May each of you have the heart to conceive, the understanding to direct, and the hand to execute works that will leave the world a little better for your having been here. -- Ronald Reagan

What Obama Likes About the Military

What Obama likes about the military isn’t the it protects freedom, helps people in dire straits, but that it’s so damn organized and everybody just submits.

In his opening campaign speech given as the State of the Union Address a couple days ago, paring away the Marxist rhetoric was praise of the military, he said.

“At a time when too many of our institutions have let us down, they exceed all expectations. They’re not consumed with personal ambition. They don’t obsess over their differences. They focus on the mission at hand. They work together. Imagine what we could accomplish if we followed their example. Think about the America within our reach.”
Our Dear Leader would like us all to follow him, like soldiers follow their sergeant, lieutenant or captain. This fits in with what he said to the racist group La Raza (that has changed its name to sound less racist), a group advocating the violent overthrow of the US government. Back in 2011, addressing the Congressional Hispanic Caucus:
"As I mentioned when I was at La Raza a few weeks back, I wish I had a magic wand and could make this all happen on my own," "There are times where -- until Nancy Pelosi is speaker again -- I'd like to work my way around Congress."

"We live in a democracy, and at the end of the day, I can't do this all by myself under our democratic system." At a July 2011 speech he told the Racist organization La Raza: "Some people want me to bypass Congress and change the laws on my own" and that he found the idea very tempting. Really.

That brings us back to his praise of the military and his mistaken notion that like them, we should give up our freedoms and submit. The true meaning and application of submission here. Obama with this statement reveals his desire for us all to be like military units, and submit to the commands of the State, and most especially to him, Our Dear Leader.

Back to his campaign speech before Congress, and his view that we should be more like the military, taking yet more credit for the killing of Bin Laden:  “All that mattered that day was the mission. No one thought about politics. No one thought about themselves.” This is how he wants us citizens to behave. He continued saying the mission “only succeeded . . . because every single member of that unit did their job. . . . More than that, the mission only succeeded because every member of that unit trusted each other — because you can’t charge up those stairs, into darkness and danger, unless you know that there’s somebody behind you, watching your back. So it is with America.” No, it is not so with America. We became great and exceptional because we are messy and unruly. More: “This nation is great because we worked as a team. This nation is great because we get each other’s backs.”

Obama has said in several speeches and interviews that he will work around Congress, and he has.

Rob Quirk, KOAA-TV:(@ 8:20) “And one year from today we will know if this a one-term or two-term president. So, I asked the president what will it take from now until then to not only win Colorado again, but reelection as well.”

President Obama: “Well, what we’re going to have to do is continue to make progress on the economy over the next several months. And where Congress is not willing to act, we’re going to go ahead and do it ourselves. But it would be nice if we could get a little bit of help from Capitol Hill.”

This president does not like nor believe in democracy. He believes in obedience to the State. If he had it his way, obedience to him.

Quotable Quote

"The Party seeks power entirely for its own sake. We are not interested in the good of others; we are interested solely in power. Not wealth or luxury or long life or happiness: only power, pure power. ... We know that no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it. Power is not a means, it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power. Now do you begin to understand me?" --George Orwell, "1984"

Obama, Chavez and Honduras

This guy, Manuel Zelaya, was the president of Honduras, and tried a coup, fortunately not violent, by using mob rule to unconstitutionally get himself re-elected. The legislature, judicial, and military said he can't. He persisted and so was kicked out of the country. Chavez, dictator of Venezuela, is supportive of Zelaya and his illegal action, as is our Dear Leader and his Sec of State Clinton. They both support this violation of law, and are threatening economic sanctions against Honduras unless they let Zelaya back in the country (he was exiled) and allowed to pursue his illegal action.

Why, do you think, is our Statist president siding with the violation of a country's constitution, the attempted establishment of a dictatorship in a democratic country, and supporting thugs like Chavez and his fellow communist dictators?

What our "Support and Lie for Obama All the Time Media" reports is that the military had a coup and kicked this guy out of the country. They did not report that this action by Zelaya violated Article 239 of the Constitution, and the Legislature voted 122-6 to remove him from office, and it was upheld by the Supreme Court. That in turn allowed the military to go in and remove him.
