Bozos On The Bus

Firesign Theater was the hottest comedy troupe/act in the early 1970's. Odd, psychedelic, weird, offbeat, creative and amazing. One of the founders, Peter Bergman has passed, and I was reminded of how great their work was. I had mentioned to a friend one of their scenes just a few days ago. The main bar we hung out at in college was called Bozo's Bus Stop from their album "I Think We're All Bozos On This Bus". My favorite character by them was Nick Danger, Third Eye.

Some of their other albums included "Waiting for the Electrician Or Someone Like Him," "Don't Crush That Dwarf, Hand Me the Pliers," "How Can You Be in Two Places At Once When You're Not Anywhere At All".

Bergman was born in 1939, attended Yale and had a degree in economics, got in a lot of trouble there for his antics on the campus radio station, and parlayed that into a career.
