Say What? Dali Lama is a Marxist

This one gets an oooops and an ummmmm. The Dali Lama attended a conference in Minneapolis a few days ago, and said   “as far as socio-political beliefs are concerned, I consider myself a Marxist.” Then he added, “But not a Leninist.”

Someone asked him to reconcile the contradiction between what should be their views of religion. Here’s the astonishing response: "Marx was not against religion or religious philosophy per se but against religious institutions that were allied, during Marx’s time, with the European ruling class. He also provided an interesting anecdote about his experience with Mao. He said that Mao had felt that the Dalai Lama’s mind was very logical, implying that Buddhist education and training help sharpens the mind. He said he met with Mao several times, and that once, during a meeting in Beijing, the Chinese leader called him in and announced: “Your mind is scientific!”—an assessment that was followed by the famous line,”religion is poison.”

Communists led by Mao destroyed his country, slaughtered his people, crushed the practice of Buddhism, and he’s okay with it apparently.

Here, by the way is what Marx said about religion: Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, and the soul of soulless conditions. It is the opium of the people.

Looks like the Dali Lama is yet another useful idiot.

Obama Bowing to Dictator Hu Jintao

Remember too ex-White House Communications Director Anita Dunn said Mao Tse Tung was one of her favorite political philosophers. The guy that slaughtered over 65 million people, imprisoned millions more, visited the "cultural revolution" on the people, destroyed Tibet and its culture, had "re-education camps", and slave labor.

Does it make you wonder where this guy's head is at?

NEA, Obama and Statist Art

Stalin did it. Mao did it. It was done in Communist East Germany. Hussein did it. The little demented pot belly dictator of N Korea is doing it. Could you imagine what would have happened if GW did it? What is it? It is using artists, writers, actors and such to push Obama's Statist agenda. In August our Dear Leader had a conference call with the National Endowment for the Arts and the White House Office of Public Engagement (WTF?) and United We Serve (Obama's campaign troops under a new name, that continues the campaign after the election, kind of like the Ministry of Propaganda), was, according to a film producer, Patrick Courrielche, for the purpose of exploring "how the Arts can be used for a positive change".

There are American artists, writers, actors willing to put their respective crafts in the service of the State? That reminds you of what? This conference call was to enlist the artistic community into Obama's Ministry of Propaganda. Aren't artists to reflect the human spirit, create beauty, express freedom and the like?

Of course the followers of our Dear Leader deny this:

Yeah, she wants to serve the poor, just not do it personally. I'm mean really, the great un-washed and all.

YOSI SERGANT: "Whether it’s health care, education, the environment, you know… My ask would be to apply artistic, you know, your artistic creative communities’ utilities and bring them to the table." My ask? Say what?

gaaarg...what is said, and what is said is said in this administration...Don't they know that everything is recorded? Then they deny it was said. Say what? To think that the creative community could have so bowed down to the messiah, the One who will lower the oceans and lower the planet's temperature, will give up artistic integrity to serve the State, give up freedom and liberty. Do they really think that if they embrace this, do they realize that same State will eventually allow them to only create what the State says, then what?

Hot Dogs for Thugs

Despite the thugs running Iran murdering their own citizens and imprisoning them, the Obama State Department is still having them over for hot dogs to celebrate freedom on the 4th of July.

State Department spokesman Ian Kelly: “There’s no thought to rescinding the invitations to Iranian diplomats,”
“We have made a strategic decision to engage on a number of fronts with Iran.” “We tried many years of isolation, and we’re pursuing a different path now.”

Gee, ya think now they'll stop murdering and imprisoning, and building nukes to wipe out Israel? Just be nice to evil and it'll be nice to you. Can you say 'Chamberlain'?

Same with North Korea. Talk show host Roger Hedgecock had an interesting point. He asked a caller, when did North Korea get so belligerent? Hedgecock's take is that it's been since the Pueblo incident. A US ship was captured and the US did nothing about it. The ship, by the way, is a now museum for showing US imperialism. Up until then, North Korea was quiet because they knew not to challenge the US or there would be grave consequences. They tested us with the Pueblo incident, showed we were a paper tiger, and have been nothing but trouble since.

Evil cannot be appeased. They want absolute power to destroy humanity. Period. They only understand force. That's how they see the world.

Being nice to Hitler got us what? Being nice to Stalin got us what? Being nice to Mao got us what? Now we're being nice to the mad mullahs, and getting what? We're being nice to Kim Jong Il and getting what?
