May each of you have the heart to conceive, the understanding to direct, and the hand to execute works that will leave the world a little better for your having been here. -- Ronald Reagan

Memorial Day Tribute

From MacArthur's Farewell Speech to West Point. The whole speech is as moving and profound as anything you'll ever read or hear about our military and those lost.

Their story is known to all of you. It is the story of the American man at arms. My estimate of him was formed on the battlefields many, many years ago, and has never changed. I regarded him then, as I regard him now, as one of the world's noblest figures; not only as one of the finest military characters, but also as one of the most stainless.

His name and fame are the birthright of every American citizen. In his youth and strength, his love and loyalty, he gave all that mortality can give. He needs no eulogy from me, or from any other man. He has written his own history and written it in red on his enemy's breast.

But when I think of his patience under adversity, of his courage under fire, and of his modesty in victory, I am filled with an emotion of admiration I cannot put into words. He belongs to history as furnishing one of the greatest examples of successful patriotism. He belongs to posterity as the instructor of future generations in the principles of liberty and freedom. He belongs to the present, to us, by his virtues and by his achievements.

In twenty campaigns, on a hundred battlefields, around a thousand campfires, I have witnessed that enduring fortitude, that patriotic self-abnegation, and that invincible determination which have carved his statue in the hearts of his people.

From one end of the world to the other, he has drained deep the chalice of courage. As I listened to those songs of the glee club, in memory's eye I could see those staggering columns of the First World War, bending under soggy packs on many a weary march, from dripping dusk to drizzling dawn, slogging ankle deep through mire of shell-pocked roads; to form grimly for the attack, blue-lipped, covered with sludge and mud, chilled by the wind and rain, driving home to their objective, and for many, to the judgment seat of God.

I do not know the dignity of their birth, but I do know the glory of their death. They died unquestioning, uncomplaining, with faith in their hearts, and on their lips the hope that we would go on to victory. Always for them: Duty, Honor, Country. Always their blood, and sweat, and tears, as they saw the way and the light.

And twenty years after, on the other side of the globe, against the filth of dirty foxholes, the stench of ghostly trenches, the slime of dripping dugouts, those boiling suns of the relentless heat, those torrential rains of devastating storms, the loneliness and utter desolation of jungle trails, the bitterness of long separation of those they loved and cherished, the deadly pestilence of tropic disease, the horror of stricken areas of war.

Some Christian Resolutions

From "The Secret Dairy of Elizabeth Leseur":

"For Myself. To be very severe. To maintain energetically as the basis of my whole exterior life the practices of my spiritual life: daily prayer, meditation, Communion as frequently as possible. These things are such a great sweetness and source of life to the soul. To accept troubles, sadness, suffering, and to practice voluntary mortification, all in the spirit of penance and reparation, and for souls.

For Others: Not to speak of myself and my spiritual life, to keep silence about my good deeds. To be simple, true, always humble. To maintain calm always and never to betray physical suffering, anguish, or sadness. To be friendly and full of sympathy for men and ideas, to try to enter into and understand them. To be kind, with that true kindness that comes not from the lips but from the heart. To devote myself, to pour myself out, all without excitement or useless dispersion.

And in view of a greater good and for a higher purpose, even to watch over my bearing and my dress; to make myself attractive for our good God's sake. To make my home pleasant, that it may be a center of good and salutary influence; to let diverse spirits and hearts congregate there and to make every effort to raise and enlighten them.

To sum up: To reserve for God alone the depths of my soul and my interior life as a Christian. To give to others serenity, charm, kindness, useful words and deeds. To make Christian truth loved through me, but to speak of it only at an explicit demand or at a need so clear as to seem truly providential. To preach by prayer, sacrifice, and example. To be austere to myself, and as attractive as possible to others."

Psalm 8

For the director of music. According to gittith [a].

A psalm of David.

1 O LORD, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory
above the heavens.

2 From the lips of children and infants
you have ordained praise [b]
because of your enemies,
to silence the foe and the avenger.

3 When I consider your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,

4 what is man that you are mindful of him,
the son of man that you care for him?

5 You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings [c]
and crowned him with glory and honor.

6 You made him ruler over the works of your hands;
you put everything under his feet:

7 all flocks and herds,
and the beasts of the field,

8 the birds of the air,
and the fish of the sea,
all that swim the paths of the seas.

9 O LORD, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!

Pass Me Not, O Gentle Savior - Red Mountain Church (vid)

Written in 1868. Taking comfort in the message and simplicity of an old hymn.

We're All Players on the Stage

Don't remember what caused it, but I was reminded of this last night. Only the first line is ever mentioned, but the rest is notable. From one of my favorite Plays.

"All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages. At first the infant,
Mewling and puking in the nurse's arms;
And then the whining school-boy, with his satchel
And shining morning face, creeping like snail
Unwillingly to school. And then the lover,
Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad
Made to his mistress' eyebrow. Then a soldier,
Full of strange oaths, and bearded like the pard,
Jealous in honour, sudden and quick in quarrel,
Seeking the bubble reputation
Even in the cannon's mouth. And then the justice,
In fair round belly with good capon lin'd,
With eyes severe and beard of formal cut,
Full of wise saws and modern instances;
And so he plays his part. The sixth age shifts
Into the lean and slipper'd pantaloon,
With spectacles on nose and pouch on side;
His youthful hose, well sav'd, a world too wide
For his shrunk shank; and his big manly voice,
Turning again toward childish treble, pipes
And whistles in his sound. Last scene of all,
That ends this strange eventful history,
Is second childishness and mere oblivion;
Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything."

More Arizona and Illegal Immigration-A Picture is Worth...

The Beautiful Sonoran Desert being cared for by illegal aliens, respecting our country and environment. This is on an 'illegal super - highway' from Mexico to the USA (Tucson) used by human smugglers. This area is located in a wash, approximately 1.5 miles long, just south of Tucson, Arizona. It is estimated over 5,000 discarded backpacks are in this wash. Countless water containers, food wrappers, clothing, feces, including thousands of soiled baby diapers. These people are coming soon to a city near you.

After they get to your city, here's how they act. These are from a pro-Mexico, anti-American rally at Montebello High School in California. Where are the teachers and school administrators? They allowed these anti-American people to put a foreign flag above the Stars and Stripes? Meanwhile in another high school across the country, American citizens that are high school students got sent home for wearing US patriotic clothing.

