Allah, God, and the 'Religion of Peace'

Christian churches have been firebombed and Christians attacked in Malaysia because they use "Allah" when referring to and praising God.

Last Sunday, January 10, three Christian churches were bombed, several other churches and a convent school were defaced by Islamofascists. Islamists say only the followers of Mohammed can use "Allah". The problem is that Christians in the Holy Land were using the name, Allah, long before Mohammed and Islam came along.

Islam is doing what it has always done. It attacks and destroys what exists and builds on top of it. Al-Aqsa Mosque, "Dome of the Rock", was built on the top of the Jewish temple in Jerusalem. Hagia Sophia in 1453 was turned into a mosque when Sultan Mehmet the Conqueror captured Constantinople. Now it's a museum with a mosque inside. Christians are banished. Islamists are beginning to appear successful turning Europe into an Islamic State.

My Dog…

My dog sleeps about 20 hours a day.
He has his food prepared for him.
He can eat whenever he wants, 24/7/365.
His meals are provided at no cost to him.
He visits the Dr. once a year for his checkup, and again during the year if any medical needs arise.
For this, he pays nothing, and nothing is required of him. He lives in a nice neighborhood in a house that is much larger than he needs, but he is not required to do any upkeep.
If he makes a mess, someone else cleans it up.
He has his choice of luxurious places to sleep. He receives these accommodations absolutely free.
He is living like a king, and has absolutely no expenses whatsoever. All of his costs are picked up by others who go out and earn a living every day.
I was just thinking about all this, and suddenly it hit me like a brick in the head: Holy S##t!!!

This has become infamous over the weekend.

Republican Trent Lott was forced to resign his position for saying, at Strom Thurmond’s 100th birthday party that he would have made a good president. Thurmond apparently was a segregationist at the time he ran. Dusty Harry said at the time: ""If you tell ethnic jokes in the backroom, it's that much easier to say ethnic things publicly. I've always practiced how I play."

Part of the Statist Jurassic Press spin is that what Dusty said was that it was "backroom" and "private". Double down on the double standard.

Then of course Democrat Sen. Byrd got a pass using the "N" word on 60 Minutes a few years ago, and was some kind of grand pubah in the KKK.

Can you say double standard? Yet again? Good grief, even conservative George Will gave Dusty Harry a pass.

Dusty should be forced to resign his position, just like Lott was.

Also on the post racial watch list is the incredibly hateful low life bottom sucking scumbag Chris Matthews. This guy use to be a fairly decent reporter. I even subscribed to his email newsletter about ten plus years ago.

For the record, McCain (I shudder at the thought) is the head of the Republican Party. Limbagh is a private citizen and holds no office. Statists need to have real things in the real world pointed out to them on a regular basis.

Conversation and Behavior

The power of words. If we don't match our words with our actions, we find ourselves in great trouble; and not just with our critics who are quick to shout hypocrite.

Apostle Paul tells us in his letter to the Philippians that we must conduct ourselves in a way worthy of our Faith. "Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel."

In the Authorized Version that first line is, "Let your conversation be as it be becometh the gospel of Christ." The word from the Latin, 'conversari' is more than conversation. We think of conversation as talking. 'Conversari' means 'to conduct oneself'. The word that Paul used even goes beyond that. The word that he would usually use, 'peripatein', translates "to walk about". The word he uses is 'politeuesthai', meaning "to be a citizen". In his context, citizens of Rome had to behave in a prescribed way that was worthy of being a Roman citizen, no matter where you lived in the Roman empire. What he wants us to do then, as Christians, is to act in a way always befitting a citizen of the Kingdom of God.

If you proclaim yourself a Christian, you must in all ways, at all times, act and talk in a way that is in line with scripture. If people know you are of this Faith, you are being closely watched, by both fellow believers and critics.

Even in your personal life you must do this. In Mark, Jesus talks about a man leaving his home, and gives authority to his servants to mind the house. We can act correctly and do all the things necessary to keep the house in order, or let things slide, thinking that the master of the house will probably not return until a certain time and date, and not act properly until then. Jesus says, "Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming- in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning- lest, coming suddenly, he find you sleeping".

We must watch. Watch our own behavior, our own thoughts, and watch for Him.

Lesbian Moms, Custody, Values

This is going to be one messed up child, resulting from a messed up relationship, messed up legal system, caused by jettisoned traditional values. This is heart crushing.

Seven years ago the lesbian couple got married in Vermont, and divorced when the little girl was 17 months old. Lisa Miller was awarded custody of the child and is the bio mother through artificial insemination. The other "parent" is Janet Jenkins. Miller became hetero and a Christian.

A judge gave visitation rights to Jenkins, and Jenkins said Miller quit showing up with the child for parental visits. The judge gave parental rights to Jenkins for that, so Miller split with the child, went to another state and is hiding out from government officials. Just speculating here, but the judge sure seemed quick to try and push the hetero-Christian out of the picture.

