Three Immigration Stories
Hamas. Terror. Murder. Hate. Islamofacism. Antisemitism. The founder of Hamas, Hassan Yousef, has a son named Mosab Hassan Yousef, who has written a memoir, "Son of Hamas". Horrified by the death and murder of innocents, he turned against Hamas and his father. He became a spy for the Israelis because he wanted to save lives. Apparently his information has saved a lot of lives. That being done, he's converted to Christianity and has moved to the US. Being here he's provided even more information to the Dept of Homeland Security. Having done that, he's asked for political asylum. DHS is being really slow responding and it's not certain that this brave immigrant will be given his wish.
Keeping that story in mind, brave immigrant trying to do things legally, this story involves Massachusetts state representative Mike Moran. Moran is a supporter of illegal immigration and open borders. He supports sanctuary states (Mass is one) and cities. My view is that anyone that supports this idea does not support the rule of law. Moran was at a stoplight and was rear-ended by a drunk illegal immigrant doing 60. He had no license and his alcohol level was three times the legal limit. The drunk criminal that almost killed someone said that there's nothing anyone could do to him. He laughed about it. The almost equally reprehensible Moran: "I have been and will continue to be pro-immigrant and in some cases even pro-illegal-immigrant. It would be politically expedient for me at this point in time to change that. That should...tell you that even after being hit by one I will continue to advocate for immigrants and their rights as citizens in this country." Aren't officials sworn into office sworn to uphold the law? When did people here illegally get the rights of citizens? Or even why may be a better question.
Arizona Gov Jan Brewer is asking for the resignation of the State Attorney General, and if she doesn't get it, will begin legal proceedings to have him removed from office. The guy has spoken against the bill passed by the state legislature, and has lied about it contents. He's the chief law officer of the state. He too is sworn to uphold the law. From the letter asking for the resignation:
Color me crazy, but I really do think the rule of law is a good thing, and that protecting brave people obeying the law is a good thing; that ignoring laws and giving a pass to criminals is a bad thing.

I respectfully request that you step aside so my legal team can set forth the best defense possible in the immigration lawsuits currently before the federal district court. If you do not withdraw your motion to intervene in Friendly House, I will pursue all legal remedies available to me to have you removed as counsel for the State of Arizona to ensure the State a true and proper defense. We Don't Need To Enforce No Stinkin' Laws Unless We Feel Like It
Mission statement from the ICE website: "U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Formed in 2003 as part of the federal government's response to the 9/11 attacks, ICE's mission is to protect the security of the American people and homeland by vigilantly enforcing the nation's immigration and customs laws."
Today, John Morton, assistant secretary of homeland security for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said: "I don't think the Arizona law, or laws like it, are the solution." He said that the law is "not good government".
This guy is the top cop, the honcho law enforcement officer, saying he's not going to carry out the mission of ICE or enforce immigration law. Reminder: the Arizona immigration law, SB 1070, only mirrors Federal immigration laws that have existed since the 1940's.
Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-AL: "If he feels he cannot enforce the law, he shouldn't have the job." "That makes him, in my view, not fulfilling the responsibilities of his office." Exactly.
We should hardly be surprised that a member of pro-illegal immigration, pro open border, pro amnesty Democrat party, is not going enforce the law. After all, this guy's boss, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, said there's no problem in Arizona, everything is hunky dory. Earlier blog here about the problems Arizona is having (kidnapping, murder, rape, drugs, etc. on a massive destructive scale) and Napolitano's severe mental condition of denial or flat out lying.
Here's another thing about what Obama, Napalitano, an undersecretary of state (can't remember his name right now), US Attorney General Eric Holder, the last three admitting they have not read SB 1070 (a whole 16 pages long!), saying state cops will be running around, racial profiling, locking people up, and doing whatever else these knuckleheads think cops do. Like cops are a bunch of racists that have nothing better to do than harass non-white people. That's a pretty demeaning representation of officers of the law.
These Statists do not believe in the rule of law, they believe in the rule of man, but only if they are the ones in charge. So of course this Morton character can refuse to enforce the law, and get a pass by Dems and their lap dinosaurs in the Jurassic Press.

