Centuries Old Monastery In Turkey Declared "Occupier" and Lands Confiscated

St. Gabriel Monastery
There's a monastery, St Gabriel, in Turkey, an anti-Christian, pro-Islamist nation, that has had it land confiscated; it's only been there since about 350 years after Jesus. At least this time the Islamists didn't go in and just murder the Christians, which is their usual modus operandi. Another example of the persecution of Christians.

In the State takeover of the monastery's land, the monastery was named an "occupier". It's only been there for a few centuries.

Time to Boot Turkey Out of NATO

Yea!!! Winning Pic, Proud Moment!
Remember last May when Turkish “Peace Activists” got a boat and tried to run a blockade the Israelis had on Gaza? The reason for the blockade was to keep weapons and stuff out. When the Israelis boarded the “peace” boat, it turned out there were murderous Islamofacist terrorists with weapons that attacked and tortured the Israeli soldiers. Nine passengers were killed when the Israeli’s had to defend themselves from the terrorist’s attack.

Now a picture of one of the soldiers of the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) being tortured has won the Turkey's 2010 Photo of the Year Award in the News category, presented by the Turkish photojournalism association. The picture was chosen from over 1600 entries. At the presentation were the parliament speaker, many members of the Turkish parliament and the deputy prime minister.

It’s clear Turkey has become an Islamofacist State. It should be voted out of NATO. This is just the last of their activities of growing oppression, imprisonment, torture and murder of infidels.

Plus they are not backing NATO's activities in Libya.

Counter Flotilla

Ya gotta love this! There's a group of Israeli students that are sending a flotilla of aid back to Turkey with humanitarian aid for the brutalized and oppressed Kurds and Armenians living in the late great country of Turkey.

Let's see how the Turks handle this. Turkey is turning away from it Western, liberty, capital, NATO orientation, to Islamofascism.

A ship has yet to be designated but has a Captain.

Chairman of the National Students Union Boaz Torporovsky:
"Turkey, which leads the campaign against Israel and makes all sorts of threats is the same Turkey that carried out a holocaust and murdered an entire nation of Armenians, and oppresses a minority larger than the Palestinians – the Kurds – who deserve a state, who have demanded a state for longer than the State of Israel has existed."

"For this reason," he continued, "we have decided to help that minority and show up the hypocrisy of the Turkish government. We are sure that they won't care if we sent humanitarian aid. It'll be a peace flotilla without the knives or stones that hurt IDF soldiers, without violence, which is intended for all those oppressed by the Turkish government.

"If (Prime Minister Recep Tayyip) Erdogan's heart is where his mouth is, which we all know isn't so, he has no reason to prevent the flotilla from arriving."

Even if it doesn't come to fruition, I love the idea.

Torporovsky: "For the flotilla to work, we need three elements: Money, logistics and balls," he said. "We're bringing the balls and some of the logistics, but we need lots of money."

Turkey Lore Test

"My fellow Americans: Over 350 years ago, a small band of Pilgrims, after gathering in their first harvest at Plymouth Colony, invited their friends and neighbors, who were Indians, to join them in a feast of thanksgiving. Together they sat around their bountiful table and bowed their heads in gratitude to the Lord for all that He had bestowed upon them. This week, so many years later, we, too, will gather with family and friends and, after saying grace, carve up a turkey, pass around the cranberries and dressing, and later share slices of pumpkin pie. We Americans have so much for which to be thankful. ... We will give thanks for these and one thing more: our freedom. Yes, in America, freedom seems like the air around us: It's there; it's sweet, though we rarely give it a thought. Yet as the air fills our lungs, freedom fills our souls. It gives breath to our laughter and joy. It gives voice to our songs. It gives us strength as we race for our dreams. ... Yes, as we gather together this Thanksgiving to ask the Lord's blessings, as we of whatever faith we are give praises to His name, let us thank Him for our peace, prosperity, and freedom. Happy Thanksgiving!" --Ronald Reagan

"It's not just Americans and Iraqis and Afghans who owe a debt of thanks to the U.S. soldier but all the Europeans grown plump and prosperous in a globalized economy guaranteed by the most benign hegemon in history. That said, Thanksgiving isn't about the big geopolitical picture, but about the blessings closer to home. Last week, the state of Oklahoma celebrated its centennial, accompanied by rousing performances of Rodgers and Hammerstein's eponymous anthem: 'We know we belong to the land/And the land we belong to is grand!' Which isn't a bad theme song for the first Thanksgiving, either. Three hundred and eighty-six years ago, the Pilgrims thanked God because there was a place for them in this land, and it was indeed grand. The land is grander today, and that, too, is remarkable: France has lurched from Second Empires to Fifth Republics struggling to devise a lasting constitutional settlement for the same smallish chunk of real estate, but the principles that united a baker's dozen of East Coast colonies were resilient enough to expand across a continent and halfway around the globe to Hawaii. Americans should, as always, be thankful this Thanksgiving, but they should also understand just how rare in human history their blessings are." --columnist Mark Steyn