Judge Thinks Sexual Sadists Should Get Light Sentences-Obama Nominates for Promotion

Not only has Obama nominated for the Supreme Court a woman that states the Constitution allows government to limit free speech, but he's nominated this creep, Judge Robert N. Chatigny to the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. This has graphic language by a serial killer, juxtaposed with the Senate confirmation hearings. Obama has stated he want's judges with empathy (inferring, I guess, lesser adherence to the law). Do you really want a judge that thinks sexual sadists should get light sentences? What the hell are we doing as a country that judges like this even keep their jobs, let alone get promotions?

“But looking at the record in a light most favorable to Mr. Ross, he never should have been convicted. Or if convicted, he never should have been sentenced to death because his sexual sadism, which was found by every single person who looked at him, is clearly a mitigating factor… He can sit on his hands and sit mute and he may find not only that the death sentence is set aside, he may find the death penalty has been abolished. He may find that he gets the life sentence that he has repeatedly said he would take in an instant if it was offered to him.”

In Honor of Pentecost, The Birth of the Christian Church

From Acts: When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they we sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. And there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven. And when this sound occurred, the multitude came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language. Then they were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, "Look, are not all these who speak Galileans? And how is it that we hear each in our own language in in which we were born? Parthians and Medes and Elamites, those dwelling Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia. Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya adjoining Cyrene. Visitors from Rome, both Jew and Proselytes, Cretans and Arabs--we hear them speaking in our own tongues the wonderful works of God." So they were all amazed and perplexed, saying to one another "Whatever could this mean?"

The story goes on, but this is the beginning of Our Church, marking the coming of the Holy Spirit.

Some Questions for "Brights" (Atheists)

The new militant, proselytizing atheist movement, instead of just saying they don't believe there's a God and stopping there, spend a lot of time insulting us "Dulls". If you haven't been paying attention, that's what Believers are called by them. I really don't care if someone doesn't believe in God, but I do care when lies and insults are thrown about.

As a "Dull" I have some questions for our "Bright" friends. I need to have these explained to me, to us (believers), because we're unintelligent, weak, and believe in fairy tales.

First question is how does insulting people that believe something different add to the discussion of the existence of God? Does being insulting help prove God doesn't exist?

Second question is how to justify the claim that atheists in charge would have better results than "Dulls" have had? (During this questioning I'm focusing on Judaism and Christianity because that's my religious tradition.) The atheist regimes in history brought Fascist Italy, Nazi Germany, Communist Soviet Union, and Communist China, to name the big ones. I saw one defense of this observation stating Hitler was a Catholic, so he was (secretly) religious; as if that explained it all. I don't think being a member of a church makes anyone a Christian any more that sitting in the garage makes one a car. David Berlinski: "What Hitler did not believe and what Stalin did not believe and what Mao did not believe and what the SS did not believe and what the Gestapo did not believe and what the NKVD did not believe and what the commissars, functionaries, swaggering executioners, Nazi doctors, Communist Party theoreticians, intellectuals, Brown Shirts, Black Shirts, gauleiteres, and a thousand party hacks did not believe was that God was watching what they were doing." Anything bad we "Dulls" have done doesn't even come close to the results of these "Bright" regimes.

On the flip side of that is good works. Why do "Dulls" give more than "Brights"? I'm thinking of all that charitable work, and charitable organizations that the "Dulls" have founded and support. Hospitals, shelters, feeding the poor, paying attention to prisoners, universities, ending slavery, civil rights ("Dull" Christian Minister Martin Luther King), actually a whole range of things that improve the plight of humanity. I remember a "Bright" say after the worst of cleaning up after Katrina was done, that mostly what he saw were Christians and their organizations helping. (Note that the government wasn't of much help.) He said he had to hand it to them, they were there when needed, and the "Brights" really didn't help out that much, if at all. Christians have given $billions to the suffering and poor all over the world. "Dulls" give far more than "Brights" in charitable donations. Lots of stats from many sources bear this out. "Dulls" volunteer far more than "Brights". The question is, what's to recommend, what evidence is there, that "Brights" care for others? Or don't "Brights" care about others? I know some individuals do, but as a group or movement? Not so much. Side note here. "Brights" are all for governments taking care of people in trouble, just not them personally, and taking money from others to do it, which in turn empowers the Nazi, Fascist, Socialist, Communist expression of "Brights".

God made it quite clear to us "Dulls" that service to others is job one. Question to "Brights", what is your job one?

Next question is about the arts. "Dulls" have some incredible architecture, music so lovely I tear up, literature that takes the breath away with its expressions, paintings and sculptures that's so gorgeous it make one's eyes glow with appreciation, philosophy that really forces us to think about how we relate to life, nature, each other. The question is, what have "Brights" provided us in architecture, painting, literature, music, philosophy, sculpture? What aesthetics have "Brights" provided us that compares?

Back to insults. I've noticed when engaged in dialectic, when an opponent begins loosing ground, insults happen, from them. Another tactic is to point out something singular, and event or person, as if that's of consequence.

Answers to the questions here I'm sure will clear things up, and help us "Dulls" understand better why "Brights" have so much more to offer, and why we should denounce God.

Dark Hearts and Churches

I was saddened to read about a church in Georgia that had between $200,000 and $400,000 stolen over a 10-year period by a church secretary. Victory Fellowship in Bremen, Georgia has about 250 members. That amount of money for a church that size is a beyond a huge loss. Our church experienced the same thing, and I don't think we've ever fully recovered. Both the Georgia church and ours caught and prosecuted the respective church secretaries, but the money will never be recovered.

I think, as Christians, there's an implicit trust of people of the Faith. We also tend to see the good in others first. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it sometimes causes us to lose the Biblical view that we humans have dark hearts. That's part of what the story of the "Fall" is about. We were made in God's likeness, and have a choice to grow in it, or reject God. Mankind rejected God and as a result we have dark hearts. We become self important and God gets diminished.

We have alienated ourselves from God. At the core of all our human problems is this. Not poverty, lack of 'social justice', ignorance, or anything else you want to pin it on. It is that we've rejected the pure Spirit of God. We have rejected pure Love. We have put ourselves before Him. Secularists and atheists, advocating for the separation from God in the first instance, and atheists denial, only take us back to the worst times of human history. Paganism does not value human life at all. At least Judaism and Christianity teach to love, care for, and value others.

The story of the flood, whether you believe it happened or not, is about how Man can become so vile and disgusting we shouldn't really exist. That's sad. People of Faith work away from that the best we can, and tend to trust people that we perceive are trying live more in an imitation of Christ. Sadly, as in these cases of theft, our dark hearts are always there, always an influence. We are all sinners. Sadly, even among people of Faith, we must be aware of our nature, and be constantly vigilant of harm people will do to ourselves and the institutions we cherish.

