Thoughts and Observations of the Past Year, Macro Big Picture and Personally Looking Forward

Some observations about the past year. Understanding that this day is an arbitrary mark in time, it is nice to have a traditional place to stop, review, take stock, and think about what we need to accomplish in the next twelvemonth. Looking back on the past year, it was not good, macro or micro [my personal world].

I’ve put my personal life observations/experiences at the end. I think much more important are the things at the national and international level causing pain and destruction to millions of lives, which to me is pretty much the meme of the past year.

At the macro level, we must start with our President, whose personal agenda has replaced the traditional role of the office. He has been and is a force of destruction socially, politically and economically.  The first year Obama took office the Bush deficit was about $840 Billion which Obama said was irresponsible and unpatriotic. The national debt as of this past Dec was $18 Trillion. That is up $7.4 Trillion since Obama took office. Six years and a little over a $Trillion a year added.

When Obama and his political party lost the midterm elections in a landslide, from local to state to federal offices and legislatures, he response was, “To everyone who voted, I want you to know that I hear you. To the two-thirds of voters who chose not to participate in the process yesterday, I hear you too.”  We see stupid. That those who didn’t vote, he assumes they would have voted for him and his Party’s failed policies and totalitarian mindset. Some numbers on that election. Republicans gained nine seats in the Senate, and picked up seats in the House they already controlled. That House thing is the largest majority since 1946. [BTW, that was a repudiation of the Democrats and FDR then. Not put in history books is the FDR and Dems were seriously disliked by more than half the country then; this country was as divided as much as it is now. One of the best-selling books then was a repudiation and revealing of what really went on during the FDR years; all the hypocrisy, lying, corruption and illegality.  The Roosevelt Myth by John T Flynn.] Republicans will hold 31 of 50 governorships, and hold both house and senate in 24 states. Republicans are not so much liked or trusted either, but there ya go. Says much about Obama and the Democrat party and how they are perceived.

Epic failures. ObamaCare became the law of the land in October 2013. A billion dollar website crashed and no one could use it. It's still rotten.

The Veterans Administration falsified data that caused extreme suffering for some vets and their families and killed other vets through negligence.

Word went out to countries south of the border that the border was open to children. Tens of thousands of unchaperoned kids flooded the border causing a humanitarian crises. Hundreds of the “kids” were gang members. I remember reading at the time leaked memos that this invasion was planned by the Administration months in advance.

The IRS targeted conservative groups to silence any effective campaigns for the 2012 elections. There were emails that proved this, that were “lost” but recently found. A lying corrupt federal Leftist “judge” recently ruled there was no law broken and there was no foul play since the targeted groups were eventually granted their tax requests, and the investigations that stopped their activity have been ended, and the emails were found. Even though the emails proved illegal activity, they are to be ignored by court order. I guess now getting away with breaking the law is okay according to Leftists as long at not caught at the time.

A major health threat to this country was created when Obama and his Departments of Health, and Homeland Security, allowed people into the country with the deadly disease, Ebola. Some of those refused to be guaranteed citing their civil rights were being violated by being asked to remove themselves from the general population. Put hundreds if not thousands at risk of probable death for personal feelings and comfort. The Obama and his administration changed rules all over the place to cover up their incompetence.

Obama and his political party claimed Al Qaeda on the run, the war in the Middle East over, war on terror pretty much done. Syria had used chemical weapons, Obama said this was unacceptable, and drew a “red line”. He erased it when it came time to take action on it. He pulled troops out of the Middle East against the advice of his generals, leaving a vacuum that is filled by ISIS, now slaughtering thousands, and conquering land. The murder of Christians by them is pretty much ignored by Obama; his disdain for them is only exceeded by his disdain of Jews.

Putin re-lit the Cold War by taking over Crimea and threatened to conquer Ukraine. Obama did not come out and support either country, offer weapons or military tactics/training.  Putin uses oil and gas energy as a political weapon, both of which we have an abundance of and could have sent to undermine Putin and cool Russia's heals.

Obama has aggressively attacked Israel and Prime Minister Netanyahu personally. Two senior administration officials (names not given to the reporter for the Atlantic) called Netanyahu a “chickenshit”. If anyone has any knowledge of the man, that’s one thing he’s not. Obama has tried to block, or spoken out against everything Israel has done to protect itself from terrorist countries and organizations. Obama and the Dems support in word and deed ($’s) Hamas, Iran, ISIS, PLO, and initially the dictator of Syria that slaughtered thousands.

