The Anti Christian Bigotry of PBS

PBS has a ban on any religious programming. Back in the summer of 2009 they tried to ban all religious programming but decided to keep already existing programs. Article here. Since this is public broadcasting, and about 80% of the American public considers itself Christian, don't you think if some local affiliates want to have religious programming, they should? It is public and paid for by the public.

Below are some quotes by a character Tavis Smiley, a PBS "star", though why, I can't even begin to guess (other than being a Statist, racist, anti Christian bigot). I've only read vile and stupid things uttered by him. Below are quotes from an interview with Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a courageous ex-Muslim, living under threats of assassination by members of the "religion of peace" for apostasy. Tavis keeps not only comparing, but insisting, that Christians are more dangerous, and more violent, than Islamists.

Smiley: “You say unapologetically and rather frankly that your mission here is to inform the West about the danger of Islam” “What danger do we need to be made aware of?” ummmmmm, Twin Towers? Daniel Pearl? US Embassies? Pentagon? Pan Am flight 103? Achille Lauro? Just stretching my imagination a bit here.

Ali brought up the Fort Hood Massacre by an Islamist. Smiley: “But Christians do that every single day in this country.”

“There are so many more examples of Christians -- and I happen to be a Christian. That's back to this notion of your idealizing Christianity in my mind, to my read. There are so many more examples, Ayaan, of Christians who do that than you could ever give me examples of Muslims who have done that inside this country, where you live and work."

“There are folk in the Tea Party, for example, every day who are being recently arrested for making threats against elected officials, for calling people ‘nigger’ as they walk into Capitol Hill, for spitting on people.” Dozens of cameras were recording this event, and not one person saw it, or caught it on camera. The liar Congressman, Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, that made the accusation, had to retract it. Brietbart offered a $10,000 dollar reward to any who could produce a video of this happening. Nothing.

I've written previously of these stupid lying, intolerant acts of bigotry here and here.

PBS must be defunded. It only propagates intolerance, bigotry, lies, and an unadulterated Statist, anti Traditionalist world view. Tavis Smiley should be kicked off the air at the very least, since PBS is here to stay. Sadly. On your dime.