Some Thoughts On Working

There's the songs; 'working for the weekend', 'livin' on what their given 'cause I'm workin' for a livin', which probably sums up most people's view of work.

Most of us work because we need a paycheck. Others more driven (for the most part) have work that pays and they enjoy. Of course there are those that luck into something that they enjoy and pays. There are people who's job defines them; they would be lost souls without that work structure. There are some who put work before friends, family and any kind of personal life. I'm sad for those. They don't take to heart the adage, "No one was their death bed wishing they had spent more time at the office."

The question is, do you identify with your work? Are you expressing God's will, being fruitful with the talents you've been gifted with? Dorothy Sayers: "It is only when work has to be looked on as a means to gain that it becomes hateful; for then, instead of a friend, it becomes an enemy from whom tolls and contributions have to be extracted." Many of us I think are experiencing this, maybe not to the level of hateful, but we do feel our jobs to be an enemy that extracts from us.

Sayer's again: "Work is not, primarily, a thing one does to live, but the thing one lives to do. It is, or it should be, the full expression of the worker’s faculties, the thing in which he finds spiritual, mental and bodily satisfaction, and the medium in which he offers himself to God.”

I have to wonder about this. I have a passion for writing, someone else maybe for painting, someone else fixing cars. Few, I think, are doing for income something they live to do. Most are in positions of doing something to live. I would love to sit home, research and write for a living. Were we all to do those things that were an expression of our faculties, we would probably be in a financially impoverished society. The result of that would be all but the very few just struggling to survive. I remember a man calling in to Dr. Laura, that had quit his job as a banker. He hated the job, so took a lesser paying one that he liked. It was causing hardship on his family, and was creating an emotional rift within his marriage. Dr. Laura advised him we don't necessarily have to like our work, but that work is there to provide other things. Providing for his family should be his priority, not doing what he liked.

It's a good thing, within reason, we are forced into working at things we don't so much like. I've been soldier, sailor, lifeguard, librarian, delivery driver, customer service rep, roughneck, to name a few. Most of those were to stay alive (lifeguard and librarian were waaay fun though). I have to define work as something else than a job.

My relationship with God defines my work. I have a moral obligation to provide the best quality I can to whatever company I work for. It, like religion, is all about service. Work, as CS Lewis points out, is to provide leisure time. "We wage war in order to have peace; we work in order to have leisure." There hasn't always been leisure time for most people for most of civilization. Jews and Christians provided us with Sabbath days, leisure days to rest and worship, giving us those much focused on days off. No leisure days before that. As we become a more secular society, the rest and relaxation part takes precedent, at our peril as a society. My secular friends will of course disagree, but I'll put aside my winning argument until later.

Actually, my work is God's work all the time. Since God informs my behavior and thoughts, I'm working, in a sense all the time. I get physical breaks. As a Christian, and people know that I am, my actions are always a testament; people don't want to hear Christian talk about God; big turn off. So in a way, Sayers is right. Work is something I live to do, if I understand I'm serving all through God's will. I witness God's goodness though my job, through work, through whatever I volunteer for. Whatever I do in that light, brings me "spiritual, mental and bodily satisfaction, and the medium in which he [I] offers himself [myself] to God.”

My job, as stressful and frustrating as it is sometimes, does provide me the leisure to rest and worship.

The Bible has a lot of observations about work.

"Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant, nor your animals, nor the alien within your gates."

"Six days do your work, but on the seventh day do not work, so that your ox and your donkey may rest and the slave born in your household, and the alien as well, may be refreshed."

"He has filled them with skill to do all kinds of work as craftsmen, designers, embroiderers in blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen, and weavers—all of them master craftsmen and designers."

"He who works his land will have abundant food, but he who chases fantasies lacks judgment."

"All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty."

"The sluggard's craving will be the death of him, because his hands refuse to work."

"Whoever loves money never has money enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with his income."

"For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men."

If I keep always in my heart and mind, my work is my testament of my love of God, then my work is my fulfillment of God's gifts given me.

We Don't Need To Enforce No Stinkin' Laws Unless We Feel Like It

Mission statement from the ICE website: "U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Formed in 2003 as part of the federal government's response to the 9/11 attacks, ICE's mission is to protect the security of the American people and homeland by vigilantly enforcing the nation's immigration and customs laws."

Today, John Morton, assistant secretary of homeland security for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said: "I don't think the Arizona law, or laws like it, are the solution." He said that the law is "not good government".

This guy is the top cop, the honcho law enforcement officer, saying he's not going to carry out the mission of ICE or enforce immigration law. Reminder: the Arizona immigration law, SB 1070, only mirrors Federal immigration laws that have existed since the 1940's.

Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-AL: "If he feels he cannot enforce the law, he shouldn't have the job." "That makes him, in my view, not fulfilling the responsibilities of his office." Exactly.

We should hardly be surprised that a member of pro-illegal immigration, pro open border, pro amnesty Democrat party, is not going enforce the law. After all, this guy's boss, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, said there's no problem in Arizona, everything is hunky dory. Earlier blog here about the problems Arizona is having (kidnapping, murder, rape, drugs, etc. on a massive destructive scale) and Napolitano's severe mental condition of denial or flat out lying.

Here's another thing about what Obama, Napalitano, an undersecretary of state (can't remember his name right now), US Attorney General Eric Holder, the last three admitting they have not read SB 1070 (a whole 16 pages long!), saying state cops will be running around, racial profiling, locking people up, and doing whatever else these knuckleheads think cops do. Like cops are a bunch of racists that have nothing better to do than harass non-white people. That's a pretty demeaning representation of officers of the law.

These Statists do not believe in the rule of law, they believe in the rule of man, but only if they are the ones in charge. So of course this Morton character can refuse to enforce the law, and get a pass by Dems and their lap dinosaurs in the Jurassic Press.

News I Came Home To Today

We are already at 9.9% unemployment, and unemployment claims rose to 471,000, up by 25,000 since last week. Of course, "experts" say this was "unexpected". I want to be an expert too. I can be wrong about everything all the time, say "unexpected" and given a pass. Ten percent unemployment, the Dems say that's acceptable, and we'll have to learn to live with it. Really, that's their talking points. When a Republican occupies the White House they scream bloody murder when it approaches 5%. Old people are starving and eating dog food! Homelessness is skyrocketing! (Have you seen any homeless reports this last year?) Babies are dying of malnutrition! Dem in White House? Hey, 10% ain't so bad, learn to live with it.

