Republican Convention: Vice Presidential Candidate Paul Ryan

He speaks the truth, and inspires. The Re-elect Obama Press, and other Leftists\Dems are in full throated roar denying everything said here. Just saw a great line, something to the effect that a lie to Leftists is a truth they don't like. True.

Republican Convention: Condoleezza Rice

"Americans have believed that you might not be able to control
your circumstances but you can control your response to your
circumstances."

http://youtu.be/4g6PpIW3hPg

"When the world looks at us today, they see an American
government that cannot live within its means.  They see an
American government that continues to borrow money, that will
mortgage the future of generations to come.  The world knows
that when a nation loses control of its finances, it eventually
loses control of its destiny."

"My fellow Americans, ours has never been a narrative of
grievance and entitlement.  We have never believed that I am
doing poorly because you are doing well.  We have never been
jealous of one another and never envious of each others'
successes.
No, no, ours has been a belief in opportunity.  And it has
been a constant struggle, long and hard, up and down, to try to
extend the benefits of the American dream to all.  But that
American ideal is indeed in danger today.  There is no country,
no, not even a rising China that can do more harm to us than we
can do to ourselves if we do not do the hard work before us here
at home."

"My fellow Americans, ours has never been a narrative of
grievance and entitlement.  We have never believed that I am
doing poorly because you are doing well.  We have never been
jealous of one another and never envious of each others'
successes."

Republican Convention: Former Rep. Artur Davis, ex-Democrat and Obama Operative

Former Rep. Artur Davis, one of Barack Obama’s former campaign co-chairs has become a Republican, and tells the reasons why here. Of course he's been viciously attacked by Dems, and especially by the Racist Hate group, the Congressional Black Caucus. Part of their tolerance, diversity, civility and open mindedness - not.

The Re-elect Obama Media has gone over the top, screaming how racist the Republican Party is. I had to work last night, but from my watching vids and reading, it seems whenever a Black or Hispanic was giving a speech, they cut away to a commercial or did their talking heads thing. Need to support the notion they've propogandized the Republicans are a white racist hate group by only showing whites. Have you noticed that except for the anti-Semite Racist Al Sharpton, all their commentators and alleged reporters are white? Chris Matthews, Rachel Maddow, Ed Schultz, Chuck Todd, all the anchors and the rest? Also notice, when looking at pictures of the violent "occupiers" they're all white? Bunch of racists, not allowing for diversity!

Republican Convention~Former Sen. Rick Santorum: "I Shook the Hand of the American Dream"

Oh my! "I thank God that America still has one party that reaches out their hands in love to lift up all of God’s children – born and unborn – and says that each of us has dignity and all of us have the right to live the American Dream."

http://youtu.be/i2O4GMbi9mA

"Under President Obama, the dream of freedom and opportunity has become a nightmare of dependency with almost half of America receiving some government benefit.

It is no surprise fewer and fewer Americans are achieving their dreams and more and more parents are concerned their children won’t realize theirs.

President Obama spent four years and borrowed five trillion dollars, trying to convince you that he could make things better for you —- to put your trust in him and the government to take care of every problem.

The result — massive debt, anemic growth and millions more unemployed. The President’s plan didn’t work for America, because that’s not how America works.

In America we believe in freedom and the responsibility that comes with it to work hard to make that dream of reaching our God-given potential come true.

We believe it because it still works.

Even today."
............

"Graduate from high school, work hard, and get married before you have children and the chance you will ever be in poverty is just two percent.

Yet if you don’t do these three things you’re 38 times more likely to end up in poverty!

We understand many Americans don’t succeed because the family that should be there to guide them, and serve as the first rung on the ladder of success, isn’t there or is badly broken.

The fact is that marriage is disappearing in places where government dependency is highest. Most single mothers do heroic work and an amazing job raising their children, but if America is going to succeed, we must stop the assault on marriage and the family."

Ann Romney Speech Republican Convention "Tonight I want to talk to you about love."

Moving and touching. This is a great woman, and great human being. It's about love and service.

http://youtu.be/PBA7rPKhGtQ

I want to talk to you tonight not about politics and not about party.

And while there are many important issues we'll hear discussed in this convention and throughout this campaign, tonight I want to talk to you from my heart about our hearts.

I want to talk not about what divides us, but what holds us together as an American family. I want to talk to you tonight about that one great thing that unites us, that one thing that brings us our greatest joy when times are good, and the deepest solace in our dark hours.

Tonight I want to talk to you about love.

..........

Mitt doesn't like to talk about how he has helped others because he sees it as a privilege, not a political talking point.  And we're no different than the millions of Americans who quietly help their neighbors, their churches and their communities.  They don't do it so that others will think more of them.

They do it because there IS no greater joy.

"Give and it shall be given unto you."

History of Leftist Media at Republican Conventions

The Re-elect Obama Media has already loaded up this convention using Akin's stupid rape comment to paint all Republicans as believing the same as him, even though every Republican, from Romney on down has denounced it. The beat goes on. Some equivalent questions for the Democrat convention could be "Why do you promote infanticide". "How many illegal voters do you expect to get this election with Obama's illegal amnesty executive order?" "Why haven't you put repealing the second amendment, ban all gun ownership by the masses, in the Party Platform?" "Do you think your support of the Muslim Brotherhood, PLO and Hamas is outside the mainstream of Americans?" "Do you think the Democrat Party has become too exclusionary and intolerant by not giving Christians a voice?" "How long do you think it will take to get a 100% tax rate on those making over $250,000 a year?" "President Obama has said to the Russians to wait till he's re-elected so he has more flexibility. How long will it take him to totally disarm the US, turn control of the government to the UN, and completely open our borders? Followup question, how many more communists and members of the Muslim Brotherhood do you think he'll add to his Cabinet and Staff?"