This is nothing less that the anti-Semitism of Obama and the Democrat Party. (Remember at the Democrat convention they removed God and support of Israel from the Party Platform until political backlash force them to put those back in.) That Party and Leftist anti-Semitism is fueling the reemergence of it here in the US, and it's getting more and more prevalent especially on college campuses. This is supportive of the dangerously increasing anti-Semitism in Europe, where Synagogues are being burnt down and Jews are being attacked and murdered. Coming soon to a town near you?

Economically about 92 million people are out of work. Not reported in the administration’s labor statistics because they are no longer counted since their unemployment ran out. People on Food Stamps are highest that any time in the history of the program. Bush 2 was excoriated in the Jurassic Press when unemployment got over 5%.  Now the “official” unemployment rate is 6% or 7%, and since the “new norm” at the beginning of Obama’s reign was 10%, this is now a good thing. Actual unemployment is between 13% and 17%. Hard to tell since Labor Statistics are controlled by the White House. I noticed that the month and weeks before the presidential and midterm elections, the unemployment rate dropped a couple percent and after those elections the Bureau of Labor statistics revised them back up.

Racism, along with anti-Semitism is hugely on the rise. Whenever a Black man confronts the police and gets killed for his efforts there are riots. Racist Attorney General and his racist boss gin up the Black population to hate whites especially before elections as a get out the vote tactic. The Leftist New York Post found this out during the Ferguson riots. An accidental act of journalism. Still ignored are the hundreds of Black on Black murders, or Black on White murders, or the murder of police by Blacks.

I’ve gone on enough about this, thinking the point made. This has been a terrible year for this country, and the head of the fish that stinks is Obama and the Democrat Party. Anything done to protect America’s borders stopped, anything to decrease unemployment stopped, to produce lower cost energy stopped (anti fracking, anti-oil exploration, stopped Keystone pipeline, drove away offshore drilling) [there’s a vid of him before his run for president that he wanted to drive up the cost of energy, it was necessary].

Yet I keep going on about the macro stuff. It’s endless the badness that’s happened in the past year. I don’t see it improving much in this new year even with Republicans winning such a landslide election. They badmouth, push to the margins Conservatives, the base, campaign against them harder than they do against the Democrats. They are both incompetent and proving themselves they earn and keep earning the moniker ‘the party of stupid’.

Now the personal. I know I have friends that read my postings, and I thank you for your interest and support. At the micro level, my personal life, I have much less to say. Work is okay, with the usual corporate hassles, but it does provide, and I am able provide service through them, to customer service agents and the customers of UPS. With that I missed a lot of work due to illness, more of an affliction, vertigo. I’m amazed how many amateur doctors and healers there are with advice how to deal with it, get rid of it. Specialists, my GP and neurologist unable to do anything but help me maintain, but many still have better health advice.

I had stopped attending my church for a while. Got caught up in church politics, was personally attacked and was shown less than appreciation for my contributions. There’s enough aggravation in life, I don’t need it where I worship. After a couple/three months breather, I went back and the love shown let me know this is the right place for corporate worship. I had given a sermon on worship, and the theme was the unbroken connection between corporate and personal worship.  That was born out with my noting my diminished prayer time and study of faith and religion. Worship, corporate and personal, is the centerpiece of my life, and informs how I live.  {If interested, my last sermon, "Road to Emmaus" can be seen at fcclv.com>Webcast>and scroll down to sermons 6 months ago.}

Looking back at this year, which has been seriously ungood; the goals are to get back to reading and studying more, writing more, praying more. I’ve read less this year, and watched more vids. Mostly due to it really being hard to read when the vertigo and other illnesses I have make the Kindle move around, and/or nausea make the concentration necessary for reading, or writing, pretty much impossible. The books and movies I’ve read and seen are on the right of this blog. Noticeably fewer than years past, just as there are way fewer posts to this blog than years past. I don’t list the vids I watch, but the most entertaining for me this year were the series “Justified” (my fav) and “Longmire” and “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives”.  Lots of British produced mysteries with great stories and acting.

I pray all a healthy happy holy coming year. We pray God to start working to remove, through each of us, all the bigotry, hatred, lies, deceit and violence that has marked this past year, and for us personally to stay in a worshipful spirit and state of mind to effect in a loving and positive way, those around us. It all starts with each of us, and our communion with God. He must be what informs every aspect of our lives.

