Oooops! Wrong guy! Obama stated this bold lie again. Today he said: “Oil production at its highest level in 7 years. Oil production from federal waters in Gulf at an all time high.” Facts are sooooo stubborn. When the oil rig exploded there were 55 rigs drilling in the Gulf. Now there are 25 rigs. Those 25 rigs are producing as much as 55 rigs? Really. The moratorium Obama and Salazar have clamped down on the oil companies has been ruled illegal by the Courts, yet Obama moves ahead ignoring the law. The Energy Department's own reports state there's been a decline in production, plus projects a decline of 250,000 barrels a day. Not only has Obama stopped production in the Gulf, he's refused to grant any new permits.
Of course he's rattling on about tapping the Federal Oil Reserve. Yeah, that'll make the Saudis and Venezuelan Dictator Chavez happy; the US will be totally dependent on imports from them.