Expect more of the same this week.

Secularists', Atheists' Anti Christian Hypocrisy

Can't give attribution, don't know where it came from.

Krauthammer: 'On the Big Issues, He Loses'

Krauthammer summing up the Obama campaign as only he can. Priceless.

DNC Chair Wasserman-Schultz Lies, Is Caught, Says It Doesn't Matter

Finally, a member of the Re-Elect Obama Media challenges a Left Wing Radical Extremist in a lie, and her response is, it doesn't matter. Dan Rather did the same thing when he and his staff created false documents about GW Bush and said even if the documents were false, what was in the was true. Huh? Leftists have been doing this for years, and they still brazenly lie, say they know they're lying, but what they are saying is true. Huh?

Democrats Want People to Die of Thirst, and Hate Children's Birthday Parties

Recently A woman in AZ giving out FREE water on a 112 degree day is cited. This falls in line with little kids being cited and their lemonade stands shut down. This is a window into the gov't control everything in our lives that Democrats/Leftists support. Using Leftist logic, big gov't Leftists want people to die of thirst. Story here.

Now a farmer in Virginia has been cited and fined because she sold some produce from her farm and had a birthday party for a ten year old girl.

http://youtu.be/1e7Mwjf-QPI

Using Leftist logic and civility, I can only come to the conclusion that Leftists/Dems, supporters of gov't controlling every aspect of our lives, want people to die of dehydration, want family farms to go out of business, and hate children's birthday parties.

The Diffusion of Christianity or How Christians Are Rejecting the Core of the Faith

Apostle Paul
Christianity in America has been moving down the path away from the Faith for decades now. The most noted preachers and mega churches got that way by prosperity preaching, making material gain what Christianity is about. The idea that God wants you to be rich, having money and real estate is primary; not the Cross, Crucifixion, Resurrection, Redemption, Salvation, Hope, Love and Charity, and the other elements of orthodox Christianity. Add to this the infusion of New Age mysticism, God is within you and the pantheistic notions which flies in the face of Christian thought. I actually have people in my church say all religions have something to teach and are equal.

I shudder when I hear this. It demeans and possibly rejects who Christ is and what Christianity is. There are commonalities to be sure, but judging Christianity to be the same as other religions is, to coin an old term, heretical. Which brings us to an article in The Washington Post's "On Faith" page. This is a liberal page to be sure, and usually gets things about Christianity wrong, but I read because we must always be knowledgeable of who, is weakening the Faith, and how.

Kathleen Duff has written a piece praising Islam and saying Christians can learn from the Koran. Really and truly. The Koran that teaches killing people that aren't Muslim, or apostates, is beyond just okay, it's mandated; or that the Holy Trinity is polytheism.  Her take is the Koran teaches something we won't find in Christianity, or apparently, in the Bible. She wrote: “The Quran encouraged me to continuously be aware of a gracious and merciful God who cherishes humanity and cherishes all of creation. I came to believe more firmly during my humble Ramadan experience that being cherished by God is an example of divine love beyond the limitations of any one language, symbol and imagination.” ... “This insight into sacred polarity is a perfect teaching paradigm for respectful interreligious dialogue, which is never about win/lose, right/wrong profiling and divisiveness.”

Sacred polarity? Gobbledygook.

I can't think of a more profiling and divisive religion than Islam. What's she talking about? It's what happens when the core of Christianity is diminished by incorporating political correctness and liberal thinking into the Faith. Could Duff have written an article about what Islam can learn from the Christian New Testament?

All the New Age preachers and followers, prosperity preachers and followers I'm concerned about; they are rejecting Christ and who He is. They are rejecting the Faith. They are teaching a watered down Christianity, turning the Word, the Good News, and Christ into something that comfortably fits their needs, not God's. This new Christianity asks what we can get out of God, but not what God can get out of us. (I'm paraphrasing what our Pastor John Adams said in his sermon last Sunday; credit due.)

These two creeds are our core, and Christianity is moving away, and toward disaster. In 1949 Dorothy Sayers wrote what may be turning into a prophetic book, Creed or Chaos? Why Christians Must Choose Either Dogma or Disaster (or, why it really matters what you believe.)

Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
Amen.

Nicene Creed
We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, light from light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one Being with the Father;
through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven,
was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary
and became truly human.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father [and the Son],
who with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.

How I've Come to Reject Libertarians Even Though I'm for Free Minds, Free Markets

Libertarians, It's my way, period.

I've said for years I'm a Republican out of political necessity, but Libertarian at my political core. In light of recent political events, the Libertarians have shown little regard, even disregard, of the political reality that there's a difference between Romney, a successful capitalist, and Obama, a failed Communist. Their contention Romney and Obama are the same, to even calling them RomBama or something; it varies.

The result of it is I've combined Leftists with Libertarians. Both are ideologues with no use for political realities. There's a reason Libertarians haven't gain a foothold in the electoral process, and it's because their ideas are not acceptable when applied to the extreme they want. It's why Ron Paul is no more successful now as in the 1980's. Visit the Cato Institute site, and there are a number of great ideas. I've been reading Libertarian authors for years, and have embraced those thoughts. The year Bush the First ran for reelection I vote a straight Libertarian ticket.

We're at an obvious crossroads. If re-elected, Obama plans to double down on his spending. He plans to do another stimulus package; it's the contention of the Left the first failed because not enough money was spent. Obama has stated he wants to nationalize all businesses like he did GM. By the way, GM is facing bankruptcy again.