The stock market plummeted "unexpectedly" by about 250 points. Bad economic news for socialist Europe, jobless rate increase here, and the Dems monkeying around with "comprehensive financial reform" of Wall Street. Boy, Dems monkeying around with anyone's money will make financial markets jittery.

Consumer confidence indicators are down. "Unexpectedly." Company wholesale orders are down, requests for new homes down. Foreclosures are up not just for people given homes by the sub-prime debacle, but with middle class regular folks. Then again, those people are probably sympathetic to the Tea Party Movement, so really, not a big deal.

Meanwhile, last night the Obama's had a big soirée with movie stars and Hollywood celebrities, spending $millions of tax payers money. The justification was to entertain the America insulting Mexican President Calderone. Beyonce performed! O boy! Of course the Jurassic Press was all a'twitter about Michelle's 'new' hairstyle and most amazing blue gown. (How many hair styles can she have?) Then again I remember all the Statists were excited every time Hillary adjusted her golden locks. Remember when Nancy Reagan dressed nicely, how she was excoriated by the Jurassic Press? Her stuff didn't cost near as much as Michelle's.

I'm looking at all these disasters, the American people are facing a really bad situation, and the Obama's have a big ol' bash. Party on dudes!

Man Invited to Dinner Insults Host's Family, Host Agrees With Him

Calderone, President of corrupt Mexico that beats, murders, robs, tortures, imprisons and expels people that come into that country illegally, has it's citizens come across our border that in turn kidnaps, rapes, robs and murders American citizens, runs drugs and guns, then comes to this country and insults our citizens. Our president agrees with Calderone's insults, and the Dems gave him a standing O. Calderone owes the citizens of this country an apology, and should not be allowed back in the US until he does so. Obama owes the American people an apology for allowing a foreigner, guest to this country, to say such vile lies about America and its people, and agreeing. Calderone said these things at a press conference yesterday, and repeated them before Congress today, before what are supposed to be representatives of the American people. Every Democrat that stood and cheered this political attack on the citizens of America should be censured.

Mexico gets $millions from American tax revenues in the form of foreign aid, makes $millions from sales to the US, makes $millions from money made in America by Mexican citizens working here that send money back. About 1 in 7 of Mexico's citizens leave that horrid corrupt murderous country and comes to the US. That's nearly 10% of their population! Mexico would be in even worse shape if it weren't for the United States. The president of Mexico should be thanking the American people. He should be beefing up his military on the border to help protect American citizens living there. He should be cleaning up his government and applying economic principals that make his country worth living in, to employ his own citizens. I'm so disgusted with Obama and the rest of his Statist bunch, and President Calderone, that I could just scream.

Calderon's speech. Notice all the Dems give a standing O when he insults the state of Arizona. I'm pleased that no Republicans applauded; even the RINO's! The rest of the stuff about wanting to improve his country and work with the US to solve the problem is a flat out lie. He, like Obama and the Dems, want open borders and amnesty to all the Mexicans living here illegally. That's what they all mean when they say "comprehensive immigration reform".

Here's the correct response.

Dems and Straight Talk Campaign for 2010

Looking at how the Dems are activating their policies, wouldn't be great if they campaigned on what they were doing; not doing and saying they aren't doing it? I know, a bit convoluted, but you'll get the drift here in a minute.

They way they have attacked Arizona, trying to destroy and impoverish American citizens that live there, advocating for the violation of immigration law, and being pro illegal immigration. Here's what they should be saying during their campaign: We advocate for the repeal of existing Federal immigration law. We advocate for open borders so there won't be any illegal immigration. We think anyone that came to this country illegally be given citizenship and registered as a Democrat immediately.

Dems were and are for, TARP, the Bailout, stimulus package, largess to Goldman Sachs and hiring their execs into positions of gov't power, the buying of private companies with printed money and (not yet received) taxes. The US has the highest (maybe second highest) Corporate tax rate in the world. They should be saying in next election: We believe in a weak private sector controlled by government, and all corporate profits should go to the government.

Taxes go up for the half of the country that pay taxes for the non-producing half every time Democrats are in power. The campaign: The money you make belongs to the government, and we'll decide how much of it you get to keep. We have to keep our constituents housed and fed.

Dems are against drilling for oil, oil exploration, coal power, nuclear power, building refineries. They should run on: We know alternative energy sources are really expensive and inefficient, but we are stopping all production of traditional energy sources. Only Venezuela, Vietnam, China and Cuba will be allowed to drill in the Gulf of Mexico. We will agree to pay whatever price they set. GE will be the sole provider of Green Energy and Energy products and services.

Dems have been criticizing Israel and giving a pass to Iran's nuclear armament programs, and not really blaming Hamas, PLO and those guys for much of anything. Dems should just campaign on: We support Terrorist States, and do not support democratic states in the Middle East. We do not support Israel defending itself, and will require they disarm. They are the true threat to Middle East peace.

Dems are for the Fairness Doctrine, and their Supreme Court nominee doesn't think the Constitution allows free speech (really, it's in a published paper she wrote). The Fairness Doctrine is about killing conservative media outlets, and anti-free speech Kagan they wholehearted support. They should campaign: We advocate for an amendment to the Constitution enumerating powers to the government to limit free speech.

Dems passed health care. Honest people, ones that have read the bill, know that it removes all private/personal choice regarding health issues from people. They should campaign: Gov't medical care is the best way, that politicians and government workers know best what medical issues are most important, and how to deal with them. Abortion should be government funded because it is a health issue.

These and a few others, campaign on them, make them a part of the Party Platform, and Dems will absolutely be swept into power unopposed. They're already doing these things, they should just say this is what they're doing. Come on now. Be honest. It's good for you.

Golden Wieners

Statist government critters often personally attack people in the private sector that oppose them. Clinton, for example, famously blamed Rush Limbaugh for the Oklahoma bombing. Obama has made it his stock and trade, applying Alinsky's rules for radicals, to marginalize any opposition. The Weiner's attack here is on Mark Levin, Rush Limbaugh, Laura Ingram, Jerry Doyle to name a few. The main focus of the attack is Glenn Beck. Are there any Liberal talk show hosts that advertise gold? I know, there's very few of them because they have all been monumental failures, but I digress.

The latest of these attacks is from Rep. Anthony Weiner of New York. Goldline is a company that sells precious metals in bars and coins. The Wiener is attacking specifically Radio and TV talk show hosts for advertising them, or advocating for buying gold or some such thing. The Weiner will be having press conference or something calling for all sorts of federal trade investigations, criminal investigations, and is implicating other conservative talkers as nefarious capital running dogs. His pre-press press release: "The company has formed an unholy alliance with conservative pundits to drive a false narrative and play off public fears in order to sell its products." He's calling for all sorts of congressional investigations too.

