A Giant Wave of Waivers

The first woman ex-Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, famously said about the passage of ObamaCare, they “had to pass it to see what’s in it”.

As of today the Obama administration has granted 1,040 waivers. When government controls things, as proven in any communist country, services are provided to the politically connected. At its worst in this case, the government will decide based on political actuarial tables, who will get life saving care or not.

The way it’s starting out is that the big donators to the Obama campaign, especially the Unions, and most especially SEIU, is being given waivers. SEIU spent $27 million on Barack Obama’s presidential campaign. SEIU Local 25 is in Obama’s hometown.

Plus 26 states are suing to opt out, plus two federal judges have ruled the legislation unconstitutional; this horrible plan is crumbling under its own weight.

Here’s the list from the HHS website of companies and unions given waivers. Lots of them are unions that donated to Obama. A lot, if not most, of the “stimulus” money didn’t go to the private sector or small businesses, but went blue states to pay union government employees, who pay dues to the unions (collected, deducted from paychecks by the various governments) and sent back to Obama’s campaign coffers. I think that not only should the union thugs not be given waivers, but every Democrat in Congress that voted for this monstrosity be required to use it and give up their fat corruptocrat healthcare program.

Judicial Watch has filed suit against the Administration’s Department of Health and Human Services for records about the decision to grant waivers.

These are some of the unions that Obama has given a pass to, all of them contributors to his campaign.