It's true the Romney economic plan, as does Ryan's, only slows the growth of government, and doesn't actually cut spending all that much to start. An economic projection I buy into is the change in economic policy will slow spending growth to about 3%, and the result of that will be revenues going up to about 6%. It's a good start to changing the direction of our economic problems in the right direction, away from what Greece, Spain, England, Ireland and the rest are experiencing. The metaphor of changing course of a ship applies. It takes awhile.

Libertarians reject this notion, saying it's the same as Obama's communist policies. Really and truly? Their presidential candidate, Gary Johnson, has about 5% of the vote according to the latest polling. Libertarians will vote for him no matter the consequences and political reality. (Leftists\Dems will vote for Obama no matter the consequences and political reality.) If the election is close, in swing states, that will tip in favor of Obama. Libertarians reject that this makes any difference since there's no difference between the two. This kind of ideological adherence could lend itself to the US becoming a totalitarian State. The political reality is that sometimes coalitions need to be formed to stop a horrible thing from happening.

The Libertarians apparently are willing to contribute to the removal of all freedoms, and the destruction of our constitutional republic, to suit their own ideological needs.

A final note. There's an additional sameness to Leftists. That's intolerance and incivility by Libertarians. Lots of name calling and insults, the kind of thing I experience dropping comments on Leftist's sites. Because I don't agree with them, I'm uninformed, following the herd, can't think for myself, and am stupid. Nice way to make an argument, or convince people to consider their political and economic views. This view is a result of trying to have a discussion with them. I was taken aback when I got the same response as I get trying to have a discussion with Leftists.

In all fairness then, applying their own principals, seeing no difference between Romney and Obama, Republican and Democrat, I see no difference between Johnson and Obama, Libertarian and Democrat; decisions to vote for either Obama or Johnson, "JoBama" will lead to economic, political and social disaster, the finalization of Obama's desire to establish a communist State and overthrow our constitutional republic.

Democrat Conspiracy Theories About Those Evil Republicans

All Leftists Believe This

You know those Republicans, they just don't have a different economic and political viewpoint. They're evil. This vid summarizes their pathological hatred of Conservatives and Republicans. So here are the three prongs Republicans are using to win the White House. Those damn rich racists anyway. Yep, still doing the race thing. If you oppose Obama's communism, you're a racist.

http://youtu.be/a0ccPh3YYH4

1. Sabotage the economy and blame it on Obama
2. Use rich peoples’ money to spread lies about Obama
3. Suppress minority voters using Voter ID laws

This is vile and malevolent stuff, but Democrats/Leftists actually believe it. To Koch brothers I say Soros. To using rich people's money to spread lies,
University of California          $1,648,685
Goldman Sachs           $1,013,091
Harvard University     $878,164
Microsoft Corp           $852,167
Google Inc      $814,540
JPMorgan Chase & Co           $808,799
Citigroup Inc   $736,771
Time Warner   $624,618 ...............all Obama donors.

Plus how many hundreds of fundraisers from rich Hollywood types, media moguls, and industry tycoons?
$135,000 a plate dinners?

Lies like Romney hasn't paid taxes for 10 years, he's a felon, he's a murderer, he's a bully (when he was 16!), and they're still doing the dog on the car thing. Really and truly? Ryan wants to kill old people? Really and truly?

Plus they get free campaign messaging from the Re-elect Obama Press.

Mitch McConnell is Senate Minority Leader, not Majority by the way. No one making this vid knows this?

And of course, nothing that's gone wrong in the last three and a half years plus has anything to do with Obama's policies. It's the Evil Bush! And Congress that was controlled for more than half this administration by Democrats.

Democrats have become a vile and pathetic group of pathological liars. A symptom of that is not knowing you're telling lies, you believe them yourself.

The Late Great Democrat Party. Hopefully after November we can say RIP. Of course they are a violent group, and they could well be rioting in the streets, like Leftists do when they don't get their way.

A Chronical of Obama's Anti Religious Beliefs Turned Into Action

1. Acts of hostility toward people of Biblical faith:

April 2008 Obama speaks disrespectfully of Christians, saying they cling to guns or religion and have an antipathy to people who aren't like them.1

February 2009 Obama announces plans to revoke conscience protection for health workers who refuse to participate in medical activities that go against their beliefs, and fully implements the plan in February 2011.2

April 2009 When speaking at Georgetown University , Obama orders that a monogram symbolizing Jesus' name be covered when he is making his speech. 3

May 2009 Obama declines to host services for the National Prayer Day (a day established by federal law) at the White House. 4

April 2009 In a deliberate act of disrespect, Obama nominated three pro-abortion ambassadors to the Vatican ; of course, the pro-life Vatican rejected all three.5

February 2011 Although he filled posts in the State Department, for more than two years Obama did not fill the post of religious freedom ambassador, an official that works against religious persecution across the world; he filled it only after heavy pressure from the public and from Congress. 9

April 2011 For the first time in American history, Obama urges passage of a non-discrimination law that does not contain hiring protections for religious groups, forcing religious organizations to hire according to federal mandates without regard to the dictates of their own faith, thus eliminating conscience protection in hiring. 10

August 2011 The Obama administration releases its new health care rules that override religious conscience protections for medical workers in the areas of abortion and contraception. 11

fund pro-abortion groups that either promote or perform abortions in other nations.26

January 2009  President Obamas nominee for deputy secretary of state asserts that American taxpayers are required to pay for abortions and that limits on abortion funding are unconstitutional. 27

May 2009  Obama officials assemble a terrorism dictionary calling pro-life advocates violent and charging that they use racism in their criminal activities. 33