He's claiming that conservative talkers are driving up the price of gold, driving down the value of the dollar, killing the US economy etc. (Of course a massive debt build up, high unemployment, record foreclosures and all that have nothing to do with it.) Statists have never seen a successful private enterprise they've liked, unless it's somebody they can extort or who gives them money voluntarily, like lobbyists (that the Bamster was going to drive out of town but didn't). The Weiner: "...rips off consumers, uses misleading and possibly illegal sales tactics, and deliberately manipulates public fears of an impending government takeover." The Weiner to Politico.com: "This industry goes beyond Goldline, but the Goldline circle has been particularly cynical in its cultivation of these conservative commentators." "There are two industries that are intertwined here in this cynical play: the media industry and the online gold industry, and there is a lot of blame to go around."

Goldline has given an A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau. The Wiener has not addressed other gold dealers that have an "F" rating. Not a word.

The Winer has his little hot buns in a bit of a pickle as it turns out. The Federal Election Commission (FEC) has him under investigation for campaign fraud, with his group "Friends of Weiner". There's $47,000.00 fine (“civil penalty”), called Matters Under Review (MUR), by the FEc because of some kind of financial shenanigans, and another MUR for a $28,000 illegal loan made by his parents to his campaign.

This guy is another corrupt politician. This is one wiener we'd like to see roasted.

21st Century Mindless Man

Two views of nations, immigration and borders, offered by two presidents, each at the beginning of their perspective century's.

In a letter just before he died dated in 1919:
"In the first place we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the man's becoming in very fact an American, and nothing but an American...

There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag, and this excludes the red flag, which symbolizes all wars against liberty and civilization, just as much as it excludes any foreign flag of a nation to which we are hostile...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

--Theodore Roosevelt, 1919

Barak Obama, today: "We are Not Defined by Our Borders"

Barry Sotero, ummm, I mean Barak Obama, is a citizen of the world and doesn't believe in borders. Except maybe the borders of any property he owns.

During this ceremony El Presidente Calderone insulted the citizens of the US, especially the citizens of Arizona for being racists and whatever the Statist talking points are. Our president agrees with him. Of course there are thousands of people in Mexico that have been beaten, robbed, tortured and thrown in prison to rot for violating their immigration laws. If you're lucky when you're caught without papers coming up across the southern border of corrupt drug cartel governed Mexico, you may only be beaten and robbed by the Federales before being tossed back across the border.

Love this idea: Reciprocal immigration laws. If you come to the US, you have to do so applying the same laws as your country of origin. If you're a Mexican here illegally, our cops can throw you in jail without due process, lawyers, notification of anyone, etc. Just for example.

Ronnie James Dio - A Tribute

Dio had one of the most incredible voices in rock 'n roll. He could hold a power note forever, just keep it rolling. I was always an admirer of his talent, and I had the good fortune to have met him a couple times. My brother Paul told me when I was in LA this past Christmas, that Ronnie was in the hospital with stomach cancer. That kind of cancer is overwhelmingly deadly.

Paul was his lighting and stage designer for the group "Dio", and for "Heaven and Hell". Dio's musical legacy is amazing. He was lead singer for Rainbow with guitarist extraordinaire Ritchie Blackmore, after Blackmore left Deep Purple. He replaced Ozzie Osborne as lead singer of Black Sabbath, which, I hear, outsold Black Sabbath with Ozzie. I'll skip looking up the numbers. The first album Dio sang on as a member of Black Sabbath was "Heaven and Hell". That later became the name of the group to separate the two Black Sabbaths.

It was with the self titled group "Dio" during the Eighties that a friendship formed between my brother and Ronnie that lasted since then, about 30 years. Paul got married in LA and Ronnie was best man. Paul and I met Ronnie at a bar before the wedding that was near the wedding site, had a couple beers then headed over. It was a funny wedding, in an outdoor garden in the middle of LA, with an ancient minister. Afterward we went to the apartment, and there was an unending supply of champagne. Ronnie started doing impersonations of Paul, and I was laughing so hard my gut and cheeks hurt. Ronnie was a funny funny man.

Paul hit a bad spot in his life, and at one time landed back in the US from Europe without money and no place to go. Ronnie and his wife Wendy flew Paul out to LA, gave him a place to stay, and helped him reestablish himself. Ronnie was a most generous, loving and helpful guy. We sometimes forget that superstars are just people too, with all the same experiences, triumphs and failures, loves and sufferings, that the rest of us have.

I met Ronnie a couple other times over the years, and he was always gracious, friendly and kind.

Sometime in the mid-Eighties, Dad came down to San Diego where I was living, and he went to the Dio concert. Dio is the one that made the 'devil horn' hand sign famous, and I remember Dad standing on the center riser where the light and sound boards were, making the 'devil horns' sign and, with the rest of the crowed, chanting, "Dio, Dio, Dio..." and just laughing. A great moment.
When our Dad died, Paul and I were in LA, and Dio's song "Last in Line" came on the radio. I was driving, and Paul and I just kinda looked at each other. We were. I was so overcome with emotion I almost had an accident.

Here's to Ronnie Dio. Amazing Man, Amazing Singer, Amazing Musical Legacy.

Climategate - How the Science of Global Warming Was Compromised

~ “LETTERS FROM EUROPE” - by Rob (Wind Rose Hotel) ~

It was James Delingpole who, on his Telegraph blog, coined the term “Climategate” to describe the scandal revealed by the leaked emails from the University of East Anglia’s Climatic Research Unit, namely, the conspiracy behind the Anthropogenic Global Warming myth, and the greatest scientific scandal of our age. “The reason why even the Guardian's George Monbiot has expressed total shock and dismay at the picture revealed by the documents,” he said, “is that their authors are not just any old bunch of academics. Their importance cannot be overestimated, What we are looking at here is the small group of scientists who have for years been more influential in driving the worldwide alarm over global warming than any others, not least through the role they play at the heart of the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).”

To refresh everyone’s memory on what this whole thing is all about, here is the accurate reconstruction of what happened provided by Spiegel Online International, the English edition of the German news magazine Der Spiegel: How the Science of Global Warming Was Compromised (and how the conflict between climate researchers and climate skeptics could be resolved).

One more tip for those looking for a different perspective on the climate debate than the MSM gives you: be sure to tune in to PJTV.com/ICCC: LIVE coverage of the Heartland Institute’s 4th Annual International Conference on Climate Change (ICCC-4)—a worldwide gathering of global warming “realists”—on May 16-18 (direct interviews with participants and live streaming the keynote speakers).