Let's Play What if a Republican!

It’s astonishing nearly half the country still supports this president. Nixon was run out of office by both Republicans and Democrats for covering up the Watergate break in, and no one really knows what that was all about. Gerald Ford was given grief for pardoning Nixon, but it turns out it was the right thing to do, for the reasons he gave. GW Bush got Congressional approval for everything he did; TARP, both Middle East wars, the tax cuts, weapons sales to foreign countries, raising the debt ceiling, sending terrorists to foreign counties for interrogation, and whatever else. Democrats and other Leftists can call him a criminal for whatever, but the plain fact is, he never violated or ignored the Constitution. Listening to all the charges thrown at Republican presidents, all the accusations of criminality versus this president’s actions in violation of the Constitution he was sworn to uphold, one must wonder.

Wonder what if a Republican actually did what this president has done?

The “Dream Act” was rejected by Congress. This past week he stated he was ignoring that, and granted amnesty to about a million Mexicans in this country illegally. It was directed at young Mexicans living here, and was a part of the “Dream Act”. What if a Republican president decided to ignore a vote of Congress and sign an executive order claiming it was now law?

The “Defense of Marriage Act” is a Federal Law. Obama directed his Justice Department to not enforce it. What if a Republican president made a pronouncement that even though he had sworn to uphold the laws of the United States, he would not enforce a specific law?

Since he’s taken office, unemployment went from 5.4% to over 8%. After stating it would never rise to 8%, he now says it’s the new norm, get used to it. (Actual unemployed is closer to 17%; people no longer looking for work, or can no longer draw unemployment are not counted.) What if a Republican more than doubled unemployment on his watch, and told everybody to get used to it?

A business moves operations to another state to reduce manufacturing costs. This president sues them to stop the move, because it's a right to work state; unions don’t have coercion power there. That’s his biggest money and power source. What if a Republican sued a company so they couldn’t move because his biggest donors don’t like it?

This president has refused to enforce immigration law. His latest action granting a million Mexicans here illegally amnesty, shows his contempt for Congress and the separation of powers, which are clearly stated in the Constitution. A border state decides to enforce the law. This president, with a foreign country, joined in a law suit against the state. What if a Republican refused to enforce a law and a state decided to, and he sued the state (with a foreign country)?

Another state he's suing, Florida, is because they are purging dead people and illegals from the voting registers. What if a Republican sued a state for making voting fair and legal?

This president’s law enforcement agencies sold guns to Mexican gun cartels, hundreds of Mexicans and a US Border Patrol agent are murdered by those guns. Then Congress subpoenas the Attorney General of the US, who stonewalls for two years, and is caught in lie after lie. He refuses to produce documents requested by Congress. What if a Republican broke the law, got people murdered, lied about, and stonewalled Congress for two years?

This president in the dead of night, on a holiday, passed his health care legislation, with no votes from the opposition party and over the objection of more than half the citizens of the country. His lead congressman says they’ll have to pass it to see what’s in it. What if Republicans passed legislation most people didn’t want, that nobody has read, and most don't know all of what's in it, in the dead of night on a holiday, and the opposition party did not vote for at all?

Through that health care legislation, he's tried to force the Catholic Church specifically, and Christian generally, to renounce tradition, dogma, doctrine and belief (contraception, sterilization and abortion) and force them to obey the government under penalty of law. What if a Republican tried and force an organization to reject their beliefs to obey the government?

This president has shut down offshore drilling, and doesn’t have the Constitutional authority to do so. After the BP oil spill he waited 40 days before taking action. What if a Republican waited 40 days to act on any disaster? What if a Republican shut down a major sector of an industry, and could only do so by ignoring the Constitution?

Billions of dollars have been given to “green” companies that have been failing massively. Those $billions are taxpayer dollars, and a lot of that money found its way back into the campaign coffers of the president. Leftists can contend it’s not so, it just appears that way at worst. What if a Republican gifted $billions to his favorite companies and they failed, and mega money found its way back (or appeared to) to the Republican campaign?

A friendly country, Canada, will give us a massive petroleum infusion. It’ll create tens of thousands of jobs, substantially reduce energy costs for citizens, and reduce petroleum reliance on enemies of the United States. This president and his energy secretary have both said they want energy prices to go up (both on vid by the way). What if a Republican president said he wants to raise energy costs, stay reliant on enemy countries for oil, and didn’t want to employ people?