October 2011 The Obama administration eliminates federal grants to the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops for their extensive programs that aid victims of human trafficking because the Catholic Church is anti-abortion.43

4. Acts of preferentialism for Islam:
May 2009 While Obama does not host any National Day of Prayer event at the White House, he does host White House Iftar dinners in honor of Ramadan ( a Islamic Holy Month). 44

April 2010  Christian leader Franklin Graham is disinvited from the Pentagons National Day of Prayer Event because of complaints from the Muslim community. 45

April 2010  The Obama administration requires rewriting of government documents and a change in administration vocabulary to remove terms that are deemed offensive to Muslims, including jihad, jihadists, terrorists, radical Islamic, etc. 46

August 2010 Obama speaks with great praise of Islam and condescendingly of Christianity. 47

August 2010  Obama went to great lengths to speak out on multiple occasions on behalf of building an Islamic mosque at Ground Zero, while at the same time he was silent about a Christian church being denied permission to rebuild at that location. 48

2010  While every White House traditionally issues hundreds of official proclamations and statements on numerous occasions, this White House avoids traditional Biblical holidays and events but regularly recognizes major Muslim holidays, as evidenced by its 2010 statements on Ramadan, Eid-ul-Fitr, Hajj, and Eid-ul-Adha.49

October 2011  Obamas Muslim advisers block Middle EasternChristians access to the White House. 50

February 2012  The Obama administration makes effulgentapologies for Korans being burned by the U. S. military, 51
but when Bibles were burned by the military, numerous reasons were offered why it was the right thing to do.52

What Christians Have Offered Through the Centuries

This is a vid about and from the Catholic Church. Though I'm a Protestant, I'm proud and happy to be a part of this tradition.

http://youtu.be/9gu3UOoLcos

Thoughts On Natural Law, God, and Our Decaying Civilization

I've been thinking much lately about God as Natural Law and Love. I do this because I'm trying to find a way to communicate to atheists and secularists the importance of God, of Natural Law, that is necessary to the cohesion and survival of civilization, and importantly to me, Western Civilization and my country. Once that dialog is open, then we can discuss God; need to open the door.

The move to remove God from our culture has been going strong, and successfully for nearly fifty years, having a strong launch in the 1960's. The strong Judeo-Christian culture that served so successfully for a couple centuries began to crumble. Whole books have been written about this, and the best I found so far is Bad Religion by Ross Douthat.

As a result, promiscuity and adultery are more and more rationalized and acceptable, overeating and drinking the same, being self-serving rather than serving others, being autonomous over family, the promotion of homosexuality above heterosexuality. We don't care much who one is poking or whatever, but the purpose of sex is procreation, which comes as natural law. I've got to say to intolerant homosexuals that bash hetero's, if it weren't for us, you wouldn't exist, so show some respect.

God's creation, containing it's beauty, it's love, it's bounty, good people wanting to do good is more and more being rejected. Marxist Materialism is on the rise, only the physical matters. The brain releases chemicals governing our behavior, the world exists to serve our needs, and nihilism is the philosophy of the time.

One can reject Natural law, men and women coming together, Love, God, Creation, Beauty, Justice (not what's fair to men in power, known as "social justice"), moral teachings found in the Ten Commandments and throughout Scripture that are not relative to what feels good at the moment. God thought us, all creation, into existence, and yet so many refuse to accept those God thoughts as right thoughts, natural law and Love thoughts, because it's inconvenient to their own desires.

Athanasius:
By his own wisdom and Word, who is our Lord and Savior Christ, the all-holy Father (whose excellence far exceeds that of any creature), like a skillful steersman guides to safety all creation, regulating and keeping it in being, as he judges right. It is right that creation should exist as he has made it and as we see it happening, because this is his will, which no one would deny. For if the movement of the universe were irrational, and the world rolled on in random fashion, one would be justified in disbelieving what we say. But if the world is founded on reason, wisdom and science, and is filled with orderly beauty, then it must owe its origin and order to none other than the Word of God.
He is God, the living and creative God of the universe, the Word of the good God, who is God in his own right…. the Word that created this whole world and enlightens it by his loving wisdom….produced the order in all creation….and gives order, direction and unity to creation.
By his eternal Word the Father created all things and implanted a nature in his creatures. He…in his goodness he governs and sustains the whole of nature by his Word (who is himself also God), so that under the guidance, providence and ordering of that Word, the whole of nature might remain stable and coherent in his light. ~~From a Discourse Against the Pagans by Saint Athanasius
If one studies pagan society, there was no justice, women were treated worse than slaves, there was no charity, no compassion, it was all selfish and hurtful. It rejected everything that even secularists claim to want; love, compassion, justice, charity. Those don't come from brain chemistry, firing synapses, government, or Marxist philosophy that denies men's souls.  It comes from natural law, from Christianity, from God.

What's With This Vampire Craze? Fr Barron Explains

I've been pondering for awhile this cultural fascination with vampire lore. I just don't get it. Here's the best explanation I've found so far.

Service and Helping Others Through Christ

Our Faith, Christianity, is very much about service. Sometimes we see the world falling apart around us, see the increasing suffering, hatred and intolerance, hunger for food and God (many deny the latter) and just want to just give up on it all. Christ never gives up on us.  Sometimes all we need to do is be cheerful, loving and holy; living in imitation of Christ as best we can. That holiness spreads. You can be the pebble in the pond that spreads love and service.

If I can help somebody, as I pass along,
If I can cheer somebody, with a word or song,
If I can show somebody, how they're travelling wrong,
Then my living shall not be in vain.

Chorus:
My living shall not be in vain,
Then my living shall not be in vain
If I can help somebody, as I pass along,
Then my living shall not be in vain.