I Don't Need to Read No Stinkin' Law
Our Attorney General, Eric Holder, the guy that let go Black Panther thugs that stood outside a voting venue and threatened white voters away, but prosecuted three Navy Seals for doing their job and capturing a really really bad guy, has been all over the Arizona immigration bill, criticizing it with all the racial BS Statists do when they don't have an argument.
Obama, who has criticized the Arizona immigration bill (has he read it, has anybody asked "The One" if he's read it?), has tasked Holder to find stuff in it to attack the State of Arizona and its good citizens.
Holder has had some things to say about the legislation. On "Meet the Press": [The Arizona law] "has the possibility of leading to racial profiling." He has said repeatedly the law was "unfortunate". Holder thinks too that the law may be unconstitutional because local law enforcement would be enforcing Federal law. How did this knucklehead get to be AG? Local law officers enforce Federal law all the time. 'So how come you let that murderer/rapist go local officer?' 'Federal crime, I ain't touchin' it.' Federal crimes include burglary, arson, rape, robbery or kidnapping, with a lot of caveats because we're talking about lawyers and politicians creating these laws.
Texas Rep. Ted Poe asked Holder in a hearing: "It's hard for me to understand how you would have concerns about something being unconstitutional if you haven't even read the law."
Holder: "I've just expressed concerns on the basis of what I've heard about the law. But I'm not in a position to say at this point, not having read the law, not having had the chance to interact with people are doing the review, exactly what my position is."
We are living with a political system where legislators don't read bills they pass. Gentle reminder: Pelosi's famous 'we'll have to pass the [health care] bill to find out what's in it', and Holder threatening to prosecute a State regarding legislation he hasn't read, in addition to his public attacks based only on Jurassic Press reports and other lap dogs of the Dems.

Arizona and Personal Protection

It's clear that the Federal Government, whether dominated by Republicans or Democrats, has no interest in doing what is required by the Constitution, and that is protecting its citizens, and securing the borders.
Here's some of what goes on in Arizona that drove their citizens on to having to pass SB 1070 to protect themselves. The bill adds nothing that is not already Federal Law, it just says its going to enforce already existing law. The Leftist Liars (but I repeat myself) say its a bunch of new racist laws, and local authorities shouldn't be enforcing Federal Law. Say what? Things like kidnapping, murder, rape and the like should only be enforced, and the bad guys arrested, by Federal agents?
Those crimes just mentioned is exactly what the citizens of Arizona have been putting up with for years, and the Federal Government has refused to do anything except to blow hot air. (I've lived in that great state, and believe me, it's hot enough already.) On average three Border Patrol agents per day are assaulted. Phoenix is the kidnap capital of the country. On average every 35 hours, or about three people a day are kidnapped. How safe would you feel? One in five Arizona teenagers are doing drugs smuggled in from Mexico. Would you want your child exposed to this?
Justice Department's own threat assessment: “Assaults against U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) agents increased 46 percent from 752 incidents in FY2006 to 1,097 incidents in FY 2008.” 1,097 assaults, on Federal Law Enforcement Officers, in a year! If these illegal aliens (AKA undocumented Democrats) are that brazen with law enforcement, how safe would you feel? Citizens are afraid to move about their own cities, but the Federal government, the Democrat Party, and the Jurassic Press, all see the undocumented Democrats as victims of racism; not the citizens as victims of violence, murder, drug running, gun running, human trafficking, and other nasty things.
We have Drug Trafficking Organizations (DTO's) based in Arizona, spreading throughout the US. It's done though gangs, and according to the Justice Department's assessment, “In 2009, midlevel and retail drug distribution in the United States was dominated by more than 900,000 criminally active gang members representing approximately 20,000 street gangs in more than 2,500 cities.”
Yet, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, the same knucklehead that said the system worked with the "panty bomber' fiasco, said, “I say this again as someone who has walked that border.” “I’ve ridden that border. I’ve flown it. I’ve driven it. I know that border I think as well as anyone, and I will tell you it is as secure now as it has ever been.” ummmmmm, don't think so Janet.....
Yet Statists have been calling for a boycott of Arizona because the citizens there were forced to do something to protect themselves. (My favorite is boycotting Arizona Tea, a NY product.) If you think protecting yourself from criminals by enforcing the law is a crime, feel free to join in. There's an alternative, support Arizona at Arizona Tourism and Travel. I lived a decade in Arizona, and it's a beautiful marvelous place to visit (and live, obviously). There's a Facebook page too, Arizona Buycott, if you want to counter the ill-founded boycott against a US citizens trying to protect themselves from the horrors of murder and mayhem.