In three years this president has racked up more debt than all previous presidents combined, all the while blaming it on his predecessor. What if a Republican was voted in saying he would cut the deficit in half and tripled it instead, and blames his failure on his predecessor?

He’s ordered drones to fly over farmers and ranchers to enforce environmental “laws”. What if a Republican ordered drones to fly and spy on citizens without due process?

There are lots more examples of the double standard, of this president literally getting away with murder, of violating the Constitution and the rule of law.

Back to what astounds me. The slightest perceived transgression by a Republican, even when he follows the law, obeys the separation of powers, obeys the Constitution, Democrats, Leftists, and others against the tenants of  a constitutional republic, see more of a threat from someone obeying the law, than someone who ignores it. I posted a few vids of Democrats saying they aren’t bound by the Constitution, one of them Nancy Pelosi, who was Speaker of the House at the time.

Charles Krauthammer Comments on "President Zero"

“Obama Is President Zero – zero economic expansion, zero jobs, zero ideas on how to cure the economy.”

Flashback

http://youtu.be/ELcgS9gTKhU

Speaker Nancy Pelosi at the health summit: "It's about jobs. In it's life, it [the health bill] will create 4 million jobs -- 400,000 jobs almost immediately."

Unemployment today at 9.2%    If you a add underemployed and those no longer looking for work, it's about a 17% unemployment rate.

Joe Biden in April 2010: "All in all we're going to be creating somewhere between 100[,000] and 200,000 jobs next month, I predict," "Even some in the White House said, 'Hey, don't get ahead of yourself.' Well, I'm here to tell you, some time in the next couple of months, we're going to be creating between 250,000 jobs a month and 500,000 jobs a month."

9.2% and still waiting.

About raising the debt ceiling. Leftists all for it now. In 2004 it was a horrible thing.

ANDREA MITCHELL: But what is looking over his shoulder is history. He wants a legacy. He wants to be able to do something about Social Security. He knows he's got to do something about deficit reduction. That is the big embarrassment for Republicans. They ought to be ashamed of themselves, what the Hill Republicans have done. They've been worse than Democrats.
CHRIS MATTHEWS: They just increased the debt ceiling.
MITCHELL: Exactly.
Now the Republicans don't want to raise the debt limit, they're "terroists".

The Decline. The Geography of the Recession

Based on the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the is an interactive map of the rising unemployment rate since 2007. It's frightening. If you include not only those fully unemployed, but those forced to take part time work, and have given up looking for work, we're looking at about 31 million people, 9.7% of the population.

Map here.

Plus, as of this posting, we are $13.2 trillion in debt. That's about $43,000 for each living American citizen. That includes you children. If your baby is born today, he/she is beginning life with that financial burden.

Yet this administration continues to spend, borrow, waste money, and pass bills that keeps the private sector sidelined and oppressed.

The Can't Do Obama Administration

Other than violating the laws set forth in the Constitution, the Obama administration is the little train that can't. They are very close to having taken full governmental control of the automotive, health care, financial and energy private sector industries. Meanwhile, border security, military engagements, and providing an economic climate to allow for private sector job growth (how many times to liberals need to be told that government does not create jobs) lay fallow, things the federal government is specifically directed to do by the Constitution.

So they CAN'T protect our borders.

Homeland Security Sec Napolitano, CAN'T do anything about the border.

In Afghanistan, a nine year long war, most of the casualties have happened on Obama's watch. George Bush allowed this to be turned into a politically managed war like was done with Vietnam, with the same result. Lesson not learned. Obama is making it worse. From Jan. 20, 2009 to July 2, 2010, there were 452 combat-related deaths. That's more than half of the 900 combat-related deaths since Oct 2001 when we engaged in the operation. The top five deadliest months so far are:
1. June 2010 (59 casualties).
2. October 2009 (58 casualties).
3. August 2009 (51 deaths)
4. July 2009 (43 deaths)
5. September 2009 (37 deaths)
Several weeks ago I suggested that because we have an incompetent Commander in Chief, to save soldiers' lives, we should withdraw from Afghanistan. This bears out my contention.