If I can do my duty, as a good man ought,
If I can bring back beauty, to a world up wrought,
If I can spread love's message, as the Master taught,
Then my living shall not be in vain.

I can do all things in God who strengthens me (Phil 4:13)
All things are possible to him who believes (Mk 9:23)
For man it is impossible, but not with God, for all things are possible with God (Mk 10:27)

God is Never Distant

I sometimes hear people say they feel God is distant. I haven't, I'm pleased to say, experienced that since I returned to Him. Truth is we shut Him out, we distance ourselves. We need to stay mindful of him all the time, because he's good to us all the time, with us all time, and loves us all the time.

From an unknown source, an unknown monk:

Speaking to the Master, the Monk said, “So what does one do about the distance?”

“Understand that it isn’t there.” Said the Master.

“Does that mean that God and I are one?” Asked the puzzled Monk.
“Not one. Not two.” Said Father Abbot.

“How is that possible?” Replied the disciple.

And looking at him, the master replied:
“The sun and its light,
the ocean and the wave,
the singer and his song -
–not one….Not two.”

Sicut Cervus - Like the Deer that Yearns
Sicut cervus desiderat ad fontes aquarum, ita desiderat anima mea ad te Deus.
As a deer longs for springs of water, so my soul longs for you, O God.

A Flowerbed Formed Like a Cross Is Offensive? Really Atheists?

So offensive!

Earlier in the week, some bigoted, intolerant Atheists got their wish in Columbus, Georgia, and got a flowerbed in a park that was shaped like a cross removed. That horrible icon of love, sacrifice and salvation is sooooooooooo upsetting to these thin skinned knuckleheads, a fellow secularist, in the form of a judge, had it removed.

Citizens that wanted the cross there went to the city council and told the council to put it back. You know, citizens that politicians are supposed to be serving. The Christian-hating members said no. They citied a law saying a cross or religious symbol can't be on federal land. Problem is, no such law exists, just as there's not separation of church and state in the Constitution. Christian symbols by the way, are on practically every federal building and on currency.

Often these kind of people, government officials and politicians, do support Sharia Law.  Let's see how much they pine for Judeo-Christian law when women are turned into slaves to be beaten and stoned, there are minarets all across he land, and they have to bow to Mecca five times a day. Oh yeah, beheading if you don' convert and obey.

These secularists forget all the values they hold dear, or claim to, are Judeo-Christian. Equality, Justice, caring for one another, freedom of speech, and all the rest come from scripture, God's law, natural law. They're only hoping if the excise Christians from culture and politics, they'll be the ones that rule the roost. Don't count on it. Any State, Communist Soviet Union, Communist China, Communist Cuba, and any other anti-Semitic, anti-Christian government only leads to death, prison and enslavement. They kill their own willingly.

Don't have to be a Christian, but you should respect them, beyond tolerance. The freedoms you have are because of them. The values you claim to have, come from them.

The Future of Dating

This may not be so far off. We're seeing people walking and looking at their devices, always plugged in. There's an app for about anything, why not this. Glasses are coming out with computers in them, retinas with apps next? Fascinating vid.

Milton Friedman on Collectivism

Government is too intrusive in our lives, building its power to control since the early 1900's. This administration has outdone itself, making socialist FDR look like a piker. Most of Obama's estimated 45 executive branch advisers (czars) have not been vetted, not passed senate approval, answer to no one but Obama, refuse to respond to freedom of information act requests, a justice department that selectively enforces the law, and a president that just plain ol' decides to issue executive orders to open US borders to illegal immigration, shut down mines and oil fields, and a whole list of things only congress, constitutionally, can do. If his ideas are so good, why does he and his Party pass legislation in the middle of the night, announce regulations on Friday afternoon when most are done with the week and not paying attention. This country did not become the most productive and free, benefiting the most amount of people on the planet in the history of civilization, because of totalitarians. Humanity is only impoverished and suffer under Statism, and Obama is the most Statist, anti-democratic, anti-republic president ever.

This eight minute clip concisely makes the point that we need to look at the results of collectivism vs capitalism. The intention of collectivism, what Obama and the Democrat Party want and are forcing down our collective throats, is social justice, equality and the rest is a good thing, but the result is always no just and only the political class and their supporters experience any equality.

Dems Move From Calling Romney a Felon to a Murderer

Democrat shill and liar Joe Soptic
Even the Re-elect Obama Media have to call out the horrible lying ad accusing Romney of murder. There was a big kerfuffle yesterday about the Democrat\Obama ad accusing Romney of the murder of steel worker Joe Soptic's wife. In an ad a few months ago, he said Bain/Romney Capitol was responsible for the shutting down of his plant, throwing everyone out of work, which proved to be a lie. He upped the ante in this new ad accusing Romney of murder, which the Obama Admin refused to repudiate, continued the lie, but with even worse charges. Facts: Romney left Bain 1999 to go work on the Winter Olympics. GST Steel went belly up in 2001. Soptic’s wife was diagnosed with cancer in 2006. His wife still had a job and her own health insurance. She had lost her job in 2003 or 2004. She died in 2006.

Explaining Conservative Economics in 25 Quotes

Compiled by blogger John Hawkins on Townhall. This captures the conservative mind. Think while reading these, Leftists believe the opposite. They don't believe in property rights, free enterprise, keeping your own money, limiting the government in citizens's lives...just for starters.

