Too Sad and Too Horrible

This saddens deeply. The Jurassic Press kept reporting the “peaceful” nature of the Egyptian protests and “revolution”. There were reports of a couple reporters getting knocked around a bit while they reported on this peaceful protest, but what didn’t get much attention is the horrid and terrible beating and gang rape of CBS foreign correspondent Lara Logan.

She’s currently hospitalized; was flown out of the country immediately, back to the US.

“On Friday, Feb. 11, the day Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak stepped down, CBS chief foreign correspondent Lara Logan was covering the jubilation in Tahrir Square for a "60 Minutes" story when she and her team and their security were surrounded by a dangerous element amidst the celebration. It was a mob of more than 200 people whipped into frenzy.
In the crush of the mob, she was separated from her crew. She was surrounded and suffered a brutal and sustained sexual assault and beating before being saved by a group of women and an estimated 20 Egyptian soldiers. She reconnected with the CBS team, returned to her hotel and returned to the United States on the first flight the next morning. She is currently in the hospital recovering.”
Really? They still gloss over this. "Jubilation" and "surrounded by a dangerous element? What?

We have to ask journalists, what level of risk is acceptable to get a story? Are they unable to see the difference between being brave or stupid? Especially in the Middle East where nearly all the people hate America (while taking $billions of our money), and especially a woman given their attitude toward women.

Have to ask the Left, Democrats, National Organization of [Liberal] Women, when will they quit being apologists for a 6th century culture and Islamofacist cult of hatred, slavery, genocide, abuse of women, murder and torture? I’ve seen not outrage about this. I’m outraged!

Outraged that an American is treated like this with no repercussions and most especially a woman who has this done to her, and nothing is said and nothing happens.

We pray for Ms Logan’s recovery of her wounds, and most especially her recovery of the emotional and spiritual wounds she’s suffered.

This is sad. This is horrible. I’m grieved.