The administration CAN'T fix the employment situation. It's time to despair for America's fiscal house. This is what passes for leadership with this administration. Vice President Joe Biden: "There's no possibility to restore 8 million jobs lost in the Great Recession." This was followed by the obligatory 'blame Bush', "We inherited a godawful mess." That was followed by a big lie, that 500,000 private sector jobs were created, and there's been a 4% growth in the economy. Huge lie, it just didn't happen, but of course the Jurassic Press did not do any fact checking or challenge his assertion. These statements were made at a fundraiser for Sen. Russ Feingold (D-Wisc.) in Milwaukee on June 26. The other big lie about the economy is 2.2 million to 2.8 million jobs were either saved or created because of the stimulus as of March 2010. What specific jobs were "saved" and how is that measured? According to data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the economy has lost 4.4 million jobs, worse than Herbert Hoover, since Obama completed his first full month in office February 2009.

In international economics we CAN'T be the economic engine of the world. From U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner at the recent G20 summit, that basically, the US economy is a failure, will continue to be a failure, and the world needs to step it up. Here it is in economic/diplomatic gobbledygook: "Given the broader shifts under way in the U.S. economy towards higher domestic savings, without further progress on rebalancing global demand, global growth rates will fall short of potential." "In this context, we are concerned by the projected weakness in domestic demand in Europe and Japan." The US has been the economic engine of the world for nearly a century, and all the sudden we CAN'T?

According to this administration, we CAN'T do anything about the border, we CAN't do anything about unemployment, we CAN'T do anything about military loses in Afghanistan, we CAN't do anything about the US economy at the global level.

I never ever ever want any leader, in any situation, say that something CAN'T be done. The purpose of leadership is to get things done. Added to the CAN'T do list, is the WON'T do of the Gulf oil spill. This administration has done nothing but threaten law suits and blame people. The solution is here, and Obama must do it. Then again, after the fact, he'll have a lot of excuses on why he couldn't do these things.

The CAN'T do Presidency.

I think we can get jobs back. I think a lot bad guys in Afghanistan can be killed with reduced US casualties. I think the oil spill can be dealt with effectively and immediately. I think the US can be the economic engine of the world. I want a can do presidency.

The Professor, Intellectuals, Lawyers

Here's what we have so far, after a little over a year and a half of Obama.

Six weeks ago, Obama was told about the oil spill, and that it was going to be a mega disaster. He went a week before doing anything, then lied, saying he's been all over it since day one. Governor Jindall asked for five million feet of hard boom on May 2, and has so far has received about 800,000 feet. Jindall also requested that he be allowed to build sandy berms to protect the shoreline. Not done because there had to be an environmental impact study by the Environmental Protection Agency first. Truly. What he did first was send lawyers. Then threaten individuals that work for the oil companies with criminal penalties and lawsuits, to put a "boot on the neck of BP". Then he made a couple speeches, made sure Bush and Cheney were blamed, and flew down for a photo op. Meanwhile 17 countries that had the experience, knowledge and expertise to help, were shut out. This disaster did not not have to be as horrible as it is. He didn't allocate resources. Essentially, Barry did nothing.

We have 10% unemployment, and rising. Unemployment has nearly doubled since he took office. Of course it's Bush's fault. Recent jobs report shows 431,000 new jobs last month. Of course Barry, the Dems and Jurassic Press use this to say how much better things are getting. What they neglected to point out was that 411,000 of those jobs were census worker temp jobs. It turns out too, that over the past few weeks, the census workers were fired and rehired to drive up the employment numbers. We had a net gain of 20,000 people employed in productive jobs. Barry says this is a good thing. He lies. It's a really bad thing.

How to finance all this government growth? The Bush tax cuts are due to expire. Right now, 1% of the population pays 18% of the taxes. That's about 95% more than the bottom half of our population pays. If the "rich" pay any more than their "fair share", they too will run out of money. Yet Barry says they must pay more, so he can continue running up the debt beyond the $trillions he has. He lies. His programs of capitalist cronyism is impoverishing us all. By the way, rich people are already moving their money off shore, this including rich Dems and Statists.

The TARP and "Stimulus" money has essentially gone to Dem controlled state and local governments. A lot are sitting in Dem campaign coffers.

North Korea sinks a South Korean boat. Nothing said or done. The Obama way. Maybe he could send some lawyers (if he hasn't already).

China thumbs it's collective nose at us. Nadda.

Iran continues to build it nuclear stuff. Nadda.

He was quick though, to jump on the 'condemn Israel' international bandwagon for the blockade event. He called it a measured response. He lied. He supports Palestine and not Israel. At least that's more than his usual 'nadda' response. See, if it makes America look bad, he supports it. Another example of that is the president of Mexico insulting the US from the White House and Capitol Building, and him agreeing. Statist Paul McCartney insults a past president and the American people while in the White House and Barry agreeing. This last at a star studded awards ceremony. Wednesday night, which has become a regular party night for Barry and Michelle. Party on dude!