1) "I am for doing good to the poor, but I differ in opinion of the means. I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it." -- Benjamin Franklin

2) "The great danger to the consumer is the monopoly — whether private or governmental. His most effective protection is free competition at home and free trade throughout the world. The consumer is protected from being exploited by one seller by the existence of another seller from whom he can buy and who is eager to sell to him. Alternative sources of supply protect the consumer far more effectively than all the Ralph Naders of the world." -- Milton Friedman

3) "Nobody spends somebody else’s money as carefully as he spends his own. Nobody uses somebody else’s resources as carefully as he uses his own. So if you want efficiency and effectiveness, if you want knowledge to be properly utilized, you have to do it through the means of private property." -- Milton Friedman

4) "A claim for equality of material position can be met only by a government with totalitarian powers." -- F.A. Hayek

5) "Either immediately or ultimately every dollar of government spending must be raised through a dollar of taxation. Once we look at the matter. In this way, the supposed miracles of government spending will appear in another light." -- Henry Hazlitt

6) "The larger the percentage of the national income taken by taxes the greater the deterrent to private production and employment. When the total tax burden grows beyond a bearable size, the problem of devising taxes that will not discourage and disrupt production becomes insoluble." -- Henry Hazlitt

7) "There ain't no such thing as a free lunch." -- Robert Heinlein

8) "The prudent capitalist will never adventure his capital... if there exists a state of uncertainty as to whether the government will repeal tomorrow what it has enacted today." -- William Henry Harrison

9) "Were we directed from Washington when to sow, and when to reap, we should soon want bread." -- Thomas Jefferson

10) "A rising tide (in the economy) lifts all boats." -- John Kennedy

11) "The basic idea behind the relationship between tax rates and tax revenues is that changes in tax rates have two effects on revenues: the arithmetic effect and the economic effect. The arithmetic effect is simply that if tax rates are lowered, tax revenues (per dollar of tax base) will be lowered by the amount of the decrease in the rate. The reverse is true for an increase in tax rates. The economic effect, however, recognizes the positive impact that lower tax rates have on work, output, and employment--and thereby the tax base--by providing incentives to increase these activities. Raising tax rates has the opposite economic effect by penalizing participation in the taxed activities. The arithmetic effect always works in the opposite direction from the economic effect. Therefore, when the economic and the arithmetic effects of tax-rate changes are combined, the consequences of the change in tax rates on total tax revenues are no longer quite so obvious." -- Arthur Laffer explains the concept underlying the Laffer Curve

12) "What pays under capitalism is satisfying the common man, the customer. The more people you satisfy, the better for you." -- Ludwig Von Mises

13) "With regard to the idea of whether you have a right to health care, you have to realize what that implies. It’s not an abstraction. I’m a physician. That means you have a right to come to my house and conscript me. It means you believe in slavery. It means that you’re going to enslave not only me, but the janitor at my hospital, the person who cleans my office, the assistants who work in my office, the nurses." -- Rand Paul

14) "Don’t knock the rich. When did a poor person ever give you a job?" -- Laurence J. Peter

15) "America’s abundance was created not by public sacrifices to 'the common good,' but by the productive genius of free men who pursued their own personal interests and the making of their own private fortunes. They did not starve the people to pay for America’s industrialization. They gave the people better jobs, higher wages and cheaper goods with every new machine they invented, with every scientific discovery or technological advance—and thus the whole country was moving forward and profiting, not suffering, every step of the way." -- Ayn Rand

16) "We don’t have a trillion-dollar debt because we haven’t taxed enough; we have a trillion-dollar debt because we spend too much." -- Ronald Reagan

17) "Companies are not charitable enterprises: They hire workers to make profits." -- Paul Samuelson

18) "It is not from the benevolence of the butcher, the brewer, or the baker, that we expect our dinner, but from their regard to their own interest." -- Adam Smith

19) "Wherever there is great property, there is great inequality." -- Adam Smith

20) "Four things have almost invariably followed the imposition of controls to keep prices below the level they would reach under supply and demand in a free market: (1) increased use of the product or service whose price is controlled, (2) Reduced supply of the same product or service, (3) quality deterioration, (4) black markets." -- Thomas Sowell

21) "Politics offers attractive solutions but economics can offer only trade-offs. For example, when laws are proposed to restrict the height of apartment buildings in a community, politics presents the issue in terms of whether we prefer tall buildings or buildings of a more modest height in our town. Economics asks what you are prepared to trade off in order to keep the height of buildings below some specified level. In places where land costs may equal or even exceed the cost of the apartment buildings themselves, the difference between allowing ten-story buildings to be built and allowing a maximum of five stories may be that rents will be twice as high in the shorter buildings. The question then is not simply whether you prefer shorter buildings but how much do you prefer shorter buildings and what price are you prepared to pay to mandate height restrictions in your community. A doubling of rents and three additional highway fatalities per year? A tripling of rents and six additional highway fatalities per year? Economics cannot answer such questions. It can only make you aware of a need to ask them." -- Thomas Sowell

22) "In a small town, an idiot breaks a shop window. He’s called a vandal, until someone points out that a window installer now must be paid to replace the window. The window installer then will have enough money to buy a new suit. A tailor will then be able to buy a new desk. And so on. The whole town apparently gains from the economic activity generated by the broken window. Of course, if this made sense, cities should hire people to run though town, breaking windows.
But it doesn’t make sense. It’s a fallacy because the circulating money is seen; what is not seen is what would have been done with the money if the window were still whole. The shopkeeper, instead of paying the window installer, might have expanded his business, or bought a new suit or a new desk. The town is worse off because of a broken window." -- John Stossel

23) "A thousand restaurants close every month. They re-open, and that's good for America. Nobody's rescuing them. They employ people, too. If we let them go bankrupt, the factories don't go away, the creative people don't go away. They get employed more productively by others." -- John Stossel