Today is Armed Forces Day - A Tribute

Today is Armed Forces Day. Established by Harry Truman in 1949, first celebrated May 20, 1950, to honor all the military services on the same day, so citizens can thank all of them for their service and sacrifice. This year's theme for the day is "United in Strength". The first theme in 1950 was “Teamed for Defense” to recognize all the services unified under the Dept of Defense.

Here is a tribute to the Armed Services by some third graders. We like this.

Copy Machines, a Security Risk? Who Knew? (vid)

Please excuse the ad up front. Very informative story.

Illegal Immigration in Perspective

If you cross the North Korean border illegally you get 12 years hard labor.

If you cross the Iranian border illegally you are detained indefinitely.

If you cross the Afghan border illegally, you get shot.

If you cross the Saudi Arabian border illegally you will be jailed.

If you cross the Chinese border illegally you may never be heard from again.

If you cross the Venezuelan border illegally you will be branded a spy and your fate will be sealed.

If you cross the Cuban border illegally you will be thrown into political prison to rot.

If you cross the U.S. border illegally you get:

a job,
a drivers license,
social security card,
welfare,
food stamps,
credit cards,
subsidized rent or a loan to buy a house,
free education,
free health care,
a lobbyist in washington
billions of dollars worth of public documents printed in your language
the right to carry your country's flag while you protest that you don't get enough respect
and, in many instances, you can vote.

Obama Asks for Some Cheese and Crackers to Go with His Whine

I had written in February of 2009, the second month of Obama's administration here, about his whining about the mess he's inherited. If someone takes a job, saying he can do it better, then end of story. Good leaders never badmouth who they replace. It's bad form to say the least.

It shows a serious lack of leadership when year and four months after assuming the position, that Obama is still blaming Bush and Republicans for the problems we're having. Speaking in Buffalo, NY, yesterday, he did just that. He said that he and his party moved "quickly" to fix the financial problems when he came to power, and that the whole time he's been in office Republicans have been doing their best to "gum up the works". Note to Obama, Republicans have no power. Both houses of Congress controlled by Dems, with him in the executive branch, and the judicial branch pretty much makes socialist rulings from the bench.

Republicans could not and cannot stop him and he got, and gets, his way, things get worse, and it's somebody else's fault? What, if Republicans had voted for all his socialist programs they would have worked?

Reagan came into office facing a worse situation. Unemployment was double digit, inflation was double digit, the military had been gutted, Carter had been talking about the 'cultural malaise', and interest rates were double digit (at one point 21.5%). All that and Congress was Democrat controlled. He didn't say one word about his predecessor, or whine about the mess he inherited. During his administration, while not bad mouthing his opposition or his predecessor, the economy grew by 31%, manufacturing grew by 48%, 18.4 million jobs were created, per capita income grew by 20%, and exports grew by 92.6%. He did this with the Democrats controlling both houses of Congress and opposing him every step of the way.

Obama on his opposition: "Their basic attitude has been, if Democrats lose, we win. After they drove the car in the ditch, made it as difficult as possible for us to pull it back, now they want the keys back. No. They can't drive. We don't want to have to go back in the ditch."

Obama and the Dems believe increased government control, higher tax rates and increased spending, printing and borrowing money is the solution. Republicans believe the opposite (with the exception of some RINO's). A reminder here that the Democrats from the 1930's to the present have controlled Congress, with the exception of a couple times, in the 1950's and 1990's. Over two thirds of a century of Democrat control. The Republicans lost the last two election cycles because they became Dem Lite, not because they opposed the Dems.

In the same vein as Obama whining, have you noticed the Dems whining about the Gulf oil spill? They are saying it's Bush, Cheney and Halliburton's fault. I even read the comments of some knucklehead congressman that it was Reagan's fault!

Waawaaawaaaa.....grow up and take responsibility people. You said you could do a better job, and you're not, so don't blame others for your incompetence and bad policies.

Gov Chris Christie Tellin' It Like It Is

Exactly the kind of straight talking politicians we need.

Gov Christie calls S-L columnist thin-skinned for inquiring about his 'confrontational tone'

I Don't Need to Read No Stinkin' Law

Our Attorney General, Eric Holder, the guy that let go Black Panther thugs that stood outside a voting venue and threatened white voters away, but prosecuted three Navy Seals for doing their job and capturing a really really bad guy, has been all over the Arizona immigration bill, criticizing it with all the racial BS Statists do when they don't have an argument.

Obama, who has criticized the Arizona immigration bill (has he read it, has anybody asked "The One" if he's read it?), has tasked Holder to find stuff in it to attack the State of Arizona and its good citizens.

Holder has had some things to say about the legislation. On "Meet the Press": [The Arizona law] "has the possibility of leading to racial profiling." He has said repeatedly the law was "unfortunate". Holder thinks too that the law may be unconstitutional because local law enforcement would be enforcing Federal law. How did this knucklehead get to be AG? Local law officers enforce Federal law all the time. 'So how come you let that murderer/rapist go local officer?' 'Federal crime, I ain't touchin' it.' Federal crimes include burglary, arson, rape, robbery or kidnapping, with a lot of caveats because we're talking about lawyers and politicians creating these laws.

Texas Rep. Ted Poe asked Holder in a hearing: "It's hard for me to understand how you would have concerns about something being unconstitutional if you haven't even read the law."

Holder: "I've just expressed concerns on the basis of what I've heard about the law. But I'm not in a position to say at this point, not having read the law, not having had the chance to interact with people are doing the review, exactly what my position is."

We are living with a political system where legislators don't read bills they pass. Gentle reminder: Pelosi's famous 'we'll have to pass the [health care] bill to find out what's in it', and Holder threatening to prosecute a State regarding legislation he hasn't read, in addition to his public attacks based only on Jurassic Press reports and other lap dogs of the Dems.

Pelosi Tells Church to Advocate for Amnesty from the Pulpit

Dems and their fellow Secularist travelers forever admonishing separation of church and State except when expedient and pushes their agenda. Have you noticed too that you only see Dems in church during campaigns? If you're Republican or Conservative and a person of Faith that goes to Services regularly, well then, you're ramming your beliefs down Secularists' throats. It's apparent here that she has no idea what goes on in churches. Here she seems to think that politics is important and to be debated from the pulpit, when what happens is how to apply scripture to improve the quality of our lives and serve others.

Supreme Court Nominee Elena Kagan-Anti-Free Speech

Seriously. She wrote in the University of Chicago Law Review, titled 'Private Speech, Public Purpose: the Role of Government Motive in First Amendment Doctrine,'that the free speech clause allows the government to limit speech if the government can show "proper intent" to limit speech. I've linked to the actual paper so you can see for yourself how she justifies limiting free speech.