He was willing to "dis" the military by not attending the Memorial Day ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknowns. Vacation more important.

Millions of gallons leaking in the worst environmental disaster in history, but he goes to fund raisers for his Statist friends.

The state of Arizona is under attack from Mexico, with their murderers, rapists, gun runners, cartels, drug runners and kidnappers. What has Barry done? Nadda. Well, he did condemn Arizona for trying to protect itself, so I guess that's something.

This guy has not only never run anything, but has never had a job. He's held positions in his rise to power. It's showing. He doesn't know what to do about anything, other than give speeches, photo ops, and send lawyers. He has, like FDR, surrounded himself with intellectuals, professors and lawyers, none of whom have any idea how the real world works, any idea about the natural order of things, but have the power to make us conform to their theoretical paradigm. We are suffering, and it will get worse because Barry and his people have no clue what to do about anything. They have no clue how to solve any problems. Words and lawyers is all they know.

Harry 'Dusty' Reid...Really Good ONLY 36,000 People Lost Their Jobs

What an idiot. Remember when Bush unemployment hovered around 5% and the Dems and their lap dinosaurs in the Jurassic Press were screaming about the coming depression, the heartless Bush administration with its policies that deliberately impoverish the poor so the rich can get richer? Them going to homeless shelters finding impoverished moms with their tales of woe, that were there because of Bush? Can you imagine if Republicans were in power and one of them said this?

'Dusty' Harry came out later in the day saying everyone knows what he meant and were only attacking what he said to make political points. He said that economists expected that 60,000-80,000 jobs were expected to be lost. Well that makes sense...take the worst case scenario presented by a few knucklehead Marxist/Keynesian Obama apologists to cover his idiot tracks. If the Dems and Obama really were thinking unemployment was going up that much, why are they still pursuing the policy that's exacerbating the situation?

The answer is that they don't believe in the ability, talent, and collective intelligence of the American people, they don't believe in capitalism, they don't believe in American exceptionalism, they don't believe that America should be more and have more than the rest of the world. They do believe they are better and smarter than anyone else; they believe in a top down command economy. Top down command economies fail 100% of the time.

The Dems and Obama, Reid, Pelosi think the Venezuelaisation of America and ruling like Hugo Chavez is a good thing. Idiots.

MSM Worships, You Don't Get to Decide VI

Is 9.8% unemployment good or bad? Depends it seems, on who's president.

Charlie Gibson, ABC's Capitol Hill Correspondent 1982, Reagan was president: "[T]here really isn't any good news in the statistics. All the numbers are bad." Then he found some politicians that bemoaned how horrible the economy was due to the evil Reagan including Rep. Henry S. Reuss, (D-Wis): "...policies aren't just mistaken, they're wicked."

Charlie Gibson, ABC News Anchor, 2009: "...sometimes a bad jobs report can look good."
"345,000 Americans lost their jobs in May, a big number to be sure. Traumatic if you are one of the 345,000. But the number was smaller than economists had predicted, and that's good news."

Each of these were said when the unemployment rate was 9.4%.

ABC’s George Stephanopoulos: “...the unemployment rate nears 10 percent, but the numbers aren’t all bad.”

Media Research Center’s Business & Media Institute:
Network Reports 13 Times More Negative Under Reagan than Under Obama: An overwhelming majority of stories mentioning the Reagan administration were negative 91 percent (20 out of 22) while only 7 percent (1 out of 15) of Obama administration mentions were negative. Additionally, Obama mentions were favorable 87 percent of the time, but there were zero positive mentions of Reagan.
Networks Connect Reagan White House to Negative Jobs Numbers Almost Twice as Often as Obama: Unemployment stories in 1982 mentioned the Reagan administration 71 percent of the time (22 out of 31), but 2009 stories mentioned the Obama administration only 40 percent of the time (14 out of 35).

Senator Dianne Feinstein (D, CA) Justifying Causing a Drought, Hunger and Unemployment (vid)

I wrote about this in May, and the situation is worse. The fish that is causing drought, 40% unemployment and untold misery is not even indigenous to the area. The people should defy the power hungry politicians that don't care if the people go hungry for food; go down there and turn on the spigot. This issue is horrible for the whole country, not just California.