24) "Suppose I hire you to repair my computer. The job is worth $200 to me and doing the job is worth $200 to you. The transaction will occur because we have a meeting of the mind. Now suppose there’s the imposition of a 30 percent income tax on you. That means you won’t receive $200 but instead $140. You might say the heck with working for me — spending the day with your family is worth more than $140. You might then offer that you’ll do the job if I pay you $285. That way your after-tax earnings will be $200 — what the job was worth to you. There’s a problem. The repair job was worth $200 to me, not $285. So it’s my turn to say the heck with it. This simple example demonstrates that one effect of taxes is that of eliminating transactions, and hence jobs." -- Walter Williams

25) "How many times have we heard ‘free tuition,’ ‘free health care,’ and free you-name-it? If a particular good or service is truly free, we can have as much of it as we want without the sacrifice of other goods or services. Take a ‘free’ library; is it really free? The answer is no. Had the library not been built, that $50 million could have purchased something else. That something else sacrificed is the cost of the library. While users of the library might pay a zero price, zero price and free are not one and the same. So when politicians talk about providing something free, ask them to identify the beneficent Santa Claus or tooth fairy." -- Walter Williams

Back To: Republicans Want Dirty Air and Dirty Water

The Democrat Leadership, such as it is, actually believe Republicans' agenda is to poison the air and water and kill babies. This is noting new, I first saw it on CSPAN in the 1980's in a debate. I think I remember Gephart and Dahshal as the Democrats, and one of them actually said Republicans want dirty air and water. I was stunned by the stupidity then, and I am now. This passes for debate and intelligence. Reid and Pelosi have replaced them, say the same stupid stuff, and get away with it in the Jurassic Press. Those two latter knuckleheads have also said people receiving food stamps and unemployment checks stimulates the economy.

Leftist Hateful Intolerant Gays Now Attacking Bakery

You can always count on Leftists to do what they claim they're against. Gays claim to be against intolerance yet tried to bring down Chick-fil-a because the CEO doesn't have the same religious belief as them. They did the same with a photographer in AZ. Now they're after a man in Colorado that owns a bakery, is Christian and believes in the Biblical definition of marriage like Dan Cathy (Chick-fil-a CEO).

The Leftist intolerant haters have signed an online petition to drive Jack Phillips, owner of the Masterpiece Cake Shop in Lakewood out of business and destroy his life.  A gay guy that has never patronized the bakery said, “By denying service to gay couples, they are essentially slapping us all in the face, and I simply cannot stand idly by while such shameful behavior is allowed to continue.” “I am not sure how the cakes taste, but I know bigotry and hate tastes disgusting.” I wonder if he cooks and bakes for himself, because it would all taste horrible because of his own intolerance, hatred and bigotry. Article here

This had started when David Mullins and Charlie Craig ordered a wedding cake, and Phillips informed them he doesn't make wedding cakes for gay couples, to which Mullins answered,   “f*** you and your homophobic cake shop.” Not only are Leftist gays intolerant bigots but uncivil too. There has to be a dozen or more bakeries in the area, and the civil\polite thing to do would be to use one of them.

Hateful intolerant Leftists, self centered on their own agenda seem to think it's okay to destroy the lives and businesses of people that disagree with them. Whether it's the "new atheists" suing totake down crosses (even those in the middle of nowhere), rampaging through cities destroying property, or trying to close down businesses, Leftists are all about hate and intolerance while accusing others of it. Good grief, they even get the home addresses of politicians and public officials and show up terrifying the neighborhoods and family of whoever it is they're hatin' on.

Leftists are forever lecturing Conservatives to be civil. They do believe they are superior in the Nietzschean sense, and the rules don't apply to them. It's the totalitarian mind set, officially represented by the Democrat Party. It's causing a major pushback. Leftist Blacks calling everyone a racist that doesn't accept their communist world view, gays set out to destroy families, and businesses and people that don't have their bigoted and hateful world view. If any "minority" or group feels discriminated against, it's not because of color or who you like to poke, it's because your hatred, bigotry and intolerance is being rejected. Citizens are fed up with it.

The End of Obamaland is at Hand

Even Leftists have to have jobs, feed their kids and pay for their housing. No amount of excuses and lies, spins and deceptions can cover the fact Obama's presidency is toast. Even during the summer, vacation time, no school time, generally play time for citizens, the unemployment numbers are glaringly bad. Over a $trillion a year is added to the debt. Energy and gas costs are up. Houses are loosing value. Food stamp dependence is up. Homelessness is up. He's attacked the Catholic Church. He and his political party have forced a health care program that less than half of citizens want or wanted. Doctors are beginning to leave their jobs. Health costs are rising. I think even Leftists are coming to the realization our country is in grave danger of cultural and economic collapse.

I suspect 40%-43% of the country will vote for devastation and failure no matter what. They will do so because Obama is black and\or believe in communist ideology. It's an amazing thing so many would rather live under tyranny rather than be free.

Obama came to office with his way paved by others, and didn't rise to power by merit. I'm reminded when I write this, he and the Democrats keep trying to make an issue of Romney's wealth, which was developed over a long period of time with great risk and investment, not to say a mastery of business and economics. Obama never invested anything of his own, never risked anything, and never mastered anything. He's a charlatan. That word comes from the French, a seller of medicines which do not work, a swindler that does this for money and fame. When caught, especially in America, they were run out of town, tarred and feathered. We're much more civilized now, Obama will simply be voted out of office. If what happened in the 2010 elections when over 60 House and Senate seats were lost by the Democrats, and the recent win by Ted Cruz in Texas, plus the win over government\Democrat supported union thugs in Wisconsin is an indicator taken seriously, it has to be Obama and the Dems recognize their backs are against the political wall.