Reminder of what the Constitution says: 'Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.'

It's pretty clear that 'no law' means 'no law'. That freedom of speech cannot be "abridged".

In her paper she advocates for just such governmental restrictions on free speech, as long as it can justify itself by presenting "proper intent".

She wrote that government can restrict speech if it deems that the speech may cause harm. She advocates governmental restrictions on speech that it thinks is an incitement to violence, hate-speech, threatening or “fighting” words. If the government decides that your words cause harm, in their view, you can be shut down and punished. Some of my Statist friends may like this idea, along with Obama, the Jurassic Press and Dems would like to shut down Fox News, Limbaugh, Hannity, Levin, etc., so this could be a good thing. Hmmmmm, how about a Conservative president and Congress that see's the Statist reporting of MSNBC, NBC, CBS, NY Times, WaPo etc., show harm in their view?

Kagan: “The doctrine of impermissible motive, viewed in this light, holds that the government may not signify disrespect for certain ideas and respect for others through burdens on expression.” “This does not mean that the government may never subject particular ideas to disadvantage. The government indeed may do so, if acting upon neutral, harm-based reasons.” Prez and his boy and girls see harm-based reason, as they define it, can shut down free speech?

Do you really what a Supreme Court Justice that believes the government should regulate speech?

This alone disqualifies her.

But The Tea Party Movement is the Real Threat

What she reveals...and we allow campus organizations for this cause, and try to ban Christian organizations and the US Military from campuses.

We have in our country people that support Islamofacism and the slaughter of Jews. They advocate a second holocaust and a universal totalitarian fascist state. I find what this woman says terrifying.

Yet this administration, Democrats, Leftists, Secularists, and the Main Stream Media pose that the biggest threat are people that want limited government, lower taxes, and secured borders.

I'm disgusted.

MSM- We Worship, You Don't Get to Decide

Here are some of the things not getting coverage, or over covered, that reflect the Statist, Obama sycophant Jurassic Press.

Have any heard one mention by Obama of the horrible floods in Tennessee? Has he flown there to assess the damage? Bush flew over in the aftermath of Katrina, and was pounded by the Dems and Jurassic Press for not landing. Where has the coverage been focused? Much of recent coverage has been on a couple birds afflicted with oil from the spill. There has been more coverage of those birds than on the eleven men that died in the oil rig explosion, or on the thirty deaths so far as a result of the flood.

The flood in Tennessee is the worst in about 500 years, and about two thirds of the state and bordering areas  are affected, and Nashville is under water. Has Obama said anything, or gone there? Nope. Can you imagine the press coverage and the condemnation of the Dems if Bush had behaved like this? Can you imagine the press coverage and the condemnation of the Dems if Bush had waited eight days, like Obama did, before taking any action on the oil spill? Plus Obama told a big whopper of a lie saying he had been on it since day one. Bush lied! Ooops. Wrong guy.

During the Bush administration, reports of deaths in Afghanistan were nearly daily. Nearly of third of the total deaths there have happened during the Obama administration. Coverage in the Jurassic Press? Nope. Are you hearing about Afghanistan at all? Could you imagine the pounding that would happen if the opposite were true, that a Republican came to power and that amount of increase in US casualties occurred?

The birds fit the "Green" agenda of the Jurassic Press, but not the cataclysmic floods, dead roughnecks, or US soldiers taking a beating because of the incompetent commander in chief.

You Can't Pray Before Dinner

There's a retirement home in Georgia, Port Wentworth's Ed Young Senior Citizens Center. Once again the intolerant anti-Christian secularist bigots and atheists use the Establishment Clause. It just says the government can't impose a religion, and the secularists change it to mean that you can't express religion in public.

The Senior center have some meals are discounted for the people there, and the difference between the retail cost and the discounted cost is picked up with Federal money. The knuckleheads at the Center, specifically Tim Rutherford, Senior Citizens Inc. vice president said some of his employees went to a luncheon, and horror of horrors, people were praying over their meal before eating, and this is a violation of the separation of church and state. This is just as stupid as a case a few years ago, a little girl riding the school bus home was reading the Bible, and was told she couldn't because it was a violation of the separation of church and state. The only thing I see separated here is knowledge and intelligence from people in positions of authority.

Apparently the prayer was public, and the backpedaling knuckleheads say the seasoned citizens can have a moment of silence, and pray to themselves, that they weren't saying there could be no prayer. What a bunch of lying nonsense. I recently saw an atheist poster, the famous painting of Jesus in the garden praying, saying "The best way to feel like you're making a difference in the world without actually having to do jack s**t." So, knuckleheads, if prayer is so meaningless, what's the beef?

To his credit, Mayor Glenn "Pig" Jones said this is pretty much just stupid, and is trying to get things straightened out. Jones: "It was one of the hardest things I ever did as mayor is to look those people in the eyes and ask them to be patient with me and honor their God in a moment of silence until I can have a resolution to this." "For me to look at their eyes and tell them they can't thank God for their food, it's unheard of - I can't take it."

Not okay to pray, but is okay to use the Federal Government to force intolerance and bigotry on the citizens, and repress freedom of religion in violation of the Constitution. It's what happens when Statists say the Constitution is a 'living document', meaning that anyone can say it means whatever they or the zeitgeist of the day says it means.

The Fading Church and the New Generation

"Spiritual not Religious" confounds me (I had written about it earlier here), and now there's a survey of 18- to 29-year-olds, known as "Millennials".

The survey was done by LifeWay Christian Resources, and found that in this age group, 72% say they're 'spiritual, not religious'. Of the 65% of this survey group (1200 people) that identified themselves as Christian, they don't pray much or attend services on a regular basis.

The thing about rejecting centuries of doctrine, creed and religious wisdom, is that one makes up one's own beliefs. Perfect for our egocentric, narcissistic culture. This endangers the Church. Dorothy Sayers published a book, "Creed or Chaos" 'Why Christians Must Choose Either Dogma or Disaster', contending that doctrine is vital to Faith. John 4:22- "You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvations is of the Jews." I'm saddened by how many Christians really don't know what they believe. What the Christian Creeds do is provide a point of reference, point out important points of Christian doctrine.

Now we have a whole generation not aware of doctrine, dogma, creed, or the commonalities of the Faith. Part of the rejection of church and dogma, is a misunderstanding of dogma. It's now viewed as something rigid and inflexible. Originally dogma, from the Greek root, meant something that was fitting and good. Christian Faith is fitting and good.