Jenkins won't take the kid to church, saying churches teach hatred and bigotry. People full of hatred and bigotry that don't go to church often say things like that. Everyone is welcome in church. Everyone. Are there churches that fall short of the ideal? Yes. Are there churches that fulfill the ideal? Yes.

So now mother and child are on the run. The child is being used by parents to meet their own ends.

Homosexual activist Cathy Renna: "Families are incredibly diverse and come in all shapes and sizes." "You'd be hard-pressed to find a family that fit the June and Ward Cleaver model. Families are created in different ways and the law needs to understand and address that."

The reason we have this mess is that the purpose of the family is to raise children that the parents created. Secularists and Statists have successfully tossed that out, so they can make the inane statement Renna made. The government, through judicial rulings, have forced this on the citizens. Not one state where homosexual marriage is legal was passed through the legislature and reflects the will of the people. The foundation of civilization is the family. Another rule especially in this country is rule of the people by the people, not judges. Secularists and Statists are certainly happy to see those crumble for their own selfish reasons.

If anti-religious people, homosexuals, Statists, secularists or whatever, want to hook up, get legal civil unions...do whatever; but leave the traditional family alone. It's not a zero sum game. The destruction of the traditional family will negatively effect even those that wish its destruction.

What a mess. Pray for the child.

Views on the Economy

Regarding the economy, the Statist idea of taking massive amounts of money from a few people, pocketing a lot of it, and giving the rest to constituents, as the basis of national fiscal management doesn't work, has never worked, and never will if the desired result is the most amount of wealth and productivity for the most amount of people.

Another analogy is a man with a bucket at a swimming pool. He's dipping the bucket in the deep end, walking to the shallow end and pouring the contents there, thinking he'll make the shallow end deeper.

Character of the New Man- Some Thoughts Entering the New Year

Looking to the coming year I don't see good things coming. I'm mostly an optimist and know things in the end of conflict will mostly end up okay. Right now though I see economic disaster because we have an anti-business president and political party in power. Those same people are dismissive of Judaic-Christian principles and values, and that does huge damage to the culture. With that in mind, I'll still have to fight them. I love my Faith, and I love Liberty, and both are threatened. I've moved a long way from where I was in my 20's and 30's when my line was, 'you're born, you suffer, you die'. Now I'm a religious man, and belief in God and Savior informs what I do. Apostle Paul wrote:

"Because you are God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with heartfelt mercy, with kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. Bear with one another; forgive whatever grievances you have against one another. Forgive as the Lord has forgiven you. Over all these virtues put on love, which binds the rest together and makes them perfect. Christ’s peace must reign in your hearts, since as members of the one body you have been called to that peace. Dedicate yourselves to thankfulness. Let the word of Christ, rich as it is, dwell in you. In wisdom made perfect, instruct and admonish one another. Sing gratefully to God from your hearts in psalms, hymns, and inspired songs." Colossians 3:12

As a society we've put these values to rest. I see no mercy and kindness, just incessant attacks by the State and it's supporters in politics and the Jurassic press. Rush Limbaugh goes to the hospital and those people cheer and hope he dies. Sarah Palin, a mother that has stayed married and raised a family with her husband, has loving parents, got involved in her community and effected good change, is hated and vilified in the most vile ways. What kind of culture is it that promotes the suffering of others?

I don't want to chronicle all the ills our country is suffering. All I can do is know and practice the best I can the values Paul says we as Christians must live, expressed from our hearts. We can only influence the small circle around us...be the stone in the small calm pond that sends out ripples. The waters are turbulent now, so we must use bigger stones of kindness, meekness, humility and patience. That's very tough, because the people in power now, politics and press and popular culture see those as weakness and gives them the right to force their ideology of command and control on the rest of us.

I pray for myself that I can, this coming year, be meek (I'll need to write about what that means later, it's not what most people think it is), kind, patient, with love in my heart. It's hard, especially now, because Christians are under assault, as are people that want the freedom to make their own life choices without the intervention of the State.

This year for me, more Bible study, lots and lots of praise, lots and lots of worship, lots and lots of singing praises, and sharing as much Love as I can, and express Thankfulness.

Limbaugh Taken to Hospital-Leftist Response

There were many on the Left that cheered when Tony Snow, Journalist, Father and Husband was diagnosed with Cancer, and cheered again when he died.

There are many on the Left that cheer when Dick Cheny, Politician, Businessman, Diplomat, Father and Husband, has a heart attack.

Most of the Left are pleased when someone not a Statist suffers, yet justify taking other people's money (OPM) and other people's Liberty in the name of Love and Compassion.

It seems Love and Compassion are other people's too. Even after Limbaugh asked for forgiveness for his prescription drug addiction, and took himself off the air for a couple months for rehab, when I listen to Leftist talk shows, whenever his name comes up, it's universally "drug addict Rush Limbaugh". How many years have gone by? The Love and Compassion from the Left is where?
