation time in Germany. Here's what Schorr reported on the eve of the Republican Convention:
“It looks as though Senator Goldwater, if nominated, will be starting his campaign here in Bavaria, center of Germany's right wing” [also known as] “Hitler's one-time stomping ground.” “Thus, there are signs that the American and German right wings are joining up. Now back to you, Walter, and have a nice day!" Full article here.

He was pretty much disliked and tossed out by CBS, CNN, Eisenhower, Nixon of course (he was on the Nixon enemies list), and was under investigation by The House Ethics Committee for leaking government documents by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Leaking intelligence reports...he was just ahead of his time; NY Times does that now as a matter of policy.

After no one in private sector journalism would hire him, he landed a government job at NPR telling Leftist lies unopposed. I think NPR needs to hire a conservative commentator for the next 25 years to balance it out.

Full but biased obit here. (Mentions little of what a Leftist scoundrel he was.)

Now some words from a real journalist, Edward R Murrow:

"To be persuasive we must be believable; to be believable we must be credible; to be credible we must be truthful."

"We cannot defend freedom abroad by deserting it at home."

"We hardly need to be reminded that we are living in an age of confusion — a lot of us have traded in our beliefs for bitterness and cynicism or for a heavy package of despair, or even a quivering portion of hysteria. Opinions can be picked up cheap in the market place while such commodities as courage and fortitude and faith are in alarmingly short supply." ~ This I Believe (1951)

"We will not be driven by fear into an age of unreason, if we dig deep in our history and our doctrine, and remember that we are not descended from fearful men — not from men who feared to write, to speak, to associate and to defend causes that were, for the moment, unpopular." ~ See It Now (9 March 1954)

"It is not necessary to remind you that the fact that your voice is amplified to the degree where it reaches from one end of the country to the other does not confer upon you greater wisdom or understanding than you possessed when your voice reached only from one end of the bar to the other." ~ Speech to Radio and Television News Directors convention at Chicago (15 October 1958) (Current news readers should note this as they call any conservative or Republican a racist or 'teabagger', Jennings "America threw a temper tantrum" when his side lost an election, and all the rest of their hateful vile commentary that passes for news.

"Most truths are so naked that people feel sorry for them and cover them up, at least a little bit."

"Our history will be what we make it. And if there are any historians about fifty or a hundred years from now, and there should be preserved the kinescopes for one week of all three networks, they will there find recorded in black and white, or color, evidence of decadence, escapism and insulation from the realities of the world in which we live." ~ Speech to Radio and Television News Directors convention at Chicago (15 October 1958)

Murrow had the wisdom and insight Schorr lacked to be a good journalist. Schorr gave all that up for blind Statist ideology.
