No Compromise

It's only when there's bipartisanship that Republicans get grief. Afghanistan was bipartisan, TARP was bipartisan, Iraq was bipartisan, "No Child Left Behind" education act was bipartisan, to name the biggies. Then the Republicans get blamed, no Dems mentioned, when things go south.

It's absolutely crucial that Obama's reach across the aisle to "compromise" on reducing the "Bush Tax Cuts" be rejected. These guys really believe that $200,000 a year is a lot of money. After all the fees and taxes from all the Federal, State and local governments are taken, plus all the sales taxes, more than half is gone. That Leftist mantra of "how are we going to pay for it", referring to all the government expenditures, needs to be re-languaged. The question should be, how can any citizen afford to pay for it (having even higher taxes, more reduced income)?

When I was born the income tax rate was 2% so we could pay down the war (WWII) debt. It has gone up ever since then, with a couple breaks along the way. Obama and the Dems, still not backing down on tax increases, keep saying they only want to raise taxes on those making over $200,000 a year. Remember when Obama said he was going to cut taxes for 95% of Americans, and has kinda claimed he did? Well why don't we increase those taxes? You know, the Obama Tax Cuts. He and the Dems still don't get that they were soundly beaten in the last elections partially because the citizens are saying enough to the tax increases already.

Here's a compromise. Only Democrats making over $200,000 a year get their taxes increased if they believe in high taxes so much. I think too the marginal tax rate of 90% that was in place before JFK cut them should be levied against George Soros, Bill Gates and all other Democrats at that level of wealth. The Dems tried to target tax increases to certain businesses and people, but even the Leftist Judaical branch rejected it as unconstitutional. Out of fairness, they should voluntarily give 90% of their wealth to the government. It would be a big help, they'd still be multi millionaires, and they would have a chance to walk the talk, contribute, and be moral and caring too.

Wealthy Dems, Amerika needs you. Give it up...

Seriously, here's the compromise. All the "Bush Tax Cuts" will be permanent, and you Dems get to figure out how to compromise on reducing expenditures. Say no to Obama. Republicans need to take a page from the Dems. "You lost, we do it our way."