Citizens can see, even feel, the failure of results generated by this president. They don't need to get in the weeds of economics and politics, all his violations of the Constitution he's engaged in, to know, this man is a failure, and his failures are dividing and destroying this country. By him and his party attacking what nearly everyone sees as a decent, hard working, successful businessman and family man; by attacking his wife and children, does not grow the respect for Obama that is needed for a win of the presidency. It's all because there is only failure and blame to run on, no successes to point to.

Even the Re-elect Obama Press can no longer cover what an incompetent fake Obama is. No complacency though. He's getting funds and support from totalitarians all over the world, the funds illegal of course, but the  law never stops this man-child. He and the Democrats will cheat, get a huge number of illegals to vote, and do anything they can to remain in power. The well being of the country be damned.

Religious Intolerance From Atheists

The Left is forever lecturing Conservatives and Christians to not ram our beliefs and values down their throats. No less is so than the "new atheists" whose level of bigotry and intolerance is worthy of Lenin and Stalin.

At one time being an atheist meant not believing in God and that was the end of it. Now they proselytize in a way worthy of Islamofacists.  Since they have no moral argument, and regular citizens don't pay so much attention to them, they use the communist front group ACLU to bully and berate legislators to pass laws excising religion from the land.
One could say this is unconstitutional since it violates the establishment clause; the government can't force a religion on the citizens.

They've been working forever to get the cross taken down from Soledad Mountain in San Diego. There's a cross in the middle of nowhere for lost soldiers Joshua National Park, another in the middle of forest they're trying to take down. One has to make a concerted effort to get to these places. Then there's the annual anti Christian campaign every Christmas.

Adding to this in the past few weeks are some more attacks, showing yet more intolerance and bigotry.

Prudhomme’s Lost Cajun Kitchen in Columbia, Lancaster County, PA has a Sunday promotion, that if you bring a church bulletin you get a 10% discount. An intolerant anti-Christian bigot atheist, John Wolff has filed a law suit that this violates the separation of church and state. It rankles every time I hear this since there is no such thing in the Constitution. I have a Leftist friend who is super smart in so many areas, that actually believes the establishment clause says the government protects citizens from religion. Wolff belongs to the hate group Freedom From Religion Foundation. Wolff by the way, does not live in the town the restaurant is in, and he's never eaten there.  Full article here.

In England several Catholic charities and hospitals have been shut down because Church leaders refuse to obey the secular anti Christian government's healthcare mandates. The same is beginning to happen here. This story happens in PA too; what's going on there?
Chosen 300 is a religious charity that feeds the homeless in Philadelphia.  The group feeds the homeless on the streets, and tries to get them indoors. They bring God's word to them too. The article doesn't state the move to stop them from feeding the homeless is generated by atheists, but I can bet if this were not a Christian group, there would be no beef. I can't imagine a Christian, Republican, TEA Party, or Conservative group suing to stop feeding the homeless. Article here.

The Freedom From Religion Foundation raises its head again in this third and final story. Steubenville, Ohio has a cross in its city logo. The intolerant hate group is suing to have it removed.  Horror of horrors, not only is there a cross but a chapel that is located on the property of  Franciscan University of Steubenville. As is often the case, cities do not have enough money to legally defend themselves from anti-constitutional, anti-Christian attacks and often have to back down. Someone has stepped up and will finance the defense of the logo. Article here.

While Leftist hate groups like  Freedom From Religion Foundation and Leftist gay groups claim to be all about tolerance, their actions prove they are not. They are willing and able to bankrupt cities and drive companies out of business, causing people to loose their jobs. The biggest example of this is Leftist attack on Chick-fil-a, trying to drive them out of business because the CEO said he believes in the Biblical definition of marriage. There it is. He's a Christian, so his company must be destroyed, he must be destroyed, and all the citizens that work for the company must be force into unemployment. Just because they don't agree with Atheist\Secularist's belief system.

Yet they are blind to their own hate and intolerance. It's the plight of Leftists everywhere. I've said before in this blog, if leftists say the opposition is doing it, or thinking it, then in fact they are the guilty ones, and lack the self honesty to admit it.

Chicken and Leftist Hate, Intolerance, Bigotry with Drive Through Guy Adam Smith

Leftist Hate, Intolerance, Bigotry
This is the vid of Adam Smith (his namesake was for freedom of religion and free speech, unlike this character) attacking Rachel at the drive through window on the support Chick-fil-a day . Like any good Leftist his intolerance and hatred overwhelms him. What he doesn't understand is the corporation is based on Christian principles, including being closed on Sundays, but most importantly all ethnicity's and gay people work there, and are served there. What the Left doesn't get about themselves is they are preaching anti hate while being hateful. If their attack on Chick-fil-a were successful and the citizens bought into it, then thousands of people throughout the country would loose their jobs, and they have nothing do to with the beliefs of CEO Dan Cathy, other than they benefit from them.

http://youtu.be/1RBzO1qJWb0

Here's the vid of Adam Smith apologizing to Rachel, and it's heartfelt and worthy of forgiveness. He does show in the second half of the vid he still doesn't get what this is about. This is about tolerance of a different point of view. The Left doesn't allow for free speech, which is why we have political correctness, why they try shutting down talk shows on radio and television, even to the point of trying to pass laws against their broadcasting (The Fairness Act).

http://youtu.be/nmP9Shki6_I

I'm saddened to hear some knuckleheads are sending hate mail to Smith. Jeeeez, just stop it people. I'm saddened the Left is so blinded by bigotry, hatred and intolerance they don't see their own.