Something fitting and good, maybe something you haven't read in awhile, The Nicene Creed:
We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit
he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary,
and was made man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father [and the Son].
With the Father and the Son
he is worshipped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. AMEN.

Rick Warren from "Purpose Driven Life", I like this too: "As believers we share one Lord, one body, one purpose, one Father, one Spirit, one hope, one faith, one baptism and one Love."

Being 'not religious', threatens no only Christianity, but the personal sharing of other's experiences. God means us to be unified, and loving and supporting of each other. The church, the religious experience, brings that and much, much more.

Twin Towers Still Down, Muslim Worship Center Two Blocks from Zero Approved for Construction

Remember this? Rhetorical question. Muslims kill 3000 innocent people. A decade has gone by, and our incompetent government, the same one that has failed at pretty much everything it gets involved in, still has not replaced the buildings. There's still a big hole there. Gov't bureaucrats are still fighting over whatever stupid rules and turfs and little power plays they concoct to pretend they have jobs or are important or whatever; but what they did accomplish is to approve building a 13-story mosque and Islamic cultural center two blocks from ground zero. With unanimous approval the 12-member Community Board 1’s financial district committee approved the project.

How about a Nazi Museum (for the positive aspects) next to Holocaust Museum? Will the Islamofascists allow the building a bunch of Christian Churches, and how about some Synagogues, in Mecca next to that big rock they worship? How about a Memorial to the Japanese lives lost during Pearl Harbor at the WWII Memorial? How about a statue of Ho Chi Min next to the Vietnam Memorial Wall?

This makes me so angry, I can't even write anymore about it.

The Los Soles Support Fan Attendance with the Same Rules That Apply to Illegal Aliens

Since the Phoenix Suns support illegal immigration, free services to these border crossing criminals, and protest the legislation that over 70% of the people in Arizona support, the Washington Times has a fair play, walk your talk, idea. Full article here.
Imagine thousands of people were sneaking into Phoenix Suns games without tickets. The management would quickly crack down on the "undocumented spectators." Security personnel would engage in "profiling" - singling out younger male fans wandering around without obvious seats. They would want to see some "papers" - ticket stubs. Those lacking documentation would be deported out of the arena, or, in some cases, arrested.

So while millionaire athletes become walking billboards for a political cause, the state of Arizona might want to review the terms of its relationship with the Suns. If Mr. Sarver wants to use his team to push a political agenda, perhaps citizens can push back. Imagine Phoenix residents channeling the spirits of Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr. by turning up en masse to Suns games, sneaking in without tickets, demanding special services like free food and access to box seats, overtaxing arena security and ruining the game for the people with tickets. They can call it a celebration of diversity.

Also running up and down the court of hypocrisy, lying and theft, Robert Sarver, the knucklehead owner of the "Los Soles" (Los Suns is just stupid in addition to just wrong) took from American citizens $140 million in Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) to bail our his banks. He could have sold Los Soles and bailed his banks out.

We turn to sports for entertainment, release and escape from out busy, harried, stressful lives. I don't watch anywhere close to the amount of sports I did when I was younger, and perhaps we all might start thinking about doing the same as a matter personal action against a bunch of multi-millionaire jocks and owners that use their platform to ram their uninformed political views down our throats. What if they had a playoff and nobody came. Shut up sing. Shut up and act. Shut up and run. Shut up and jump. Shut up and throw.

Lakers Coach Phil Jackson: "Am I crazy, or am I the only one that heard [the legislature] say 'we just took the United States immigration law and adapted it to our state.' "

"I don't think teams should get involved in the political stuff. And I think this one's still kind of coming out to balance as to how it's going to be favorably looked upon by our public. If I heard it right the American people are really for stronger immigration laws, if I'm not mistaken. Where we stand as basketball teams, we should let that kind of play out and let the political end of that go where it's going to go."

How Does Your Income Stack Up To U.S. Government Salaries?

How does your private sector occupation pay you compared to someone doing the same job in the government? Check this out.

And they can keep cutting your salary, legally, causing you financial stress, while they enrich themselves.

Christians Riot Over Cartoon, Take to the Streets!

When I had cable, I was a fairly regular watcher of "South Park". It was not PC toward anybody, even intolerant controlling Liberals that bitch and moan at every criticism, parody, or satire. If I had cable now, I would make a point of not watching it. I also watched less of the "Comedy" channel then, because comedians for the most part are not creative or funny. Personal relationships, sex, sex, personal relationship, sex sex sex. No insightful word play like Carlin, no social commentary like Mort Sahl, no quick one liners like Henny Youngman...you get the picture. Why sex sex sex is so allegedly funny, I don't get. I don't ever remember laughing while engaging in horizontal tantric entwining...but I digress.

A couple weeks or so ago, Comedy Central made "South Park" pull some stuff about Mohamed because it might make Muslims mad, and they might riot, or kill people, and other stuff those bad tempered, humor lacking, intolerant, bigoted people do when their founder even has a representation or likeness of any sort made. You know, 'do what I say you can do, or I kill you!' sort of thing.

Now the "edgy" Comedy Central crew (and they are because they tell us they are) have come up with a slanderous show to premier about Jesus. This is okay to them. The show is about Jesus living in New York City, trying to live his life outside of the influence of a “powerful but apathetic father”. In the show, God is apathetic because He's always playing video games. Jesus is a loser trying to adjust to life in the big city.

Comedy Central’s head of original programming Kent Alterman: “In general, comedy in purist form always makes some people uncomfortable.” Well gee, Kent, if that's true, why did you back down from a little light satire about Mohamed? You're only making a few people uncomfortable. We all know the answer. Kent and his staff, and the Management of Comedy Central, are cowards.

Christians are okay to mock. "Piss Christ" by Serrano. Penn and Teller wheeling a crucified Christ out on stage and "performing a sex act on Him". Imagine a "Piss Mohamed"? Or Mohammad having a, let's say, homosexual act, say 'teabagging' act, performed by him? Now the low life, cowardly, bottom dwelling, alleged comedians at Comedy Central try and save face, and show they are brave and being 'edgy' by mocking the religion of billions of people? People they know won't threaten anybody, cause no harm to anybody; won't go out, destroy property and kill people, just because they take offense at the merest slight. Because they know Christians are a tolerant group, and forgiving of a lot of idiocy and insults. That's because we Christians know we're part of something Universal, Loving, and True. We can afford to give a pass to this kind of thing.

If anything, Comedy Central should be more embarrassed by this than their cowardly submission to Islamofacists' threats.

Now this is funny!
